One of the only places that make Opera Cake!!! So frickin good! Their sandwiches are great today I had the Merguez sandwich and it was delicious the French bread is baked fresh and better than all the imitation stuff out there claiming to be French bread! Their Saucisson Sandwich is by far my favorite sandwich and they run out regularly because it’s so popular!!!

I don’t know how or why I never posted a review here, since I’ve been coming for years. I wouldn’t say I’m a regular like Adriana, but surely every month or so. You can review three basic offerings of theirs: breakfasts, sandwiches, or their cakes and pastries and French baguettes. As to breakfasts, which everyone raves about, I’m not so impressed. The baguettes, which are baked on site, are incredibly tasty and authentic, as are the croissants. The eggs, in their various varieties, are just ok. Don’t go crazy people over a small serving of scrambled eggs. Please. Their coffee is spot on, even if Alberto was less than enthusiastic about it. What always impressed me about Cote France were their sandwiches. They are tasty, overstuffed, and simply put, damn good. See pics. For a small up charge order a larger size, take half home if you can’t finish it. Some people have complained about attitude of staff, I find it highly variable. Some waitstaff are attentive and responsive, some get lost in the shuffle, others seem like they need a lot more espresso to get motivated. Some seem like they find a smile too challenging, others are pleasant but not overly so. My sense of this place is if you’re a regular regular you are acknowledged warmly and if an irregular regular, less so. The pastries and cakes are authentic and fierce. Stand in front of the display case and stare like a child. I’ve often stopped by here to buy them to bring to people’s homes or to my own, and try to control myself not to stop by as I’m often in the area, this bring 5 minutes from home, and it’s quite easy to become more of a blimp-like guy when you can overdose on their baked goods. Drawbacks: people sometimes smoke outside. In season, too many rude testy patrons at breakfast, but management can’t do much about that. Parking in the area can be a challenge.

Tom was very pleasant and sold us on buying more treats then expected thankfully! I came for the Napoleon but they were sold out. Great customer service and 4 out of 5 desserts means we will be back.

Came her for the first time about two years ago. I remember getting a desert and coffee but I never came back because they weren’t friendly. I was invited to go with friends over the past couple years but I remember not feeling welcome so I always suggested something else. Then I gave it another try with my friend Adriana since she eats here often and always seems to have good things to say so I figured maybe they’ve changed. We met for breakfast and I was surprised how they were, like really super nice. I told my friend what happen the last time I was here and she told me these are new owners. Glad to have learned that. We just came from working out and we were so hungry and ready to eat and it was so nice out we decided to sit outside. My friend ordered for me since she is always coming here and knows what things I would like. I started off with some coffee and a Danish that we shared. Then we had scramble eggs with turkey with a toasted baguette. This was such a simple breakfast but it was so good. The jam they serve has tons of fruit inside, you can literally see the big pieces of it. They even kept asking us if we wanted more coffee and if everyone was good and they remained super friendly. We didn’t want to leave sitting outside since it was so peaceful and beautiful with flowers all around. You can even bring you dog and enjoy your breakfast with them at the outside tables as well. Since that visit with my friend I have been back a few times and have tried some other dish. Let me leave you with this, the desserts breads and pastries are so good but you must try their quiche. Simply amazing.

I have heard a lot of great things about Cote France Café & Bakery and had it bookmarked for a while now. It’s located not too far from Mizner Park on the East side of Federal. It was my best friends birthday and I was making him dinner but I didn’t want to attempt dessert for two reasons. One dessert isn’t really my thing when it comes to cooking and two I knew they would do a much better job than I would have. Plus I needed to save myself some time to make dinner lol. I arrived and the place is right on the corner. It has indoor and outdoor seating(in the shade) and it’s super cute. I went inside and there was a lot to choose from but I decided to go with these chocolate mouse cakes that resembled tiramisu(but that’s Italian). It had layers of chocolate mouse and vanilla cake and pudding and it was topped with a small decorated piece of chocolate. It was a big hit for me and the birthday boy. I definitely would love to come back and try more desserts and they also have a full menu so I will be back for sure.

This place genuinely is a nice little hidden away treasure of french culinary delight. Their desserts, especially their crème brûlée, fruit tart, and saint tropez are amazing. My only critique, I order for my office as a group quite often(very affordable), they run out of certain dessert options. No worries though, I usually just ask them to pick an assortment and we haven’t gone wrong yet :) Breakfast foods are particularly great from them. Literally everything we’ve tried has been perfection. I highly recommend the quiche and their bechamel(insert thumbs up).

