The atmosphere is trendy and clean, and that is why Azure even gets two stars. Unfortunately Todd Alan’s skills didn’t match his ego. What a chop job, couldn’t even bring myself to go back for a fix in fear of more mishap. I’ll just leave this unpleasant experience where I found it, lucky my hair grows fast and I had no place special to go.

I took my girl friend into Azure salon to get a hair cut. She has long beautiful hair but needed some trimming of the ends. Tod Alan did her hair cut. We had to return within a few minutes of leaving as her bangs were hanging in her eyes and she could not even see. After getting home she washed her hair and dried it only to find that the left and right length was about 2 inched different. In the back it was layered wrong and the point of the hair was off to the right rather than in the mid line.
This was the worst hair cut I have ever seen and would not suggest visiting there. When I called to get a refund for the terrible hair cut I had to leave several messages. Not until I went into the salon and have one of the stylists there try calling Tod and the owner did I even get a call back. Actually a call back from the owner and a threat text from Tod who did my girlfriends hair. As a professional I expect more professionalism and not threats.
Tod did agree to refund my money finally until I let him know I was going to file a complaint with the board. I understand sometimes cuts may go wrong and that Is part of business, but the threats were totally uncalled for. I am filing a complaint about the threat he texted me. All I wanted was the money back to take her to someone else to fix what he had done.
Later I got a message from the owner Desiree who indicated if I complained to the board that she would see to it that I did not get a refund. She also indicated she was on the board. If that is the case then board members are not exempt and should be held to an even higher standard.
The hair cut was done almost a week ago and still no refund.

Azure stands alone as a swanky, sexy, salon (seriously, yay Boise!), but it’s awesomeness is compounded by Mr. Tod Alan who is a rockstar hair stylist. I’ve been following Tod around town for 15 years — I lived in Dallas and flew home to get my hair done, he’s that good — but am happy he’s found his home at Azure. The atmosphere is chic & artsy, but not stuffy. Service is great, I’ve even seen stylists holding their client’s babies while their color sets (I’m not advocating bringing your child to your hair appointment, this is the only quiet time some of us moms get), but still, they go above & beyond. If you’re looking for a great atmosphere to spend your time whilst getting an amazing hair cut &/​or color in the midst of great people, Azure is your place!

Boise gals, you are lucky to have had Patti Wells join the Azure staff. Patti is more than a stylist, she is an artist. I have fine/​straight hair and she cuts it like no one else can. It even looks good when in the morning before I do anything to it. Since she left Sun Valley, I now have to travel 2 hours to see her, it’s worth it!
