MEAT is a solid burger joint with some unique choices to eat. They also have a decent selection of craft beer on tap and in bottles/cans. I agree with the other reviews about how strange is feels walking into a bank lobby to eat, but when you sit down to eat it’s very enjoyable. It’s very quiet in there which I actually really enjoyed, it was like a bit of calm during a hectic busy day. So when we walked in we were greeted by the bar tender, who was very friendly and explained how everything works, the different menu options & drinks. You order at the bar and then take a seat anywhere in the lobby. We chose a booth that was SOOOOCOMFORTABLE, I almost wanted to lay down and take a nap. They bring your order to your table. Food came out quick and I loved the presentation. They brand ‘MEAT’ into the top of the bun which is a nice touch. I ordered the Dr Jelly, which was one of the more unique burgers that I’ve seen on any menu before. A burger with blueberries, bananas, bacon, pepper jack cheese and onion rings. I’m a huge burger person(the road to my heart is paved with burgers and sushi), and this place was definitely another stepping stone on that path. During our dining we were attended to periodically which was nice, and we were given a friendly farewell as we left.

You order at the bar then it’s table service. Everyone was nice & friendly. Loved the location! It’s quiet in a big building. Bar seating with some tables in a lobby. The most comfortable booths EVER! I ordered the Nancy Pants and it was great & came with seriously yummy fries.

This has been on our list of wanting to go for a while. We stopped for lunch and we both agree for such a small place they produce some amazing food. First on the list was the onion rings with beer cheese sauce, delicious combo. We each had a burger Waygu and Jelly. The Waygu was a lean 8oz. patty with lettuce, tomato and cheese. I had the Dr Jelly Finger, rated the best burger with onion rings, jelly and terrific bacon. The buns were toasted on the grill and held up well. The homemade condiments Chipotle ketchup and beer mustard had a great flavor from the norm. As good as the food was the service was not great. The cashier clearly doesn’t want to be here and the waiter needed lessons on how to wait on people. We would come back for the food.

Everything was amazing! I ended up having the veggie burger, pulled pork sliders, and their home made macadamia nut white chocolate chip cookies, that made me melt in my seat!

Holy shit, I am full! Had the pleasure of dining here today. I can’t believe the freshness and creativity of the food here. We tried the tapenade, beer cheese soup, fried corn on the cob, chorizo patty and inside out burger. Absolutely EVERYTHING was of the utmost freshness from the burgers to the fries and onion rings to the homemade ketchup and mustard. This place is the real deal. I’m so glad we found it and i. dont care that it’s 45 minutes from my house. I don’t want to sound like Arnold Schwarzenegger but, I’LLBEBACK!!!

My friend & I went to M.E.A.T. after hearing so many great things about it. Unfortunately the burgers were good but very small. If you’re going to charge $ 13.95 for a burger, it should be larger than the palm of your hand. Also brewed iced tea, not instant, is basic business.

At a first glance this restaurant looks like it would be nothing more than a lunch stop for business workers in a bank building. That is far from the reality. M.E.A.T. Eatery and Tap room does not disappoint! This small pub style restaurant served up one of the best burgers I’ve ever had accompanied by fresh hot truffle fries. I decided to check this place out after seeing other people talking about their burgers online. I decided to go with their best seller the«Inside-out juicy Lucy» The burger was perfectly cooked and the stuffing with pimento cheese was a perfect addition to the burger. Am most definitely coming back to try some of the other burgers!

Went this past Saturday after my god daughters graduation and well WOW! I had the Dr Jelly Finger cause we’ll certainly would never make that at home. It was PERFECTION !!! Just truly prefect combo of flavors and sweet and salty. Was just in tastebud nirvana. Wasn’t equally pleased with coleslaw, darn a miss with that. Service was great. So I will be back and may even drive from PSL for it. And please consider opening one more north!!!

Unusual location for a burger place — it’s in the lobby of a generic looking commercial building but the food is good so that’s what matters. Had lunch here while we in Boca yesterday; I had the Inside-Out Juicy Lucy burger with their pimento cheese and bacon along with the duck fat fries and my partner had the House burger and onion rings. Both burgers were a blend of brisket and beef and were very good. The onion rings’ coating had a mixture of various spices including what tasted, somewhat, like curry powder. We both love curry and they were great with MEAT’s own mango ketchup. We both would like to come back and try some of their other items. The menu shows creativity; featuring not only burgers and pulled pork, but there were a lot of specials too, including fish. The Nutella ice cream was a perfect finish.

