Decent selection of foods both packaged and prepared. But, the bleachy smell in the entrance is a turn off.

Has many unique items you won’t find elsewhere. Excellent selection in meat, deli(sauteed spinach and asparagus), and bakery — a large selection of pastries. Interesting ice cream, leaning toward Italian ices(contained in the skin of an orange, for example). Can be crowded. Prices of produce are good, other things can be more expensive, but the quality is good.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to come across a batch of Doris’ amazing butter cookies at one of our DJ gigs. I can’t stress enough how deliciously sweet and, well, buttery they were! We were not aware of Doris prior to this, but after our cookie experience, we can’t wait to visit the Boca location! We’re sure to become lifetime customers.

I have been to Doris’s Italian Market in other locations. I am being generous with 3 stars because in ALL their stores, they have incredible meats, cheeses and seafood, and a lot of variety. It is a great place to go if you are entertaining and want to pick up appetizers to accompany your meal, which is what I did here, or a great place to pre order a whole meal or have it catered. Why then, for his store, only 3 stars? As I navigated around THIS Doris’s store, I found it quite inconvenient being able to find their shelf stable items and they definitely do not have the variety I have seen in other Doris’s Markets. I was looking for dips to serve for appetizers and could not find anything around. I asked what appeared to be the store manager and he told me to go to the refrigerated case in the back of the store, and I would find some Vegetable Dips. Well, I found their homemade soups, but no vegetable dips. I asked a clerk there and they pointed to an Isle that had nothing but sauces. I must have spent 30 minutes looking for these, until I realized all they had was Fish Dips near the seafood isle. How could nobody there know that? It’s not even a big store. And a store manager? Wow!!! Notice how I never mentioned my favorite: the WINES. This is an Italian Market and compared to the rest of their stores, their wine selections were on 2 – 2 back to back shelving units with limited choices. One of my friends recommended a Pinot Noir she picked up in the Sunrise Store, and how many wines they had with great prices. Not here. I understand that all stores of any«chain» do not always get the same allocations of a single wine, or they run out, but there was nothing here and nothing to compare. This store was busy, being that is was Thanksgiving Eve, but I found it to be very unorganized and the help was really clueless. I guess I learned, that if I am in Boca, to try their competition off Military Trail. Should of used my first instinct. On a positive finish, the cashier was really sweet, quick and as I walked out, so many of the workers wished me a Happy Thanksgiving as left. It was!!!

Stopped in here for the first time, was the start of season in Boca so it was full of BB’s and Retirees, attempted to stroll around but just skipped some of the aisles, kept having people cut right in front of me or bop into me with no apologies or when looking at the bakery case, a few thought I was jumping in front of them and got real obnoxious. I was asked if I needed help after a few minutes, decided to get a Rum Cake for a special occasion, I had Doris’s Rum Cakes from their other location down in Broward and it was pretty good, so I thought I would get one. I did see the rudeness others have mentioned here, if not the clientele, it was the staff, many did indeed look very miserable and like they didn’t want to be there, no smiles and not very friendly. Well to give them a break, if I had to deal with people in Boca on a daily basic, especially during season, I would be the same without a couple of Xanax. Anyways after trying the Italian Rum Cake later that evening, I was very disappointed, it tasted nothing like the one I had from the location in Broward, had no rum flavor at all, not even a faint flavor. I served it to my guests and they said«not bad» but I knew seeing they were experienced foodies, that it wasn’t up to par. So needless to say I was disappointed and this was a $ 16 cake, smallest they had to choose from. Not sure if I’ll stop in again or not, the bakery was well stocked, as was everything else in the store. Just was turned off by the vibe and rudeness and of course the lack of flavor in the Rum Cake

Good food and meat selection however this stores selection as well as appearance does not come close to their other stores around south Florida.

One stop shop for Italian goods, meals, meats and sweets… I was very excited by all the options for prepared food in the deli case and had to prevent myself from buying a little of everything. Vast assortment of baked goods and sweets that made me feel like a kid in a candy store. Many good food finds across the dry food shelfs and a bright assortment of vegetables and fruits. Wonderful little market bakery deli!

I love Doris, I have being shopping there for over 10 years now and they have being always very nice and the quality of their food is just top of the line, their stuff are very nice and the place is very clean as usual. Very happy with their customer service. I have order from the catering services and couldn’t be happier, service was on point. My company always order from them every year now from our gatherings. I highly recommend Doris in Boca from a customer that has being there not only for one day but for over 10 years! :)

Highly recommend this place! Hosted a huge party yesterday and purchased everything from them. Received so many compliments from our guests from the bakery items to the burgers. Personal favorites were the cannolis and the skirt steak. My only disappointment is that we didn’t have any leftovers– but I guess that’s a good problem to have!

