William Masters himself is an old-school style barber, but as Ken Z. noted in his review, Will’s shop doesn’t reflect that – it’s definitely designed to appeal more to a woman’s aesthetic(a lot of the décor seems to be from IKEA). I agree with Larry P. that this shop appeals to a «guy’s guy.» Will cuts women’s hair, but doesn’t seem all that comfortable talking with women as he does so. I did not, for instance, experience any friendly conversation or banter when he recently cut my hair, even though he had chatted up the male customers who preceded me. He was so quiet as he cut my hair that things began to feel awkward. That said, he gave me a servicable haircut. I doubt I’ll go back, but will recommend him to all the guys I know. His shop is clean, his haircut prices are right, and for people who would rather give their hard-earned dollars to a local business than a corporation, The Cutters of Hair is a great choice.

My hair was cut here about a week ago. Based on the previous review, was expecting a barber shop i.e. old school place where men get their hair cut. Walking up, notieced that the door says Unisex Salon. Inside feels more like a salon than a barber shop. Not that there is anything wrong with that — just not what I was expecting. The man who appeared to be the owner directed me to the chair of a young lady. She cut my hair the way I asked her to, was fairly quick about it, and conversation was decent. Sign out front said 20% off for new customers. Haircut normally $ 15, they charged me $ 13. Yeah, they’re mathematically challenged, but since I went in planning on paying $ 15 based on the previous review, I was fine with the $ 13. Not sure whether to give them 3 or 4 stars. Since no attempt to remove loose hairs from my head(a vacuum works great at other places I’ve frequented), I’ll call it 3. If you’re in the area and need a cheap, decent, quick cut, then go.

Will Masters recently opened up his own barber shop in Boca Teeca plaza. It’s the perfect place for a guys’ guy to go get his haircut. Will gives great haircuts and is a great conversationalist. For a guy in his late 60’s, he takes incredible care of himself and we usually talk shop about fitness, exercising, and keeping healthy. He has a cool voice too, kinda sounds like Jimmy Durante. For 15 bucks, you can’t beat it. And during his grand opening period, you can get a haircut for 8 bucks!
