I’ve been going here for about 3 years after trying other Aveda Salons in the area I found the Aveda Institute had the best consistent service and standards! Not to mention the best prices! The teachers make sure of that. My boys love to go here too(I think it’s the scalp massage)!

Having graduated from this school myself, gave me an incredible head start in every aspect of the beauty industry. I transferred from a very well known school to The Aveda Institute, and in the first 6 months that I was there, I learned so much more than I had when I was a full time student at the school prior. The staff at Aveda was so professional and so welcoming from the moment I enrolled to my last days there right before graduating. Cosmetology schools should be structured and should enforce a positive learning environment and the instructors at Aveda take pride in doing so. I am so thankful for my transfer and that I had such an amazing experience and excellent education that was provided for me here at Aveda. I highly recommend calling the school and setting up an appointment with the phenomenal Admissions department to get the process going. They were so thorough and so informative about the entire course, financial aid, all the rules and regulations, they left nothing out and promptly answered any questions. The school is located in a great location with a heavy and steady volume of people so there is always room to grow and stay busy. Give them a call, you will not regret it!

I went in to have a facial. To my surprise I didn’t feel like I was in a school at all. The room set up was a relaxing spa environment. The service I received was amazing. The student was very in tune with my skin care needs and what I was looking for. I felt as if I should have paid 80. However it was well work the small fee of 20. I’m looking forward to my next facial treatment.

I’m always impressed with the beautiful hair and makeup done by the students at this school. They did all the hair and makeup for me and all the girls in my wedding party. Between the education they are receiving and the passion that shows in everything they do, they will be extremely successful in their careers.

I love absolutely everything about this school! We get such amazing classes everyday, and support from every member of the team. We are so blessed to have the opportunities we get, and to be surrounded by the people that will forever motivate me. I have so much respect for this school, and Aveda as a whole, because they have molded me into a better person. Because of the environment I’m in, I feel so much more confident in my skills and humbled as an individual.

Problems with nails, this was my first visit, very bad first impression. I would definitely advise against this if you have a special occasion. People nice, just bad skillsets.

I got a fantastic cut and color here today. At first I was nervous because it’s in a strip mall in a converted warehouse space, so it seemed a little worn-down. However, the service was fantastic. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and offered the delicious signature Aveda tea. My stylist, Veronica, took me to her station and we talked about what I wanted to do. I wasn’t sure, so she took time to help me figure out what color might be good. She helped me figure out what would look good on my skin tone, but be fun and not too much upkeep. When the instructor came over she was really hands-on and talked to Veronica about exactly what to do. Throughout the process the instructor offered a lot of feedback and suggestions, which I thought was great. I’ve been to all the local beauty schools, and usually teachers just sign off on the student’s work and walk away without really looking at it, much less teaching anything. This teacher really seemed to care both that the student was learning, and that I was satisfied with what I got. All the stylists around me were treated in the same way. When she shampooed my hair I got an awesome scalp massage and the wonderful smelling Aveda products. I left with a color I love and a cut I adore. At $ 12 for a cut and $ 40 for a single global color it’s a little steep for a school, but I do think I got more attention and higher quality than at the Milan, Oliver Finnley, or Scott Lewis schools. I also wasn’t pressured to buy products, which was nice. They were available, however. Since you can’t buy Aveda anywhere outside of licensed salons, it’s nice to know I can stop here. They offer a discount if you buy several products, which is good to keep in mind. I definitely recommend this school. All the stylists seemed very friendly and committed to their work. It wasn’t a giant hive like some other schools, and seemed more focused on each individual customer. Plus, I really liked my cut!
