My husband and I are absolutely thrilled with this store. We furnished our master bedroom including mattress, living room, and den from Havertys and could not be any happier. Our super salesman, Alan Cooper, and Marisel, a design consultant, listened to what we wanted and directed us through the store to all possibilities that might meet our expectations. They are amazingly personable and patient, helping us see every possible color and arrangement. John, the manager, also was helpful, even ordering a swatch of one of our leather chairs for me and helping all of us, as a team to complete our order. Havertys feels like a second ‘home’ to us thanks to the wonderful feeling you get working with these delightful people and having so much quality furniture from which to choose. It is definitely our ‘place’

BEWAREOFTHEIRDININGCHAIRS! We purchased four dining room chairs there that were on sale for$ 100 each. After two years of just seasonal use, they fell apart. Literally, the fabric disintegrated. We called customer service and they said the warranty was up(1 year) clearly this furniture was defective. Yes, we only spent $ 400 on chairs, but you should not have to throw them in the garbage after two years. Customer service should have given us some kind of store credit. We spent a ton of money there and now we are left with bad feelings and wouldn’t recommend their company or want to buy from them again.

I purchased a sectional sofa from here recently and I’m not sure if I regret it as of yet. I have had 2 defects with it and they assembled it wrong when it was delivered. In their defense, they did send people out each time to take care of these issues but it makes me question the quality of what I just purchased. The salesperson was very nice, she seemed to be interested in making sure that we got what we needed taken care of. What I really had an issue with was the fact that when I made the purchase, they charged a credit card of mine for a deposit. No issue there, until I decided that I wanted to change the order and they decided to refund my card for the deposit and run it again for a new deposit amount on the new«changed» order. Well as you can imagine, both charges went through and I was assured the refund would be credited within 2 – 3 days. Three WEEKS later I had to make a couple phone calls and send a nasty email or two. It took 25 days to get the credit put back on the card. One day longer and I would have just filed a dispute with the credit card company. I was told it was due to the«holidays»… right… I was born yesterday. I really doubt after that experience I will return for more purchases. I’ll have to see how the furniture holds up, after reading the first post I’m very worried that I made a costly mistake.

I recently needed to buy furniture and took a chance with this store. Bought an entertainment center, office desk and file cabinet. Big mistake, everything came with problems. The drawers don’t work properly and the file cabinet doesn’t hold the files, the bars collapse and all the folders fall down. So I called them and they sent a tech to fix it. It took them over five weeks till they got him out. So he tells me that nothing can be fixed — manufactures defect. The file cabinet bars — that hold up the files — keep twisting and everything falls down, can’t be replaced. In the shop they gave me a major run around. I paid so much money and they will only give me a store credit saying that I have the furniture for so long. Now I’m paying more money for furniture I’m not happy with but at least it works. The poor salesman was so nice, but couldn’t do anything to help me. And while I was there there was another woman in the shop also having problems.