Second visit this week. Same complaint both times. Food is good. Great pastry BUT omg the worst system for service and servers are cold and clueless. Maybe owners should spend some time and train them as well as sort out the slow and confusing way of seating and paying. It took me longer to get my bill than it did to get my food and eat it. I will go back for take out where I can pay cashier and leave but will NEVER sit and eat there again until they figure out the table service mess.

Good food and pleasant atmosphere with outside sitting. Today the young man who served me was loud, rude and slow. Don’t you hate it when the next table who arrives after you gets the load down on what is available! Your choice would have been so different if you had known. Be careful where you sit, it makes all the difference.

The food was good, but the service was terrible. Not only did our order of breakfast sandwiches and soup take over 45 minutes to get to our table on a monday early afternoon, but they consistently messed up every single part of our order. They messed up our drinks, they messed up our food, and they even brought us out things that we never ordered!

Cute, cozy spot in central Boca. I came here for breakfast and enjoyed sitting out on the patio in the beautiful weather. I ordered the ham, egg, and cheese sandwich on croissant which was superb with tea, which was also great. The croissant itself was amazing. The waiter was friendly and quick with majority of service, but could have been more attentive. I had to wait almost 15 minutes for my bill to arrive and be processed for payment. Overall, great little spot though!

Phenomenal baguette sandwiches, pastries, desserts. I’ve been going to this bakery for a while now, and although I’m English(the English tend to dislike the French), the atmosphere is wonderfully European – a traditional French ensemble. Great for pickups or sit-downs, inside and outside seating available.

Ugh. Really hoped for a good coffee and croissant and was lured in by the great reviews. Convinced now those reviews were faked. Coffee was fair but adequate. The croissants were poor… One step above grocery store pillsbury. The baguette was a joke. Also had the bland spinach quiche and super salty mushroom soup. What a waste of $ 40! And to make it worse never received the water we asked for 3x! Now we have to go find a second breakfast. Avoid this pale imitation of a French bakery!

I just cannot believe I haven’t written anything about this Boca jem! This is my to go place when I need a good breakfast! Their relaxing atmosphere combined by their good service and most and foremost their delicious food are a few of the reasons it’s a no brainer to me to come here. They are located at the heart of the Royal Palm area in east Boca, and they have inside and outside tables. I always sit outside to enjoy the weather, the nice view and the little birds that are always looking for food. I love simple breakfasts, eggs, toasted baguette and a strong coffee. It has the power to make me the happiest girl in town! And considering they have a great selection of desserts to choose from if you feel like sweetening your teeth… Their pastries, macaroons, pies, cakes… You can never go wrong if you need a dessert to impress your friends! I always buy their mousses to bring to dinners and parties and everybody loves them! Their great selection of sandwiches, salads and quiches also gives you more options to choose! If you are around that area stop by for a coffee, champagne or just a Orangina! You will not regret it!

Underwhelming French«bakery»… I really wouldn’t believe this place is truly French just because it’s in the name. I visited here at the request of a friend, and I would not bother coming back. I bought a chocolate croissant, a hazelnut cake, and a mini fruit tart. The hazelnut cake was quite tasty, but nothing notably special. The fruit tart was bland. The tart was rock solid and tasted doughy, fruit was tasteless, and the thick syrup felt like swallowing tar. Ordered a chocolate croissant, which my friend’s child wouldn’t even finish… The croissant was oily and flat, not buttery or flakey. If over-paying for bland pastries are your thing, then this is the bougie bakery for you. I had a taste of the mushroom soup, a terrifyingly grey-colored slop served luke warm in a cup. The consistency was less smooth and more bland than baby food. The one redeeming food from my order was a hot sandwich, which was made to order. The Addison sandwich has Chicken, Mozzarella, Tomato, Olives, Roasted Red Pepper, Basil, Pesto. I liked it a lot actually, enough to give 1 more star to this place. But I’d rather spend my $ 7.50 on a Publix sub whose bread won’t rip my gums open when I bite into it. Service here is terrible. Our group could not sit right away because most of the tables were dirty. I started bussing my own table and had to ask several times for the servers to come clear the plates. There were at least 3 people walking around the small restaurant, four more behind the counter, yet I’m not exactly sure what these people do. You walk up to the counter to order. We kept telling the girl that each person was paying separately, to which she just nodded her head and told the next person to order. Then she waves you down to yell at you about why you didn’t pay for your order. No one at my table initially received water or drinks, until we kept pestering the wait staff. Forget about refills. Maybe people like to go here to over pay for mediocre food products so they can sit for hours and use their wifi. I’d rather sit at a Starbucks and earn gold points.

