Just checked out the El Korah Oasis this past weekend with my Unilocaler in crime Nick T.(it looks like he beat me to the review punch — I guess I better get used to being Robin). I can say nothing about the price of the drinks because Nick T. again beat me to the punch and paid the bill. I can only assume they were cheap because the bartender said they were and bartenders never lie. The Oasis is the kind of place my grandfather(a mason mind you, not a shriner) would have gotten a drink, and I would have loved to have had a drink with him here. At first I thought the review before Nick T.‘s said you needed to be accompanied by your own Shiner [beer], but I’m not sure that’s what he meant. I do not think what he says about members only is correct anymore, but if so we broke the rules this weekend.

Divey, relaxed, and cheap drinks. What’s not to like? It’s an understatement that this place is off the grid and unique. I like it because it’s an unpretentious bar.

I wouldn’t call this a dive bar as many have. Just because it has dime lighting and not crowded doesn’t necessarily give it the stereotypical dive bar reference. This place pulls in members of the brotherhood who are gentlemen and scholars. But even greater then that is the service and the womens bathroom! Ok ladies I’m not kidding Hollywood movie set style, I’m from California and this bathroom is the nicest and cleanest I have ever seen!!! Come visit for sure!!! Plus it’s smoke free added bonus!!!

This bar is the best place to pre-funk before hitting the more expensive places in town. They have the best pour for the value. I get my party on here first!

Only bar downtown that has a neighborhood bar vibe. Great prices, strong drinks, and wonderful clintel. I feel this place won’t be Boise’s best kept secret for long.
