Two stars nothing against the food it’s American Thai with a Chinese, Japanese mix though. They are trying hard to learn the business part of the mix so they have it all wrong. Portions are medium not too small but definitely not big enough for the price. It’s takeout quality so it should be cheaper, but I get it they have too pay for the too fancy décor, again its takeout quality. The sushi guy is just learning and not that good at it for the price, its grocery quality sushi. The staff is very nice but also a bit hesitant and the food runs slow, it comes out takeout quality not 5 star saucy. The place is very clean and easy access with plenty of parking. Boerne has maybe 2 or 3 Asian food restaurants so they can succeed if they get it right or maybe they are cause as Richard Gear would say” I Got nowhere else to go!”. This was my second time here.

Why this place was busy and has good reviews I’ll never know. First we were offered a dark brown soup with no explanation of what it was but the broth was very salty and the noodles in it were not cooked properly. I could only eat 2 bites because of it’s saltiness. The water that I was served smelled and tasted of bleach so I went to my car to get my own cup of water. My husband ordered one of their pad thai plates. It did not look appetizing to me at all. He didn’t finish it. I ordered Wakame sushi roll specifically because the menu did not list any meat in it. It came out with shrimp. I like shrimp so I did try it but didn’t eat half of the plate. The rice was not rolled evenly at all. 4 – 5 grains thick on one side and 0 – 1 on the other. Probably sounds picky but every bite fell apart because of this. Super annoying but it didn’t taste that good anyway. I also ordered vegetarian egg rolls. They were okay at best. They were advertised as coming with a special sauce. When I flagged the waitress down to ask, she simply pointed to the sauce on the table, which had previously been moved to the opposite edge out of the way. She didn’t even bother to put it in the center as she walked away. The service was horrid, earning it this great review. We had to make several attempts to flag the waitress in order to put in our order. We asked for the check and after waiting and waiting and another motion to bring the check we finally went to the front to pay so we could get out of there. Definitely will NEVER return or recommend.

Traveling through Texas enroute to California! Had a hankering for Thai food. This restaurant is a hidden gem! The spring rolls and Pad Thai were delicious! Check this place out if you have a chance!

Not good folks. If you’re craving Thai food or sushi make a trip to San Antonio. The two stars are for the service. Super friendly servers and very laid back vibe. However, we ordered a beef plate that wasn’t edible. Zero taste and very tough beef. Two bites and we were done. And the sushi wasn’t good either. We’ve been trying everything Boerne has to offer since moving to town, but this place is off the list. One and done.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service. The curry dishes were excellent. Most dishes come with your choice of tofu, beef or chicken, shrimp or fish. Thumbs up from3 traveling Okie foodies.

Only 1 star, because I would never go back. The place was empty, you’d think I could pick my table, but no, I was ushered to a lousy table. Much worse than that, was the awful Chicken Pad Thai. Bland flavor, wrong type of noodles, rubbery chicken, and visually wrong. You need to go to San Francisco, where I never encountered bad Thai restaurants. Los Angeles has plenty of great Thai restaurants, also. Believe me Texans, this Thai food is just plain wrong.

This place is a wonderful surprise in Boerne. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The prices were a little on the high end but the food was high quality. We’ll definitely be back.

Service was great! Gyoza was wonderful! The Chirashi bowl however is very over priced. I eat a lot of Sahismi and have never seen the slices cut that small. If you love sushi or sashimi bypass the Chirashi bowl. Good job waiter and waitress.

Hands down the best Thai food in the area. Great pad Thai. Everything on the menu is worth trying. I haven’t had a bad dish yet. My personal favorite recently lately has been the curry. There’s never a bad choice at this restaurant.

Seriously… Get it together. Sarika’s is obviously in need of some extra FOH staff. I called in for take-out and finally got through on the 5th try. The woman on the other end was so rude and got frustrated with me because she couldn’t understand the last 4 digits of my phone number. After repeating it to her for the 5th time as clearly as possible she started cursing and hung up the phone on me. I arrived to find the establishment in complete disarray– tables full of people were walking out because their servers were nowhere to be found. Hire more staff before you lose even more business. And for god sakes learn some customer service skills.

Sarika’s is one of our favorites. We lunch here at least once a week. The summer rolls and pad thai with chicken are our go to dishes. For years, this has been one of the most consistent restaurants in Boerne. Good food, good service. They has a little dip for a few months when they brought in a partner who changed almost every item on the menu. They have corrected that and the original items are back on the menu. They also added Sushi a few months ago. I LOVE sushi and eat it often. While it is nice to not have to travel far for Sushi, I was not overly impressed. We were at the sushi bar and the sushi chef was overwhelmed with orders. The fish was fresh, but rice was small and did not old together. It has potential. Hope it gets better. At least my Pad Thai is back to original.

Back for second visit in as many weeks. This time, the service was much friendlier. Wifey got red curry with chicken and I the green with beef. Spicier than last time, perhaps a 6 on a 10 scale. Enough to make you sniffle, say«Damn this is hot!», take a sip to quench, then dive back in for more pleasure mixed with pain. Incredibly good. It’s like crack for the gastrointestinal tract!

Boerne’s only Thai Restaurant has made a dramatic improvement in quality and cuisine with New management. With the addition of Sushi Bar and Phở, Sarika’s has now become a major player in Boerne’s Restaurant Scene! Thank you Rocky for bringing your talent’s and knowledge to Boerne. The food, flavor and service is 5 stars. See the pictures!

So, now that I work in Boerne my husband and I decided to do a joint lunch at the only Thai place in town. It has a split Thai/Chinese food menu, but he had been before and reported it as «OK.» I really do try to be open minded at new places, but this one just wasn’t up to par on the food. The staff was perfectly friendly and we were seated and had our order taken quickly for a work lunch(the menu was a small, set price selection — which I generally expect for business day lunches). I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and my husband ordered their Pad King. This is where the first eyebrow raise happened — we were not asked for our spice level. At every other Thai place I have ever been, they ask you for some type of spiciness level, but nothing here. I figured I would wait and see what we got before I got grumpy over it. Our meal came with a small soup, which tasted like a cross between Tom Yum and Egg Drop, but was perfectly serviceable(no real heat or spice to it, though). When our meals arrived, I was pretty happy with the look of the Pad Thai and amount served, as was my husband with his dish. However, when we bit in, we discovered that there was NO spice. At all. My dish was actually cloyingly sweet and rather light on chicken and tofu. I tried adding some of the spicy oil from the table to heat up my dish as did my husband, but it just wasn’t enough/the right type or heat or flavor. I had to ask for take out half way through to I didn’t get sugar shock(or coat my mouth — it was as if there was no oil at all in the dish, let along hot oil). He reported his dish as also being a bit disappointing, with a thin sauce, seasoned rice that looked a little over done, and no spice either. The food wasn’t inedible, but certainly NOT up to par on taste or spice level. The staff pretty attentive, the prices OK. But having eaten at a variety of San Antonio Thai restraints, this one was«meh.» At best.
