I had the maple bacon doughnut and it was mind blowing! Tasted very fresh. Iced coffee was great as well.

This restaurant has great donuts, however they never have enough to last even a few hours. If you do not get to the store within the first hour or two there is almost no selection. They really need to work on their bakery and distribution. It could be absolutely excellent if only they had donuts past 9−10am every day. I hope they work out the kinks as it is very good.

Going to bump them up to a 4. I stopped by this morning after a trip to the beach for sunrise. If you know me, then you know that photography is a hobby of mine that I absolutely love. The beach is perfect for pictures at sunrise. Doughnuts are perfect for after taking pictures of the sunrise on the beach. Since Rhino is only a few minutes away, the location is extremely convenient, and I simply swing by after I leave the beach. It’s on the south side of 2nd, with plenty of parking. I still believe that they could improve the doughnuts as far as being on the level of a place like Mojo Donuts. However, after finishing the guava & cheese doughnut, then moving on to the lemon meringue, I firmly believe that if they wanted to take it to the next level – they absolutely are capable of just that. I’m in fat-kid heaven right about now – and I’m going to pay for it later, but that’s OK. The doughnuts were extremely delicious. I mean, man, that guava and cheese blew me away this time. The lemon meringue was just sweet enough. They were tasty and had plenty of filling. I also tried the coffee. A tiny amount of sugar, half & half, and a little cinnamon were added to it. It was amazing. I could really taste the flavor of the coffee. You know, I love when I can taste the flavor of the coffee and not have to mask it with sugar. I truly enjoy coffee without sugar – if it’s a good brew. The next time I visit, I won’t be adding any sugar to my coffee. I must say that I’m impressed and underestimated you. Big thumbs up, Rhino!

Not a bad donut shop. Very friendly staff and great tasting donuts. Though, I believe they are under renovation and hours have been shortened. Also, come early otherwise the donuts will all be sold out. I’ve tried the toasted coconut, smore, crème brûlée, key lime pie, and cookie and cream! Try any of them! I’m sure any flavor will be good. What’s great about these donuts is that they all taste fresh. They don’t harden up at all!

Pretty good donuts! My hubby and I went here after church. We actually had to call before because we didn’t think it was open. On a Sunday, a lot of the places next to it aren’t open yet, so just know that it opens 8 – 4! Also maybe a sign saying open brightly lit up would be helpful! We really would have drove away, if I was adamant about going there lol. The space is very trendy. Chevron walls, large chic donut pictures, and fun seating! We sat on their large table with benches! Super cute! The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly! He told us about all the flavors and what were popular :) super helpful! I loved it! Now the donuts! The bacon donut had my name all over it! It was amazing! Something about bacon, fried dough, and sweet goodness is just the epitome of breakfast! Rhinos was spot on! Not so sweet and perfect bacon additions. The next donut had was the crème brûlée. It was kind of disappointing since there was slot of hype for it. The crème was kind of bland and the outside glaze was tasteless. My hubby got the cronut which he loved. He said it tasted like Krispy Kreme :) lastly he got the huge apple fritter, which he quoted as a flavor overload! Price was decent for chef crafted donuts! Definitely recommend coming here! Your sweet tooth will thank you !

Oh YUM SITREP You know how the saying goes, «When you’ve been to one Rhino, you… CAN’T WAITTOTRYANOTHER!!! Okay, oKay, so that’s NOT exactly how the saying goes, but it’s the truth! THESETUP So my good friends Janine & Jennifer had me ball-gagged in their closet. But I managed to escape when they were at work cause their puppies licked the knots free around my wrists, and so I escaped(but I’ll have to be back in a few hours otherwise they will be REALLY pissed). But you know how it is when you haven’t eaten for awhile(like…5 hours…) and so as I was wandering around the lovely Boca Raton hood(ducking quickly behind shrubberies if I thought I spotted Janine & Jennifer’s SUV), I chanced upon Rhino Doughnuts & Coffee! Now I’ve visited the one Rhino in Parrot Plaza @ «Lauderdale-By-The-Sea» and loved that set-up. LOCATION&SIGNAGE This location is not as big, and like a doofus I seemed totally disoriented because at first I couldn’t find the store location in the strip mall, until I REALIZED that the signage above was missing the«R» in the sign: But my mind was tired apparently, and not making the necessary extrapolation from«HINO»(but which at first my mind DID think was some plus-size Men’s store). Yet on a more serious note, there is not as big a selection of donuts or cronuts(in fact, they were out of cronuts). So I settled in on an Old Fashioned Chocolate which was outstanding nonetheless! The set-up is cheery, fun, spry and they DO have WiFi! THELOWDOWN Definitely a sweet spot to satisfy your sweet tooth in the sweet hood of Boca Raton!

