American Dancesport Center

Although group lessons are available and a mainstay here, I am simply not very comfortable in group lesson situations partly because I have come to rely on a partner to lead over the many years since my first ballroom lesson in my teens. So I signed up for, and have had, some great private lessons, mostly with Brad, but also with Stan. Even though I have no partner, I have had some really great times at the regular (free to contract students) Wednesday evening parties where I dance with all the instructors and others who come to have a fun time.
I have no wish to reach competition level or do exhibitions, but my lessons are a wonderful hour of aerobic exercise which is actually enjoyable, where I am learning new steps and skills as well in a stress-​free setting and where I have also made new friends.
Fun and pleasure from healthy exercise with great people in a friendly setting – can’t think of a better way to spend my time or money. msk

My fiancé and I went in looking for a miracle before our wedding (mind you wedding is 2 weeks away). I called up and spoke to Brad and Shirley who were very pleasant and very informative. We made an appt. and went in the following week. Met with Shirley who was wonderful. Makes you feel very at home and relaxed. We were very pleased with the teaching style and location was very nice and close by. We didn’t sign up for the package that night, only because we didn’t want to commit with so many thing going on and our time crunch but we discussed going back for sure! I highly recommend this dance center.

Learn to dance? A little intimidating, right? I was a little nervous about going there at first, but they have such a fun group of teachers.
I have taken both the 2pm and 7pm dance classes. I really liked the teachers and the classmates, granted I was the youngest student there by 30 years at 2 of the classes I went to. The class style was very low pressure and even when the class was crowded, the teacher would make sure everyone understood the moves while still moving the class quickly through beginner to intermediate moves.
Found this place on Groupon where I bought the 10-​class deal for couples which we have 1 whole year to use. When my guy was not available to join me for the evening class, I went online and found out about their 2pm classes. I live about 5 miles from this place and 2pm is a great break in my work schedule. I work from home, so I need to get out or I get cabin fever.
Haven’t made it to the Friday night party yet but it sounds fun. My schedule has just been crazy on weekends. Took my guy tonight for the 7pm salsa class and it was so much fun. He was the class clown but the teacher still taught him and kept the class on track.
The bottom line is the venue is nice, the dance schedule offers a lot of different options, classmates are friendly, they welcome newbies and the teachers really care about you and move at your pace.
