Amazing authentic Mexican food with an awesome attention to customer. And amazing deserts. And don’t forget the freshly made tortilla chips. And to top it off the place literally looks like a cantina.

Food arrived promptly. We orderd and paid for 2 meats to go into enchiladas but none arrived and couldn’t find the delivery driver to return the food. The nachos were soggy. And both of our meals were actually stone cold in the middle… They couldn’t even heat up the food properly which also raises questions about the freshness. The outer parts of the food was warm not hot. Avoid for takeaway at all costs.

First time here for us. Our waitress was eager, attentive and friendly. Great chips, guac, salsa. I even can rave about the black beans that came with my meal, I had steak fajitas, which were really good, great tortillas. My brother had a chicken burrito he really enjoyed, my sister in law had seared tuna(fish of the day) with sautéed vegetables, the dish looked fantastic, generous portion of the fresh tuna(too bad I wasn’t in the mood for that last night). She needed it done a little more, which they did, and it came back perfect for her. The manager and the waitress checked to make sure she was satisfied. It wasn’t a complaint of how it was done, but just was her preference. I tried a mango jalapeño margarita, interesting! At happy hour, if you don’t want to drink your 2 for 1 drink, they will give you a marker that you can bring back next time and take advantage of it. Great idea. So, great waitstaff, food and prices! They have funny signs on the wall too.

This is a neighborhood place that we tried for first time. Very nice and helpful waitress who guided us to the burritos which were huge and very good. Big portions and hot sauces were great. We had a salad that we split which was fine. Happy hr domestic beers second one half off and free deserts that night. We took home and finished later that night, This was a great surprise and we will return. They close 8PM but stayed open for us. Highly recommended.

I Baja can’t even… This was the most ridiculous dining experience of my life. First off, let me give them props on the décor. I felt like I was transported to a Tijuana themed side of the road redneck gift shop, way rad, very sombrero. The food, however, was not so rad… unless rad is code for everything tasted like it came out of a can. It was poorly seasoned… or not seasoned at all. Mostly it was mush that had a loose visual similarity with familiar Mexican dishes.

What a fun cheat day. Not only did I meet the best bartender in the whole world, kara but I also made a new friend named Paul or was it Peter I’m always bad on those names. I also got to meet the owner of Baja Cantina he was really nice. Now to the food for my cheat day I chose one taco it was with a crispy shell and ground beef lettuce tomato fresh salsa and a tiny bit of shredded cheese. Was it delicious? Absolutely it was and it’s not because I had two Modelo beers thank you Peter Paul for buying one of them for me. The bartender Kara, she is a great bartender so easy to talk to such a great personality I really like her a lot and hit it off with her supremely. The restaurant wasn’t very busy I was there at 2 o’clock there were a few customers but I was just there because I was absolutely dying for a taco and they were very helpful and didn’t push the side dishes on me because I couldn’t see eating refried beans and rice to avoid the extra calories that I probably put on with a Modelo beer. I have eaten here many times in the past and always have enjoyed it the chips and salsa were very very fresh I passed them along to Peter Paul I had one chip and I devoured almost all of my taco I did leave some as to not feel guilty for cheating. Will I be back absolutely I’ll be back. When you want a good taco. Baja Cantina is the place to visit

I used to love this place. Food was fantastic, but when I went last week there was a notice on the door that the restaurant was closed. I didn’t get out of my car and read the sign, but I finally found out why. They were shut down due to roaches and rodents.

We went here at a quiet time of day. Of course, good Mexican food can often get 3 stars. Mexican food is usually not blow your socks off kind of food… unless it is getting too fancy, and then it is a different type of food altogether. This food was decent; my husband said he would come back if he was in the area. I wouldn’t go out of my way, but I might not protest either. The service was nice. The manager asked me to make sure we had already been helped by the server which we had.

Some of the best Mexican food I have had. Visiting my folks who live here from California. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their dish. The freshness of the ingredients is what I noticed the most eating here. Awesome!

The place is nicely decorated. Ambience is good. Attention is nothing to complain about. food is just bah. Between average and edible. It came out pretty fast though. It looks like a nice place to have drinks on happy hours. But won’t come back for dinner

The man at the front was nice Waitress maybe doesn’t like women ? She seems to smile at men at the bar but having her as our server was bad. One persons food showed up very late. We ordered 2 appetizers and had trouble getting chips. So… Weird service Like they didn’t like us She was disinterested Rolled her eyes ?? Food We all enjoyed it Please make an effort to make customers feel welcome and not ignored The place was ¾ empty so why not put some effort into the customers ???

