I believe they are closing their doors, been there twice, and they are not open. The sign says otherwise, but they are CLOSED. Too bad no one has a good burger in Boerne, Longhorn Café is not consistent, and I doubt IN-N-OUT will come to Boerne anytime soon.

They did it again. Stupid is after being stiffed on Friday, go back today Monday. Same sign on the door — will open at noon. This time the chairs are on the floor, but it’s dark inside. A woman stares at us from the back of the room. What’s going on with this location? Be open as your posted hours state or give up the ghost. I think two chances is enough. Soda Pops was glad to have us.

My husband and I were passing thru Boerne TX and we asked the hotel front desk for somewhere to eat within walking distance and they recommended Cheesy Jane’s. I called to see if they had outside seating and allowed dogs, I spoke to the owner and he said he would set up a table outside for us. We walked over from the hotel and he had the table waiting for for us, our waitress was super nice, our beers were cold and our hamburgers were delicious!!! I would strongly recommend CJ to anyone passing thru or local.

We’ve given this place several tries and every time the food is dry, flavorless and overpriced. It’s unfortunate that the two burger places in Boerne are so disappointing…

Over cooked and over priced! Our burgers were way over cooked and dry, dry, dry. And the French fries and tots were covered in salt. What a disappointment for our hungry family and my wallet.

Went to Cheesy Janes today for lunch and decided to use a coupon I received in a welcome to Boerne packet. Unfortunately the manager refused to accept the coupon, because she didn’t know where it came from, but said if the owner, Dereck was here, he would take it. Well if the owner would take it, why won’t the manager??? Talk about a bad customer service!!!

Best milkshakes and malts in town! Page of options and they will still let you create your own. Great hamburgers and other options like an old fashion hamburger joint. Sign up for their text specials.

Oh thank you Jesus! I had totally forgotten that there was a CJs in Boerne until one afternoon while I was stranded in town. My wife was out drinking whatever Kool-Aid they pour down their throats downtown and I was left to my own devices since I «couldn’t be nice to the Etsy rejects». Doing a(quick) loop, you realize the only two options for food in Boerne are: 1) Fast Food 2) Some god damn hipster organic fair trade locally grown coffee shop and socialist indoctrination center I stumbled upon CJs while trying to get around a manure spreader that was hogging up both lanes. Oh how the sky opened and Jesus send a beam of light straight from Ronald Reagan’s pearly white teeth to shine upon the front door! I dare say that the burgers here are just as good as the ones at the Broadway location and better than the one off 1604. The space is cozy enough that even on a slow afternoon it still feels bustling. But most importantly, not one single pot brownie eating, ironic scarf swishing hipster in sight. Just good honest Americans praying before each tater tot consumed.

This was a good bacon burger, however the $ is not enough. This is a $$$!! All I got was a 1/3lb burger, small order of sweet potato fries, and a small tea and it was $ 13 and change. I was expecting a good burger combo to be around 10 – 11 bucks tops.

One of the few places in Boerne that has had consistently great service and food over the years. I am a big fan of the Southwest Burger and the Bean Burger. Kids like the sliders and the cherry coke.

We were the second customers of the day. After our food was served, we were told that their credit card capability was down. I walked over to a nearby bank to get cash, then asked for them to comp the ATM fee. Denied. They were in it for the money. In good faith I paid, but I should have just walked. Food was good as usual. Just too expensive to enjoy. No consideration of the customer. My food was overpriced and included an ATM fee. Ridiculous situation. We won’t be back.

This place had really good burgers & fries, We also tried the Spicy Splinters for a starter and they were amazing! I would go here again for sure. I ordered the Southwest burger because I am a very close friend with green chile. I am from New Mexico so its what I grew up with, I ate it on everything and I always try new Green Chile and see if anything ever compares, Sorry Chessy janes. it was good but its not New Mexico Authentic green chile. Still a good burger, Fell apart really easy that part kinda sucked but all in all it was great. I would go back.

Good burgers, the bean burger is tasty. The shakes are awesome, the peanut butter & jelly is a favorite. The nutter butter and choco-banana are also great.

Mixed reviews from me and the bf on this one — I ordered the special of the day which was Philly cheese steak and was pleasantly surprised. Roll was soft, plenty of meat, lots of mushrooms and gooey cheese(no, not cheez whiz here kids). I also got the chili cheese tots with jalapenos — they were delish but the chili made them into a pile of mush — still tasty(maybe it was just that I was starving). The bf got the Pecos burger and was not pleasantly surprised. I had a few bites and would not order again. Burger was too well done for my liking(menu states they’re cooked to med-well but they clearly do not know what that means). It comes w/BBQ sauce but you could barely taste it, was very dry all the way around. His came with onion rings and they came out overcooked with most of the breading gone. My guess here is that the oil was too hot. He thinks the place should be called«Plain Janes» instead of Cheesy Jane’s. After seeing the milkshakes coming out of the kitchen I regret not ordering one… they seem pretty hard to mess up and would be the only reason for me to return to this joint.

I came here for dinner with my family. We all had a variety of different things to eat. My favorite was the sweet potato fries. You should try them. Service was a little slow but I believe we had a new waiter. We all were laughing because he was the king of drink refills. He might have forgotten part of our orders but no one was left with an empty glass at any part of the meal.

Well… I read the reviews and being somewhat of a burger guy I was intrigued. So I gave it a try. I was greeted by a less than excited host, picked my seat and checked the menu. I did go with the name sake burger(cheesy Jane) and added jalapeños and fries. As I waited for my burger I did notice that the reviews about the staff were pretty much in target. They were more interested in themselves then adding to the character if the place. Even when they did talk to you. They seemed almost afraid to speak. The score is nice, but could use more memorabilia to complete the experience. Shortly my food arrived and I found the burger was definitely better than most fast food places and the fries were fresh and crisp, almost perfect. I am not sure that it is worth the price of $ 12, I have had much better for less money. So, if you don’t care about atmosphere or taking you order home I would recommend Cheesy Janes.

If you like poor service and worse food this is the place for you! My recommendation is to go 100 yards farther and go to Sonic. Food is cheaper and the service is better… Burgers are about the same.

I didnt like this cheesy janes as much as my first visit to the san antonio bandera location. But really a great waiter makes all the difference in your experience. Ill agree the younger kids that work here havent gotten the boot up the butt enough to learn a job is for work not gossip but they still get you your food and fix it if its wrong. I dont think theres as much passion from the workers as there could be and perhaps this is why the location falls a bit more flat in every category than its sister locations in S.A. Still a good place for decent food, homemade onion rings, and a great drink option that makes you feel like your back in a 50’s from seaworld(or was that fiesta texas?) chilling between your lifes daily to-do lists.

I stopped in to Cheesy Jane’s for lunch while on a business trip for work. Thanks to my Unilocal«nearby» app… Cheesy Jane’s sounded like the lunch spot winner. I walked in and was met with a retro diner feel and immediately greeted by a waiter. Service was fast and impeccable. I went with the Southwest Burger. It was huge and tasty. The bun they used had cheese and jalapenos baked right in– oh yes. Toppings consisted of diced chiles, diced tomatoes, a spicy-chile mayo, cheese and pickles. The fries were also great– spiced just right… not too spicy but not bland. I’m not in Boerne often, but I’ll definitely be back if so.
