D’Best Sandwich Shop

I placed a delivery order through grubhub and ordered 2 cheesesteaks with american cheese. While the food was delivered in about ½ the time they said it was, it was awful. The roll wasn’t even filled with steak and the cheese was just placed on the bread instead of being warmed up and melted. It was terrible and I will never order anything from here again. I don’t normally write reviews but this experience was so bad that I had to vent my frustration somewhere.

They claim to have the best Steak sandwich south of Philadelphia. They made the wrong claim. I’m on a search for a really good Steak sandwich and it’s almost impossible in South Florida. Their bread is like Subway’s bread all dough. The bread has to be great with what’s called crust. Do not waste a trip if your looking for a good Steak sandwich you will be very disappointed. It’s all about the bread !!!

I was on my way to the beach and knew I wanted to get a sandwich to bring with me. I kind of figured I would end up at Publix, but driving up Dixie I spotted D’Best Sandwich Shop and made a quick U turn. I knew I had it bookmarked, and honestly I’m just hating Publix subs lately. The parking lot is small, but the shop itself isn’t all that big either. There is a covered patio area with some seating outside, inside it is definitely more of a grab an go atmosphere.
Posted on the wall was a menu of their specialty sandwiches, both cold and hot, as well as salads. They are also happy to let you make changes or customize and build your own sandwich. I was greeted promptly and ordered a small cheese sub on white, choosing American cheese. I was pleased to see that they keep vegetarian in mind with a hot veggie melt on the menu as well, but I didn’t want to bring a hot sandwich to the beach. The man making my sandwich was great asking details about how much mayo I wanted and making sure I didn’t want any of the deli meats. I added lettuce, tomato, pickles, and a little bit of onion to my sandwich as we proceeded down the line. They were so friendly here making conversation along the way and within a few minutes my sandwich was wrapped up and I headed to the register. On the way I grabbed a bag of Dirty brand salt and vinegar chips.
The woman who rang me up at the register was just as friendly and the sandwich and the chips came to just under $ 10. I really enjoyed the sandwich when I got to the beach. The bread was fresh, the veggies were fresh, and the amount of mayo was satisfactory. I had grabbed a few napkins as I was leaving and noticed that they offer packets of condiments as well, so if you’re traveling with your sandwich and want to leave it dry until you eat it that is an option too. The small here is 8 inches, so the sandwich is a decent size. Because I didn’t get any meat I could have probably bulked it up with a few more veggies since they have peppers and cucumbers and such, but I thought it was delicious just the way it was.
While I walked in and placed my order at the counter, overhearing the other employees it seems they do quite a few call in take out orders, which may save you some time if you’re going with one of the hot sandwiches, which seemed popular.

Not only were the sandwiches very good, but their service was amazing. We showed up with 18 hungry soccer players and 3 very hungry coaches and not only did they get through our orders very efficiently, the girls loved the food!!!

Sub was good. Was nice to get real turkey. But the real reason for my 5 stars is the woman on the phone new I was having a bad day without saying a word. In my order was a little bag of delicious free cookies. Those are the types of people I want to give my money to!!!

We had a fully completed punch card (that had been in my purse) and the new owner would not honor the terms on the card. He implied that we had counterfeited their punch card and he would not honor the free sandwich. His approach was rude and accusatory.

Amazing food and service. The owner was incredibly generous and friendly. The sandwiches were very tasty and I recommend D’Pilgrim.

What a hideaway if you don’t know it there you would drive right by. Great fresh salads, soups and the best subs

We both had fresh turkey subs here — if you want subway style food go elsewhere. This is good stuff and it’s fast and you can see everything being prepared right in front of you by a family. We are happy to support this business whenever we can — I’m on my way to work I will do my best to swing by and grab whatever they have to offer-​good old-​fashioned shop!

D’Best mediocre sandwich you can find is more like it. For the price you’d expect a lot more meat. I’ll stick with pickle barrel on Hillsboro.