It’s a solid burger joint where they make good burgers and good shakes. Located in a nondescript commercial building can leave for a bit of a mindbend certainly. Most buildings that rent to financial services companies are not places you expect to find good eats. But M.E.A.T. is the exception. Get their Jelly-Belly or Inside-Out Juicy Lucy burger. They’re both excellent.

Really enjoyed this place! Saw they had been voted«Best Burger in Florida» by Trip Advisor in 2014 and Thrillist in 2015 so it felt like a must visit place and also figured my major carnivore of a boyfriend would enjoy it too. ;-) We ordered the Dr. Jelly Finger and the Inside Out Jucy Lucy and also took advantage of the complimentary hummus for checking in on Unilocal. The Dr. Jelly Finger definitely had an interesting combo of flavors going on– it’s topped with fresh jelly and homemade bacon. I would order the Jucy Lucy every chance I could if we lived closer. After taking the first bite, the burger oozed with melted cheese. Yum! The hummus was great too. Super fresh and had a fun pepper flare to it! The atmosphere is definitely unique– it’s located inside an office building. The location allows for lots of comfy seating, including huge booths outfitted with big fluffy pillows. Loved that! They also have wine on tap. I mean what’s not to love about that?

Yum, yum and did I say yum? Followed trusty Unilocal reviews to this place which was situated in a trendy modern collaborative work space building. It seems like there was seating multiple areas but the main area was rather small but I loved the décor of the smaller bar area. The bartenders were fun and engaging and told me all about the award winning food they had here. The beer selection was vast and I ultimately selected the braised beef taco special. It came with a fried egg. It was freaking delicious. Since I’m on a gluttunous streak, I was still hungry after that so I ordered french fries which were amazing. The food came out so quickly(granted there weren’t many people there) but even now as I write this, I’m craving it. All around, great service and amazing food. Looking forward to going back soon!

This is a rather odd little place. It’s the first time I’ve ever eaten dinner in a bank lobby. As you go in, there is a stand in front of the restaurant with copies of the menu. As we were looking a very nice guy came out and told us how things work, along with giving us an enthusiastic sales pitch about how we were about to have the best burger of our lives, LOL. The menu was pretty typical for a burger place and also had chicken and BBQ options. I did notice that the prices were pretty high. So we went to the counter and ordered. I got the grilled chicken sandwich with roasted red peppers, beer braised onions, provolone cheese and garlic aioli. My daughter ordered the Dr. Jelly Finger burger. You do have the option to «pile on» additions to your sandwich, but they come at a hefty price. I’ve never seen an upcharge for sliced onion and $.85? Really? I don’t think so. We went out to the lobby to find a table, since there is very little seating in the restaurant. We picked a nice big booth, since there were 5 of us. These booths look great from a distance, they have big fluffy back cushions and privacy sides. They are, however, really uncomfortable. The benches are way too deep for an average person. I have pretty long legs, but if I had put my back against the back of the booth, my legs would have been sticking straight out. Since I have a bad back, I used two of the cushions behind me but could still barely reach the table to eat. By halfway through the dinner, I had to take 4 ibuprofen to quell the back pain. On to the food. My sandwich was okay. It was a nice size portion of grilled chicken that was properly cooked and tender. It was, however, on the greasy side and the toppings were pretty minimal. The tiny cup of cole slaw on the side wasn’t worth eating, and I love cole slaw. I tried one of my daughter’s truffle fries(a whopping $ 7.50 for a fairly small basket) and they were definitely lacking in flavor. She said there were only a few in the basket that had any real truffle flavor. She was also not impressed by the burger, which, by the way, was $ 16 for a 6 oz. burger with none of the pricey extras. The service was not great. It took a while for the food to start coming out. 4 of us got our orders at more or less the same time, while one person had to wait another 5 minutes or so. My daughter was well into her burger before the fries ever showed up. It also took a long time to get the checks taken care of. So, here’s the synopsis. For $ 16, you can get a really good sandwich at a table with service and comfortable seating on a real plate at a large number of other establishments. Would I go here again? No way.

