This place was the first time I had ever really tried sushi, it was while I was in college at FAU, and I practically died. THIS is what I had been missing out on for so long. Always get the Volcano Roll. Just recently I also got the Mexican Roll, which was okay, but then again everything is sub par compared to the Volcano Roll. This roll is served cool with a nice and hot layer of crab and mayo on top. The coolness of the actual sushi roll mixed with the warmness of the«volcano» deliciousness on top makes my taste buds wanna sing. I also recently tried to chicken fried rice which was good. Hugeeee portion and way too many carrots in it. But other than that, this place never fails to disappoint.

Honestly not really worth the time considering the plethora of better options in the area. We came here because there was a long wait at the sushi bar around the corner. Despite being the only customers at lunchtime, the order took quite long. Service was inattentive at best. The sushi was okay, but definitely not for the price they were asking, which is what I’d expect to pay at a high-tier sushi restaurant. It’s pretty obvious this place is attractive for happy hour binging on California rolls but not much else.

I’m only giving them a 4 because they went through a rough patch. I’ve been coming to Yokohama since they opened! If you’re looking for luxury this isn’t the place. This is a fun and chill spot. Small in size. Cozy for sure. Food is yummy and you literally can’t beat their half off menu. You can taste a bit of everything for under $ 10! Great spot for anyone who works late. Serve food until 1:30am. Nice location but parking is a pain.

As you can tell from its 2−½ star rating, this place is nothing special. The décor gets zero stars, the food is barely acceptable. The tea is made from powder, the crabmeat is imitation, and the fish eggs aren’t fish eggs. But my biggest grievance is the dishonesty. I bought a coupon. When I presented it, they told me they wouldn’t honor it because most of what we ordered was from the special or half price menu. My wife ordered a sushi sashimi combo for $ 14.00, it didn’t qualify for the because it was 50% off the regular price of $ 28.00. Nobu would be embarrassed to charge $ 28.00 for this small serving of mediocre fish. Half price doesn’t mean much when full price would be ripoff expensive. Then claiming that because it’s a special promotion they won’t honor the coupon I paid for, is adding insult to injury. I’ll never go back, so I guess I’ll have to chalk up the waste of paying for a coupon, to experience.