You hope for the best, especially when you have heard its the best. D’best comes with high praise from every hill and dale in Boca. And yet I was left wanting,
Biggest problem is we get the subs back to the office the first time we had ordered and they forgot to put the fixings on both subs?
I didn’t think much of the fixings the second visit either.
It’s not a bad place, just over rated I think
and this is after I started the review from the first visit where it was at 2 star.
Where to go? V&S. That’s «The Best»

Best Philly Cheesesteak I have ever had! They make it with cheese whiz! So freaking good and I can’t find it anywhere else!

GREAT FOOD! Cheese steaks are awesome even there pulled Turkey is slow roasted… Most of all there employees are welcoming and kind people! The owner is very sweet and friendly.
Felt very welcomed everytime I walk in.

Legit subs!
If you want something hot, get a cheesesteak whiz wit (that’s Philly for with cheez whiz and onions).
For a cold sub, D’Bomb is killer w/​house cooked roast beef, pulled turkey, slaw, Russian and Swiss.
I doubt you can go wrong at this joint.

My co-​worker and I went for lunch today, I had a hankering for a sub. We walked in and were greeted immediately. We had to wait a bit as the place was pretty busy.
I ordered an 8 inch turkey on white with all the fixings. It was delicious. They don’t use sliced turkey breast, but rather, home cooked turkey pieces (off the frame if you will). It was moist and seasoned, very tasty indeed. It was also priced under $ 10.
We sat outside and enjoyed our 75 degree temperatures, it was a lovely experience.

Last year I worked for a crazy guy but he sure knew where to take the crew out for lunch. More often then not we would end up making sandwich runs to D’Best.
So worth the traffic and the gas. The Turkey, Stuffing, Cranberry sub is my favorite. Doesn’t matter what time of year it is amazing.
Highly recommend it.

There are times when I want to have a sub sandwich. And then there are times when I want to go to D best to get the best sub. Today is no different I didn’t want to eat fast food so I ended up going to D best.
Now here is what makes this sub shop the best sub shop. First of all the service is excellent. They always greet you as if you’ve been there a hundred times. The bread is very soft and very fresh. The selections are very creative. They have hot and cold subs. On this days I got the Godfather sub. It seems that I always get the Godfather sub. There’s something about Italian meats and provolone cheese that just makes my taste buds bounce around. I love pickles and then I’ll have salt pepper oil and vinegar and some sweet jalapenos .
I have the choice of either sitting inside or sitting outside. Today was a great day so I chose sitting outside. They have 3 different sizes of the subs. today I got the large which was a little too much I’ll make a note of that for the future. I highly recommend this place. You will not eat at another sub shop after you’ve eaten at Capital D apostrophe Best.

This location has indoor and outdoor seating. The exterior makes you question whether to stop here or not. I urge you to stop. I did a search for an inexpensive place to eat with good reviews and came here.
You order on the right side when you walk in and end up towards the back to pay. They offer cold subs, hot subs, salads and soups. For dessert they have cookies and brownies. It’s decently priced. The subs are about $ 6-​$ 8 range. The small is actually not small at all. It’s almost like a foot long. Which was rewarding for the price of $ 6.55. That price does not include a drink and chips. A Gatorade here is about $ 1.50. Very consistent pricing.
For hot subs, make sure to tell them everything you want from the beginning because once it’s on the grill it’s tedious for them to have to add ingredients.
What I ordered: a veggie melt. It came with everything without me even having to ask it’s like they knew me! On the other hand, if you’re a picky eater make sure to tell them what to exclude. My sub was spicy and I loved it! The right temperature, right off the grill… Amazing! Best veggie sub I’ve had in a while.
Other people in my party had cold subs and didn’t like that as much. So I think it was voted at my table that hot subs is the way to go!
The staff is efficient and quick about getting you in and out. Which is great if you’re on the run. There are large tables outside if you want to bring the whole family. I came on a Monday around 4:00 p.m. And it was pretty empty to take advantage of that time frame if possible.
They have their own parking lot, so free parking. No Hassle.
