Southern Pond & Fountain

I would like to save others money, frustration and time so stay away from Southern Pond & Fountain in Boca Raton. I thought this company was reputable but clearly I was wrong. Maybe if you have a job that costs a ton of money, he is but otherwise this is most irresponsible and unreliable person and company I have ever used. I spent a lot of money on his advise to clean and fix a small fish pond. Immediately after the initial work was done, the pond was already dirty. I called for advise but no calls were ever returned nor were emails or texts. He always has an excuse of being too busy so he should not take on jobs rather than using people, taking money and leaving people high and dry. I somehow figured it out on my own through trial and error. Months passed with me taking perfect care of the pond and all the while spending money on fish and supplies. Then, the pond turned horribly green. No matter what I did, it wouldn’t get clear. After a ton of calls to this person my call was finally returned after a ton of personal excuses for not serving me as customer. I was convinced next I needed to spend even more money which I did and was assured the water would forever be clear. A sterilizer was purchased for yet another $ 400. After installation, the very next day the pond starting losing water. Southern Pond blamed the tree cutting people who happened to do work the next day after he left. Regardless of who caused the problem, I didn’t care, I wanted the leak fixed so I wouldn’t lose all of my fish and be able to use the pond with all of the equipment he had just installed and I paid for. Talk about a huge let down. He promised to be at my home on a certain day to fix it and never came, never called, never sent a text back — nothing!!! All of my fish died and now I am left with a hole in the ground with equipment. Now I have to start over with another company. Do not use Southern Pond!