Rude cashier and the place smelled terrible. While I was waiting in line with only four items to check out, a worker from the nearby Nailize salon came up to the register with one item and the cashier just stuck her arm out and was like, «It’s fine, it’s fine. You only have one thing.» So even though I had already been waiting, I had to wait longer while this other person checked out, out of the blue. Ridiculously rude. Second, you get whalopped with the smell of decaying fish as soon as you walk in. Similar to Murray S.‘s review, I would suggest the place get a thorough cleaning or perhaps investigate the levels at which the coolers are set. Disappointing because the place looks cute and clean from the outside. In the past, I have sang Doris’s praises on Instagram but not after this most recent encounter. Each customer is worthy of his/her time.

I have never been to Doris before. I wanted to bring a meal to my friend’s house who lost her husband. Anthony couldn’t have been ruder. Told me he doesn’t make turkey gravy and would raise his voice ever time I asked a question. He said my order was too small and they can’t do it. I called the coral springs store and they couldn’t have been nicer. They told me of course they make gravy and said no order is too small. DON’t go to Boca raton store. Extremely rude

Been shopping at Doris’s a couple years at the Sunrise location. Would give Sunrise a 5 star BUT Boca is a different story. People rude behind meat counter. There rotating of product is fail at best meaning they have old and outdated product on their shelves. I like Doris’s but not the one in Boca, go the extra mile and go to other locations.

This is the best group of Italian Bakeries in South Florida! You cannot go wrong here. Everything is delicious and not outrageously priced. Their dessert selection is to die for and the prepared foods section has everything you can think of. Get the bruschetta is amazing!!! Produce is cheap, fresh, and you can tell the difference in taste compared to publix.

I don’t find Doris Market as wonderful as the other reviewers. Their prepared foods are so-o-o oversalted! I’ve tried the rice balls, chicken Parm, and fish cakes. Not the best. Other departments are hit or miss. Zuccini on sale were as big as baseball bats, tomatoes were mealy. Fish is also iffy. They always have their sale items, which is a good thing, but the quality is often lacking.

Delizioso!!! What a wonderful little find while waiting at the doctor’s office, I decided to walk to this Italian market. This market is right off of Yamato road and lake ridge. It is not very big in size but compact with different items. I first went to quickly get tomatoes but then discovered some Italian must haves. They have so many different kinds of pasta brands and types. Their dessert pastries and cakes will make your mouth water. They have fresh flower banquets, yes, I know most grocery stores have flowers but many do not have sunflowers but Doris had them. I would have liked to see more produce variety, however, they do have a decent size selection of it. Overall, this is the perfect neighborhood Italian version of a grocery store. It left a lasting impression and I can’t wait to go back to try some cakes from them. ~

I love this Italian market. The bakery is awesome. They make the best cannolis you will find in Florida and their rugelach is just as good as any Jewish Bakery, if not better. My boyfriend loves their cookies which I think are very good too. The deli just can’t be beat. They have assorted salads, cheeses and cold cuts. They will make any kind of sandwich or sub for you and customize it any way you like. My favorite is the chicken salad. All their salads and prepared foods are homemade using fresh quality ingredients. The sub rolls are baked fresh everyday in their bakery. They do take phone orders, so if your in a rush just call it in & it will be ready for you. My boyfriend is a fan of their potato salad & I love their colelaw. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of their salads. Everything is made fresh and they are all great. They also do catering. The deli also serves prepared dishes that are made fresh throughout the day. The eggplant parmesan is to die for. In my opinion it is better than what most restaurants serve. Chicken parmesan, lasagna, broiled chicken, grilled pork chops, penne alla vodka, sausage & peppers, eggplant rolatini, meatballs & chicken meatballs are just some of the dishes they offer. All items are served by the pound. I find their prices to be extremely reasonable considering everything is homemade. Now the produce department is hit or miss. Most of the time I do really well & have left with delicious sweet berries and juicy watermelon. They also have a seafood department as well as a meat department with several butchers working the counter. An added plus is that they do have a few grocery isles to pick up random items. I am sure you would be able to find whatever you needed without having to make an extra stop at Publix. Parking is easy, the market is clean & they even sell flowers. How can you go wrong?