I haven’t been here in quite a while and the last time I took a dozen donuts back to the office and everyone was thrilled with them! This time, I must say the selection was the same amount, but the donuts just did not look good. I tried one anyway, the crème brûlée, and it was subpar. Not even mediocre. I probably should’ve taken more pictures, but the things that I noticed besides the bathroom was the broken sign out front and the kitchen itself, which you walk past if you go to the restroom, was untidy and frankly not very clean. It just did not look like any kind of gourmet anything. The place is really slipping. Maybe they changed ownership or management or something, but I just did not get a good impression and will not be returning.

Short review because it was just a quick visit as we got our donuts to go. Wanted to come for their specialty drink donuts but they’re only available on the weekends. I really wanted to try them all! C’mon, Guinness donuts! The guy behind the counter somehow figured out that we weren’t from the area, because after being indecisive about the first donut, he allowed us to have another choice for free and mentioned, «since you’ve came all the way here». I don’t recall ever mentioning our whereabouts, but I guess we had the look of newcomers! Thanks for the complimentary donut — it helped us narrow down our options! Got the s’mores and the raspberry cheesecake donuts. The cheesecake one was bomb! If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll make sure it’s a weekend to try those weekend-only donuts! Oh and thanks for the extra stickers for my scrapbook!

I do love me a nice fat, filled doughnut. It’s probably the most American thing I’ve adopted into my pallet. Not only that, the perfect pairing of coffee with a doughnut, wowza, the US got that right. Iced coffee, hot coffee, steamed milk… you name it that got it — and its good. What I love about Rhino. I first tasted Rhino at a Unilocal event in Mizner. It was love at first bite. They have a great selection from scrumptious to «wow that’s an odd combo». Either you’re in an adventurous mood or you need to tame the sweet tooth, whichever, they have something for that. I’ve tried: the white russian, s’mores, crème brûlée, maple bacon, Jelly and probably more that haven’t come to mind. I’m lucky that my high metabolism hides my gluttonous eating habits. With that said, if you’re going to challenge hot krispy kremes, you might as well hit up Rhino.

Went to the location in Sunrise. Hard to find(they don’t yet have a sign outside) but so worth the search. Donuts are sinfully good. My favorite is the Key Lime Pie. Treat yourself and visit Rhino Donuts

The shop is clean, cute and quaint. The donuts are amazing to say the least! I had the maple pecan, boston crème, nutella, snickers, white choc coconut and one other which was called a mudslide or something; shameful I can’t remember since it was my favorite but it was filled, had ground oreos on the top and tasted out of this world. The maple pecan one astounded me with the balance of flavors and with the size of the donut as well. I had the snickers one which would be a chocolate lovers delight! My favorites which I recommend are the white chocolate coconut, maple pecan, Boston crème and the mudslide donut! Going back for more for sure!

Being a fat kid, I love doughnuts from places other than Dunkin. Recently, I learned of this new hot spot in Boca. I salivated at the idea of good doughnuts, where I don’t have to drive to Dandee. To get a good review, I purchased their standard glazed doughnut, and their hottest seller(Crème Brûlée). Pros: –Their coffee is pretty decent. Certainly not Dunkin’s brew, but not bad. –The establishment was very new and clean. –The staff seemed professional. –The doughnuts are presented beautifully. –The doughnuts feature cool, unorthodox toppings, which is a fun change of pace. Cons: –If you’re used to a fresh doughnut which makes you mouth melt and your mid section swell, you won’t taste that here. –The doughnuts are a lot of flash and no substance. The toppings are cool, but the doughnut itself is frozen tasting, and unimpressive. –They don’t make their doughnuts in store. –The place is almost sterile, and lacks the character of a Dandee. –Good luck getting a doughnut. I tried visiting the location twice, and it was closed at noon, after running out. Running out? Very wise business plan. If you like pretty doughnuts, and aren’t into taste, this is your spot. It’s a very«Boca» establishment.

