Tried to purchase cooking classes for my sister in law, Joel directed me to PayPal to pay for the classes then got upset that I sent the payment as «goods and services» rather than «family and friends» because apparently you need to have a PayPal seller account and there is a small fee to gather funds and he didn’t want to set one up. This in itself was not a big deal but the way Joel interacted with me was and we ended up cancelling the class all together
I don’t think Joel teaches the cooking classes so my 1 star may not reflect their entire organization, but in my experience bad customer is systemic and I wouldn’t want to pay $ 120 bucks only to find out the Chef treats people the same way.
