Great find! The staff is very helpful and even went as far as giving me tips on how to best prepare the whole snapper that I purchased and had them clean for me. The fish dip is out of this world, too. One of the cleanest fish markets I’ve been to. I will be back very soon.

No whole fish, all fish individually portioned and wrapped. Was charged for an item that is priced by the pound before the item was weighed. Will definitely be reporting that to the State! Not very friendly either.

Coming from New England, I am a bit biased about seafood markets. All of the prepared shrimp was farm raised. A good part of the fish was farm raised. No one could tell me how long the wild caught fish had been on ice or where it had come from. Dollar for dollar, you are better off to order wild caught seafood from cold waters and have it sent over night. Same price. Better seafood. Solid answers.

I Just Had The Salmon is was great and Fresh, I also Had the Dolphin for the first time and so far is probably my favorite (I need to taste the rest :)

I use to purchase a great deal of seafood 3 to 4 times a week from these people. I had them send to different states for me and at that time the customer service was fantastic, especially when the owners wife was there.
Today 09-​19-​2015 I walked inside and a young punk was standing behind the counter with his head on the counter. He never said anything. Eventually he picked his head up and asked me «what do you need». My response was nothing from you based on your attitude. I was as polite as I could be.
The owner walks out and these are his words… What! Does somebody have to look a certain way to take care of you?
I don’t understand why a owner of any establishment that we as customers purchase from can be that way. His last comment was” get the fuck out of here”!
I will say that I will never go to Dixie Seafood again and every chance I get I will throw him under the bus!!!
I grew up in Florida and they are not the only place that has seafood.
Please, customer service has gone out the window!
I don’t have that luxury in my business and the way the owner treated me is unacceptable!!! Never will I step foot in to his place! I hope that people will start saying NO to bad customer service. We put food on their table and they need to understand thats

One more thing, David O who submitted his review is a very close friend of mine. His sister and i have been dating for several years. We spent $ 300.00 the day he wrote his review. David and myself are professionals and he just lost four customers. I am going to tell everyone I know about this. Many great places to go for fresh seafood!

The best shrimp I ever had 100% good the best seafood in FLORIDA no mistakes…

Shopped in to grab a few things to throw on the grill and I’m so glad we stopped here first. They have a great selection of practically anything that comes from the ocean presented in a very clean environment and plentiful. It’s oblivious these guys sell a lot of seafood everything in the cases was fresh making it a tough decision. We settled on some beautiful Chilean Sea Bass and a couple of huge lobster tails. The staff here is not only very knowledgable they are extremely friendly and will offer advice when asked. This is a first class seafood market everything we purchased was delicious if I lived here this is where I’d be spending my money. The owner also insisted that we sample some fresh smoked Wahoo it was to die for. look no further than Old Dixie Seafood when quality and selection is your first priority.

This really is a great fish market. Small place. They don’t always have everything but they always have very fresh fish. Swordfish was beautiful. I also get stone crab here. They get them fresh and drive them up from Miami and they beat the freshness I have gotten at whole foods or other place. Their mustard sauce is he real deal and so is their amazing smoked marlin dip. A must try.

Quite possibly the best fish market I have ever been too and definitely one of best in Florida. All of the prepared dishes are delicious and high quality (tuna fish salad is made from sushi grade tuna), stone crabs were fresh and well priced (they pick them up right from dock), and the fish in general is very fresh. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly.
BTW, the in-​house fish dip is heavenly.

Prices are very good and the staff is a great help.
Hali is one of the staff there and does a great job and is always happy to serve.
