So my date and I ordered two orders of Vaca Frita to go. The food came out reasonably quickly since it was made to order, and the two sides we each got with our orders were all generous. I’m not Cuban, but all of the food was delicious. One day I hope to come back and enjoy their in-house service. And also maybe one of those milkshakes I saw coming out of the kitchen.

Best Caribbean restaurant ever. We had Cabrito chivo, Rabo Encendido, Churrasco con chimichurri, Tamales, croquettes, empanadas and Tres Leches. Couldn’t complain about any of them. The waitress was friendly and made good suggestions.

First time here, will not be my last. Authentic cuisine in a cozy setting. Friendly service, delicious and plentiful servings. They offered toasted Cuban bread and two tasty sauces to get things started. I had the churrasco and yellow rice with black beans for dinner. Ate every bite of this wonderfully seasoned, perfectly prepared flap served in a blazing hot cast iron pan. Like any piece of steak, if you find the correct way to cut it, it almost melts in your mouth. Very reasonably priced. They also have a big selection of fish at market prices, presented beautifully. My only regret is that I did not try the Tres Leches for dessert tonight. Going back for that tomorrow. OK so we did go back the following night to have the Tres Leches for desert. We were delighted. Rich, sweet but not too sweet, topped with fantastic cream. Can’t say enough about how the great moist consistency of it was not watery or mushy. Perfect mix of the three milks. We coupled this with their wonderfully bold café con leche. Wow, this was great.

Walking into this unassuming space nestled near an industrial area and FAU sits an incredibly charming and authentic foodie find. When you enter the aromatic scents and friendly staff greet you and invite you to sit and prepare for a great meal. The Empanada dough is the right amount of flaky and the yuca rellana was a treat. Imagine yummy seasoned beef surrounded by a pillow of fluffy mashed yucca and a delicately non greasy fried exterior. Go get some now.