This place is a gem. I found this place while grabbing some desert at FroYo and decided to visit it the next morning; and almost every morning since. This café has seating both inside and outside with pleasant staff and incredible service. Typically, I come here in the mornings to work. They have dependable wifi and great breakfast for an affordable price. The special brings eggs, toast/croissant with this incredible spread. Don’t be scared to visit for lunch it’s even better. I usually have half sandwhich/soup. I go for their soup of the day. I’ve had the carrot soup and the split pea soup. Both were wonderful. I am not a big French onion gal but my husband had it and thought it was delish too. Now let’s not forget they have an entire area filled with fresh deserts and gelato! Great way to top off your visit.

I think an authentic Frenchman owns this place, but it is clearly run by some new yorker transplants. A little rude to the stupid customers but more than wiling to accommodate a savvy traveler. The quiche is very good, but skip that and go straight for a sandwich, huge and tasty filled and flavorful. The almond filled croissant are an 7 out of 10 based on classical standards, but a 11 out of 10 compared to what you find in most so called French pastry shops. Coffee was just so so, using a standard Lavazza system, would be great if they ground their own fresh, it would really benefit the atmosphere as well as the meal.

This is quite a find! It’s in the corner of a Plaza and hidden behind some trees. There’s not a lot of table space inside for big groups but there is outdoor seating. Everything is made fresh and you can see it displayed. The owner is indeed French. There’s an assortment of pastries, cakes, quiches, salads and sandwich options. There’s also a soup of the day and French onion available. I had the soup and quiche combo. My ham and cheese quiche was delicious. Baked crispy cheese on top, warm eggy center and toasted edges. The Mushroom soup was light and not creamy, which I liked. My friend said it tasted a bit bland but I actually liked that it wasn’t a sodium high. I tried my friends croque monsiour and it was also very good but a bit heavy and oily cause of the cheese on the toast. I took some pastries to go. The passion fruit coconut mousse cake was a bit too sweet. It was over the top. The fruit tart was creamy with a crispy pie crust. The Napoleon… heavenly! Definitely my favorite. It was sweet but not too sweet and the sugary top was great!

Absolutely fantastic cakes in Boca Raton. I called them on Saturday afternoon, requesting a strawberry short cake and a blueberry tart for the very best day. At first, the man answering the phone told me that they couldn’t do a blueberry tart. About 30 seconds after we hung up the phone the same gentleman called me back and explained that he was mistaken. I appreciated his honesty and agreed to place my order with them. Boy am I glad I did! Everything came out extremely well(like rivaling any bakery in any major city I’ve been to), and the cake was the hit of our evening. All of our guests commented on both how delicious the cake just tasted and also how beautiful it looked. Will be back for all of our pastry and cake needs very soon!

This place is my little refuge on my work days in Boca. The food is delicious and dangerous, the coffee and tea all hit the spot and the service is always spot on. It truly feels like a little hideaway from the hustle and bustle, and I could spend hours here alone just enjoying some quality me time. This little Francophile is quite please with Cote France.

A-mazing! The mouthwatering Croque-monsieur($ 6.60) is worth driving for miles to get. The Béchamel sauce is perfection. And there is plenty of yummy melted cheese. My husband LOVED his smoked salmon sandwich($ 6.90.) Not only was it pretty big, it had plenty of smoked salmon, cream cheese and capers on it. We also shared a chocolate croissant($ 2.70) — buttery and flaky, finished up with just the right amount of bittersweet chocolate. And we tasted some éclairs($ 4.60 each) — coffee and vanilla. Both of them were fresh and very tasty.

I had a good time at Cote France. They are a patisserie-boulangerie and bistro all rolled into one. They do a good pain au chocolat(3⁄5) and a filthy good slightly Americanized croque monsieur(5⁄5). I enjoyed the American-style filter coffee with both – no need to go mad with a café au lait. The service was super friendly at the counter(4⁄5), and courteous(3⁄5) at the table. They were quite busy late Saturday morning.

My mom and I popped into this adorable french café while waiting for some stores in the area to open on a Saturday morning. What else is there to do in Boca than shop and eat? Their desserts looked beyond fabulous, but 10am was a bit early to indulge in dessert. Instead I opted for breakfast, which was an egg sandwich on a croissant. And of course a coffee… my 2nd for the day, but who’s counting. It was the perfect breakfast and we finished just in time to do some shopping in the area. I’d definitely pop back in here when back in town & next time I’m getting some dessert.
