Took a party bus up here from New Orleans with 20 coworkers. The whole experience went very smoothly, as this tubing place has a deal with a bus company for groups — you pay the bus driver cash when you get picked up, and that amount includes transportation to & from, plus personal tubes for each person AND unlimited cooler tubes! Plus, their tubes have headrests and cupholders. To top it off, I forgot my shirt by the big pile of tubes where you enter the river; they not only saved it for me, they MAILED it back to me FORFREE when I emailed them to discuss getting it back. Forget about the other 2 tubing places(both of which are also more expensive) and go here already!

I’ve been here twice now. It’s a relaxing alternative to the beach. You rent out a tube for $ 15(credit/debit is an extra $ 1), $ 5 to rent a cooler tube and $ 2 for ice. We tubed down the river for 3 – 4 hours and saw a lot of wild animals around the river and met other interesting tubers. Fun for the whole family or for groups of drunk college students.

A group of my friends and I met up here over the weekend, half of us from Jackson and the other half from New Orleans, and had one of the best days I’ve had all summer for sure! For $ 15, they’ll give you a nice, study tube to use for the day. For $ 5, you can rent a separate float that’s for your cooler. It’s a loooong float, so you’ll wanna bring some snacks and beverages and I highly suggest getting a cooler float. When you arrive at the tubing center, it’s in the middle of pretty much backwoods nothing. You’ll pay to rent your tube(bring cash, there’s a fee for using a card) and then they load everyone up in a big school bus. The school bus drives everyone down to the other end of the Bogue Chitto River. From there, you grab a float(they have single floats, and they’ve also got double floats you can share with a buddy or a significant other) and hop on the river. The river is warm, slow, and wide, just like a good floatin’ river should be. We went on a super hot July Sunday, and there was a good amount of other people on the river but it never felt crowded or too loud. For the most part, everyone is chilling. It’s really one of the best ways I can imagine spending these hot Southern weekends. Make sure to grab your sunscreen and some beers, and make a day of it. You won’t regret it.

I decided that a fun thing to do for my birthday would be to get out of the city and go tubing. This place was efficient, the people were very nice, and the tubes were new and comfortable. I was especially impressed with the cooler tubes, they are large and have a bottom so you can fit in a whole lot of stuff. My only complaint was the other tubers. Many were very obnoxious and loud, which I expected somewhat but many groups were inappropriate by chanting obscene frat songs and women taking off their tops. I think it might have been the timing, many colleges were getting out of school at this time. As a 30-something, the whole college thing was pushing on my nerves. I am all about having a good time but not everyone wants to hear about your sexual preferences. I also spotted several idiots using the river as a garbage can which really pisses me off. Overall, I had a good day and would come back.

My family and I went there on the 4th of July. It was well organized. The staff was nice. The river was wide enough for my family to hang out together and have other people go around us with no problem. The tubes were new. We hope to return!