Rhino Donuts & Coffee are franchised coffee shops in at least 2 locations, Boca Raton on NE2nd Street in strip mall across from Mizner Park. The first location is in Lauderdale By The Sea. When that location opened it won the Best New Coffee House in South Florida. The Boca location has the same coffee and donuts, all donuts made in a central location FRESH with NOTRANSFATS. They deliver every morning to both locations by 6am. I ordered a cup of their very special coffee. Comes in «Smooth» or «Bold». I ordered the Bold. Really great, and their coffee is Organic!!! They also offer expresso and Cappuccino. The donuts varieties are outrageous. Snicker donuts, jelly and chocolate filled and different fruit donuts. They also serve Cinnamon Buns also with no Trans Fats. Never thought possible. The highlight of their donut varieties are their Drunkin DONUTS, infused with YOUGUESSEDIT: Alcohol!!! We split the Vodka and Kailua infused donut filled with chocolate mouse and Oreo crumbs on top. So delicious. One more I may have caught a buzz. When you walk in you can see a display of their different donut varieties and the owner and staff explain everything they have to you when you walk in. Specifically all the ingredients. Cutest little coffee and donut shop is open at 7 am during the week in case you want to stop on before work!!! I will be!!!

Decent donuts, but did not meet my expectations. On the positive side RD does have about a dozen or so different donut toppings and the folks manning the counter were friendly enough. I had ordered a sea salt caramel donut and the topping on it was good, and you were able to definitely taste the sea salt in the caramel. Also, the coffee, which I understand is roasted specifically for them, was not bad either — although we were never given the option of choosing smooth or bold, which RD claims you can pick. However, these«gourmet» donuts appear to be all the same base of a Krispy Kream type yellow donut, with the only difference between any of the donuts being the topping or fillings. I could not see any donuts with a chocolate base and although they advertised cake donuts, I did not see any either. Also the toppings are a bit hit or miss. Although I liked my my donut, there was a chocolate ganache topped donut that my wife tried that was not good. The ganache was a bit runny and not much taste to the ganache. The donuts are also a bit on the small side and served to us in a styrofoam bowl. Now I am not saying it has to be served on a silver platter, but serving styrofoam undercuts the«gourmet» donut feel RD is attempting to project. Would I return? Yes. Will see if I like the cake donuts any better.

I don’t understand the negative reviews. I was here yesterday and overall I had a great experience. Was the service a bit slow? Absolutely. Is it annoying when people don’t look at the donuts on display when they first come in and ask what is available? Yes. However, the donuts I had(maple bacon without filling and white chocolate coconut — don’t judge me for being a fat kid on Saturday) were practically melting in my mouth. Pretty darn good. The iced coffee was also quite good. I just wish there was slightly more outdoor seating, but I can’t fault the place, because they make do with what they have outdoors wise.

Yummy! These are really good, yeast donuts turned into fun flavors. After months and months of waiting for this to open(it’s not far from where I work and it was a constant discussion of if this place would ever open as the sign ‘Coming Soon’ taunted us since spring), it’s finally here! It’s the only place with good donuts I’ve found so far in Boca. When you walk in, the donuts they have are lined on a small shelf to your right. You’ll need an explanation — they have a lot of flavors and looks are deceiving. Some flavors include: s’mores, crème brûlée, strawberry cheesecake, peanut butter and jelly as well as normal ones like jelly, glazed, and sprinkles. I’ve tried strawberry cheesecake, crème brûlée, and smores. Their dough is good, but in the case of the crème brûlée, didn’t hold the vanilla custard very well and the donut was mostly custard with a small, flat wall of dough(no yummy fluffy-ness that the smores had). The strawberry cheesecake was my favorite — a very yummy topping that hit upon cheesecake filling and crust with strawberries in the middle. It seems some flavors are better than others — s’mores was just a chocolate donut with some marshmallow in the middle — nothing special. The staff is very friendly and inviting. One of the days I came in they had a power outage and even came outside of the restaurant to let us know they were open(I had given up actually and was about to walk away). Definitely stop in and give it a try! It’s great and there is usually parking in the morning to grab a donut and coffee before work!