Server was friendly and the margaritas were decent but small for the price. I ordered the Angels Burrito and it tasted like the tomatillo was canned. I did not enjoy it at all. We tried it but unfortunately will not be going back. There are many other Mexican choices with better forms and drinks for the money.

We had frequented the previous owners and all I can say is lack of consistency! We were insulted by our server after we were served our nachos without plates and waited more than 5 minutes to receive them. There are much better places for mexican and margaritas!

Good, friendly service. I got two cold tortillas for the terrible carne fajitas. They probably were leftovers from lunch!!! Left the free drink chips on the table. I never go back to a restaurant just because the service is good. Mary S

Not completely awful, but back when it was Baja Café like the one in Deerfield Beach. doesn’t even come close. First of all Cantina, you took down all the things off the wall that made the atmosphere fun. Secondly, your burrito just isn’t the same as it used to be. :(overall, servers and staff had been friendly, and attentive. Long live Baja Café

Just visited today after all this time that its been closed. I read the reviews about it being horrible and what not, but i didn’t experience anything horrible at all. They were very friendly and attentive. Food was exactly the same!

This place is actually really great! I don’t really agree with the reviews below. The staff is super wonderful, that’s 100% true! The outdoor seating section is small, but all in the shade and there’s actually a table to accommodate a reasonably large party. They have some of the best margaritas I’ve had here in Boca and during happy hour you can get them for a really reasonable price. They even have a skinny girl margarita if you prefer them less sweet! I usually stick the chile rellenos but their burritos smell amazing and everyone I’ve eaten there with always enjoys them. Beware though, their hot sauce is super spicy and less is definitely more!!! You have to try the Asada dishes. THEYREAMAZING. And the restaurant is super willing to accommodate! They made me a dish with shrimp even though it wasn’t on the menu! Definitely a nice place to go.

We were seated right away. Enjoyed the outdoor seating. Also I couldn’t get enough of the chips and homemade salsa, which was brought to us right away. The guac app tasted so fresh! Loved the mahi mahi fajitas! One of my friends had the blackened mango tacos and the other had a quesadilla. We all had margs. no complaints here!

I visited Baja Cantina for the first time two weeks ago with a friend for Friday happy hour after work. I hadn’t been to this location when it was a different restaurant, so I can’t compare it with its predecessor. I was craving guacamole, but I am very picky with my guacamole: it can only have avocados, lime juice and salt. This is usually not a problem since guacamole is typically made table side in Mexican restaurants, however at Baja Cantina, they were unable to accommodate my request, because the guac is PREMADE. If you’re not Chipotle, and you have servers and sit-down service, you should NOT be buying your guac in bulk, made in some factory somewhere! Gross! You are a Mexican restaurant, you need to be making this fresh to order. Next problem: I wanted to try their fried oreos for dessert. Sounds simple enough, right? Well next thing I know, someone from the kitchen comes out to inform me that usually they use berry-flavored oreos for this dessert(um what?), however today, they were using caramel apple oreos. My first thought was, ok, caramel apple oreos SHOULDNOT exist! Period! My complaint is this, if you’re not using regular oreos for your fried oreos dessert, and you almost always use berry-flavored ones, then your menu should either explicitly state berry-flavored oreos, or say seasonal flavors! That was so misleading. Their rationale for using bizarre and most likely disgusting-tasting oreos was that regular oreos don’t taste good deep fried. I know this is false because I’ve tasted regular oreos deep fried from a food truck and they were heaven. If you’re looking for a good Mexican place in Boca, you have to go west. Go to Casa Tequila on Glades for good guac and yummy food. This place is a dump.

Went for lunch on a weekday and it wasn’t even ½ full. New owners opened this restaurant recently after a little remodel. They bring free chips and salsa. The red salsa wasn’t spicy so we asked for the green hot salsa. It was good to mix with the red salsa. I ordered the rattlesnake burrito. It was stuffed with lettuce, tomato, shredded beef and some chili/beans. It was topped with melted cheddar cheese, jarred jalapenos, and chili. They give you rice and beans(refried or black). I chose refried which are topped with cheddar cheese. The burrito had two spice symbols next to it, but I didn’t find it that hot. It had good flavor, but I would try something else if I go again. My friends tacos didn’t look that exciting. They were served on flour shells… not authentic. Staff was very efficient and we never had to ask for anything. There is an attached parking lot with free parking. The place had good ambiance. The bar is small and seats less than 10 people.