It’s a mixture for me. I came in with some friends after we went to the Master Escape Room to get some dinner. You can order at the counter and you can wait to get it or the servers can bring the food out to you. We chose to sit down and I’m glad we did. Some of our meals took longer than others and it was not busy in there. I think it had a lot to do with it being understaffed. They have a selection of burgers, soups, salads, appetizers, craft beer, wine, sodas, and milkshakes. There is also a check-in offer for a free hummus or tapenade and it worked out to our advantage since all of us ordered on separate checks to try both. I found it to be ok. Nothing too special, but it was a nice complimentary munchie for us to enjoy before our meals came. I settled for the Wisconsin beer cheese soup topped with homemade bacon bits. It had a kick to it and a little salty for my taste buds. I didn’t mind and ate it to the last spoonful. The vanilla milkshake was delicious. Needless to say, I enjoyed the shake more than the soup. Could the place be improved? The service needs an uplift. Even though they were friendly, it doesn’t help that they were understaffed. Our group wasn’t exactly too thrilled over the food. I thought the décor and place has a nice setup. It sucked that it left a sore impression on the food aspect of things. It might be a hit or miss next time, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

I’d seen so many rave reviews for MEAT Eatery down in the Keys, so when I heard they opened up another location in Boca, I made sure to try it. I’ve held out on reviewing them until I got a good sense of the place over the course of several visits. And now, my reaction is… meh. The service is quite friendly, although I haven’t found the food to be great. I will say, on the first visit, I left with a good impression. My one gripe was with the homemade condiments… yeah, it’s cool you do that, but I really don’t like dijon mustard, and that’s the only one they have. The ketchup has a bit of heat to it, with a slight fruity flavor as well. Call me boring, but I really just want my tried-and-true condiments… I will not order the hot dog here because of the mustard situation. So I had a pretty good burger, cooked the way I like it, with thin and crispy onion straws. My mom even liked it enough to suggest we go back. On our second visit, we both tried the Wisconsin beer cheese soup, and really enjoyed it… but our burgers were lackluster. Neither were prepared correctly, and waiting for them to be fixed took a while. They were just okay when they were brought back out, and my mom decided she’d only go back there for that soup. Earlier this week, some friends and I decided to come here after doing the Master Escape Room nearby. I figured they’d been open a while now, long enough to get any kinks worked out. This time around, we used the Unilocal check-in offer for the free hummus or tapenade(since we were all ordering separately, we got to try both). Those were pretty good, although they were served with overly-salted tortilla chips and not crackers as stated on the menu. I chose a burger with the onion straws again, a draft of Barrel of Monks White Wizard, and ordered the beer cheese soup to go since I wanted to have it for lunch the next day at work. The beer was good, but not cold enough for my tastes. The burger was fine… but not anything to really write home about either. No one at our table seemed particularly enthused by their meals. I had the soup the next day, and was sad to see this was just not the same soup I’d had before… mainly because it was just SO salty. The cheese flavor was barely discernible underneath the salt. I don’t know if this is because they topped the soup with bacon in the to-go container… therefore transferring the bacon’s saltiness to the soup upon reheating. If that’s the case, then going forward I’d probably ask for the bacon to be in a little cup on the side, rather than sitting in the soup. In my mind, this is more of a 2.5 star collection of experiences, but the friendly service I’ve had every visit bumps it to three. I am curious enough about their Keys location that I’d probably visit down there, just to see the difference.

M.E.A.T… eccentric little spot in Boca, in fact you’d never guess it was an eatery at all from the outside. I guess that’s part of the appeal, it’s not what it appears. Inside an inconspicuous office building on US1 in Boca there is M.E.A.T. I am familiar with their exceptional meat handling from their win at the Delray Bash last year, the line waiting for the delicious morsels was evidence enough that they were something special. I appreciate«for the love» dining. You can tell that the food, the local beers on tap — it’s really all for the love. Being well known for the burgers, it is nice that thats not all they offer. When visiting I opted for something off the specials menu, which consisted of interesting choices. I chose chorizo tacos, as you can see from the picture, they didn’t necessarily look like much, but boy were they bursting with flavor. There was a green sauce which I couldn’t pin down taste-wise, cilantro, spices — perfect match with the hot chorizo. I absolutely loved my choice, which I paired with a local fruity cider. My guy got a steak sandwich and fries, which he said was cooked to perfection. The vibe inside is casual, with the presence of locals there to chill and have a brew. My mind was still trying to get around looking out from the bar and seeing offices and grey cubicles, in the same respect I found it endearing, almost like I was inconspicuously tucked away in this hidden hole-in-the-wall which the masses are oblivious to. To round up my experience, I’ll most certainly be back, keep being Boca’s best kept secret!

