This is our go-to restaurant for authentic Italian food in Boca Raton! We’ve been coming here for years… surprised I haven’t done a review before! We went for dinner on Valentine’s Day, probably not the smartest day to dine out as it was packed. Just a short wait for a table. It’s always nice to be greeted by Vito and one of the servers(sorry, can’t remember his name!) The food was outstanding as always; initially my chicken parm came out with dark brown cheese on top, which they quickly corrected. The pasta is always done to a perfect al dente. See you again soon!

If you know anything about the Italians from New York in SoFlo, you know about the de angelos, Dominic’s, stalones, de lucas; the crazies by the beach & fort lauderdale. It took Danny DaVito to bring Italians to Miami and Prime Italian blossomed. These people are crazy and compete on price and quality. Think Sicilins and the pizza connection. «Son of the Mob.» The Italian cuisine is incredible throughout the greater Boca Raton area.

I always order Italian from them. I have tried other Italian restaurants around the area and They have the best flavor for the price. My husband loves their chicken parmigiana. The spaghetti meatballs are excellent. Dinning in ok but is a small place with no much privacy.

Longest wait for mediocre food. Very bland, and not worth the wait. The odor from the bathrooms permeates the dining room. So on top of the smell of garlic knots, you get a whiff of bathroom.

This was a pleasant surprise for dinner! We are new to the area so we have tried to go to a new place each time we go out to eat. This place exceeded all of our expectations. I had the chicken parmigiana and my wife and kids shared a large pizza. All of it was great! We will be returning. Thank you!

The food here is very, very good. The staff are sweet and accommodating. They cut up my sons pizza slice into manageable bite sized pieces & cut his lemonade with water for me without me even having to ask. They were also careful about temperature and made sure that the pizza slice was warm but wouldn’t be hot for my son — a consideration other restaurants never make even when asked. Loved it here

I have to disagree with prior review giving pricing a D grade. the specials are truly special here, they are creative, delicious, and use the best ingredients. there is no D quality shrimp or snapper. these meals are grade A!!! the stuffed artichoke is BETTER than ones that I have had on Arthur avenue in DA bRONX. also– large parties welcome. there are tables to accommodate 15!!! the service is good and you’ll always get a warm farewell by the BOSS and a thank you!!! really great Italian for a local/neighborhood joint!!!

The food is great, I often wonder why this place is not constantly packed. The Bolognese is to die for! I order it almost all the time because I just can’t believe how good it tastes and how home made and delicious it is. Reminds me of my mothers home cooking Absolutely delicious! And the best part is the prices are right. Would recommend to anyone

Been to plenty italian places in sofl and can confirm that this place does many plates a great service. The ricotta cheese used at Da Vitos is the best I’ve had and the tomato sauce is top notch. The eggplant rolatini is by far the best I’ve had and the meatballs are delicious. If you decide to come here, I highly suggest getting any plate that has ricotta and/or tomato sauce. The service is great and the owner is very friendly and personable. After one of my trips here, I had asked for some extra tomato sauce for our leftovers, and was surpised to find that I was given two pints of it! Da Vitos is definitely for the customers. I give this place 5 stars as it carved out a great niche among some of my most liked italian restaurants. That niche being for the best tomato sauce and ricotta in sofl!

A nice Italian restaurant for your standard Italian fare. My most recent visit was with my family on a Friday evening, to which the place had plenty of people in it without us having to wait. It’s a small place, but not too small. Main dining area and bar area, that’s it; and no booths, all tables. The atmosphere is a nice, classic Italian look, with a constant loop of a Frank Sinantra and the Rat Pack CD on in the background. I was never quite sure who our actual server was, as we had 5 different people serving us at any given point. Not sure if that was a good or bad thing. One guy came over and got us water, another took our order, another brought out the food, and another brought us the check; a bit confusing. For food, portion sizes are fair, but not very huge. The Chicken Francese for instance comes with two moderately sized slices of chicken, and the pastas with chicken in them come with a few bites of chicken. Bottom line with portions, is that they could be a bit larger. The Chicken Francese is good, but nothing that blows me away; same goes with many other of their dishes. The angel hair pasta that came as a side was pretty flavorless, bland, and stuck together. The main meals also come with a side salad or a soup. Not many salad dressings to choose from, just ranch, blue cheese and their house vinaigrette. In addition, one of our waiters brought out garlic rolls, which were totally covered in garlic. I would say they were good garlic rolls, but again not the best I’ve had. The Penne Alla Gorgonzola is also a nice dish with a thick sauce, however again they do not give you enough chicken, and the pasta is a bit too al dente. Ultimately, the pasta doesn’t really have any flavor at all is ends up being filler. When I think of Italian food, I think of huge portions, and flavorful pasta. I think Davitos falls a bit short in these areas. Prices here are in line with most other Italian restaurants in Boca Raton, which is to say they are too high. If they shaved a few dollars off their dishes, I’d be here much more, but because they won’t this will just be another Italian restaurant in the rotation of many. Davitos is pretty middle of the road in terms of Italian food. It’s good, but not great, and the prices just make me like it even less. If you’re just looking for your classic Italian fare, Davitos is a decent choice. Food(B-), Pricing(D), Atmosphere(B), Service(B)

Delivery arrived with a pubic hair on/in the pasta(including a pic). Actually placed the order directly through the owner Vito. Explained what happened with pasta, reason given directly by the owner«manufacturer defect, didn’t come from us». I really don’t believe this was an isolated incident, just from the owners responses and actions on the issue alone. They don’t care, it’s not hard to see. It’s a filthy business starting at the top. Seriously, check your food if you do decide to eat here.

Was back here with my homeboys last night and happy to note that all our meals were amazing! The Penne Chicken with Gorgonzola was amazing as was the Fettucini Alfredo with chicken, Zak luved his Eggplant with Veal. The portions were very decent and this is the first time I ever saw Shawn leave some food on his plate! Francesca our server was delightful! Dave and Vito keep up the good work! We shall be back!

I went for lunch a few weeks ago. I had the spaghetti primavera. It was delicious. The spaghetti was perfectly cooked. The sauce was very good. My friend had the chicken piccata, and he enjoyed it. The garlic rolls that were served with our food were hot out of the oven. The prices were reasonable. I was surprised that another reviewer wrote that this place was dirty. I didn’t see that. The tables were neatly set, no dirty dishes. Everything looked fine. The restaurant was attractive and inviting. Our server was friendly and efficient. Maybe any past problems with the facility or the staff have been taken care of.

I think the first review posted here must be from a competitor or something. I went in here because it’s near my barber, and I thought I would give it a try. The place is clean top to bottom. The menu has some original items on it, including several very inventive pizza offerings. I tried the Grandma/Grandpa slice combo for lunch. Quite good. The service staff was pleasant, courteous and attentive. The biggest problem this place has is its location. It’s tucked on the side of a strip mall away from what has been food in the past, unless you consider the scary Chinese take out over there food. There is also a pizza joint on the North end of the same mall. That one is good. This one is better. Worth giving it a try!