I will never be accused of being a vegetarian! Therefore, if there’s a restaurant called for MEAT known for it’s burgers I will be checking it out. Located in the atrium of an office building in Boca, I heard about MEAT at a Burger Beast event I attended earlier this year. That it was less than 5 minutes from one of my job sites, and I could spritz on some Axe, get semi-civilized and have a good dinner. I ate at the bar, where the cashier was friendly and funny. Her and one of the other bartenders checked on me during my meal, which you know is important to me! No lunch for me that day, so I started off with their tomato soup. Creamy and with a sprinkle of powdered cheese over the top, it packed a little bit of heat and was a great intro into my meal. The original burger — aka Dr. Jelly — was a juicy, meaty patty dressed up with the noticeable sweet of blueberry and heat of chipotle jellies. The fried egg and skinny fries over the top added to the delicious mess. In my OCD ways, I had the fries first without touching the burger and the chipotle ketchup gave it a spicy kick. They also have a pretty good selection of beer, and a couple other burgers I want to check out. As I mentioned, the vibe is casual enough that I could walk in unless I was bathed in concrete, and the early aughts/late 90’s soundtrack made it a great spot to wind down at.

So the bar has the feel of a 1950s diner mixed with a 2015 craft taproom. Hard to explain, just need to experience it yourself. They have over a dozen craft brews on tap, along with bottled and canned beer. They also have some decent wines and micro brew sodas. There is a good selection of burgers on the menu. The Inside Out Juicy Lucy Burger was very tasty and accompanied with truffle parmesan fries. Another good choice is the Carolina pulled pork sandwich with duck fat fries. Definitely will come back to try other menu choices, both food & liquid.

When Jennifer S. suggested we grab some dinner here after grabbing a few beers near by, I was in. It didn’t hurt that yelling MEATTTT was pretty funny after a few beers, which only added to me being in. Luckily Jenn had been here before and was able to give me some directions and pointers, because this is a strange location. Located in the lobby of a Wells Fargo building, the location doesn’t really scream dinner(or food at all), but Jenn assured me it wasn’t a lunch only spot and it would suit our dinner needs. Park around back for the most convenient entrance. After walking in and seeing the place I still was pretty shocked. It definitely seems odd for a place with this ambiance to be located within a building’s lobby, but I went with it. I have to admit that the counter seating worked out pretty well once the rest of the gang arrived, and we all started to fall in love with it’s charm. At this point we had all pretty much quit drinking, but I was pretty impressed with their extensive beer list, as well as their wines. We spent some time looking over the menu and the specials list. I was also impressed with the wide variety of menu options. Lots of burgers which I was expecting, but also some great sounding soups and salads, and even lobster. The service here is what I’ll call«half and half». Orders are placed at the counter, and paid at the counter, but drinks and food are brought out to you. Also, everything is done by a card system, so remember which card you had when you want to pay as that’s how they’ll look you up in the system. I was the 5 of Spades, clearly I’m more of a Queen of Diamonds girl lol, but the dealer wasn’t on my side. I went with the Italian Sausage Burger with fries, which came with peppers and onions on it. One of the other burgers had a lime/cilantro aioli on it, so I asked for that with my burger. This came out on the side, which I ended up being thankful for, because I didn’t like it! Who knew there was an aioli I didn’t like! Mustard, ketchup and regular mayo were also brought out to the table and it turns out they make their own mustard and ketchup in house. I can’t remember what the mustard was(nor did I try it) but I’m pretty sure the ketchup was a mango-something and it was a hit. Especially when mixed in with regular mayo(yes I’m a mayo girl lol). Ok, so the actual food. I totally forgot to mention I started off with the olive tapenade and crackers to start(free with Unilocal check in!). This was so-so. A little salty and the crackers were a little strange to me. I did try Jenn’s hummus though and this was pretty good. The burger itself was pretty damn good! Very spicy though and I left wondering if I actually had the chorizo burger accidentally. Another in the party was accidentally given the wrong burger, so this is entirely possible. I do wish I had room left for a bread pudding. The banana, nutella option sounded like heaven, but I just couldn’t do it — I was stuffed. Looks like I need to come back! Towards the end of the dinner I was hovering somewhere between 3 and 4 stars, but I’m rounding up to 4 for the«service». The owner(?) came over at the end and started talking to us, and you could tell how passionate she was about the business and it’s success. She seemed to welcome all of our comments and take them to the heart. PS. I hope Marisol got some good shots of Glenn trying to fit his enormous burger in his mouth!
