Great little eatery Honduran style!!! Don’t come over here to order burrito or tacos, this is not that type of place. We looked at the menu and didn’t even order from it. Menu of the day is written on the board above and we ordered sopas de mariscos and chuleta cebienes. Sopas is full of flavor, crab legs, shrimp, mussels and other yummy seafood. Chuleta is steak slathered with Honduran coleslaw(I think) and plantains. Both were scrumptious and fills you right up. Big portions and very tasty, my wife and I did not finish and we have to bring it home for the kids. We will definitely be back.

Honduran food that«has the meats» I quickly get bored with American chain restaurants when I travel for work. Looking around for something interesting, yet close to the office where I’m working for two weeks, I found Baleada Express on Google Maps. Sitting next to a Napa auto parts store, the outside façade is nothing to look at. The interior is pretty much 1980s blah, but the what-I-hope-is-authentic-Honduran food was a true surprise. Service was the friendly casual sort that made you feel like you were eating in a family dining room rather than a barely-decorated cafeteria, which beats a formal restaurant any day. I chose the«bandeja paisa,» which is described on the menu as «beef, rice, fried plantain, pork, chorizo, beans, avacado, and a fried egg.» Fortunately, I found that the flavor of avocados is not changed much by typos. The best-tasting ingredient by far was the mildly spicy chorizo hiding underneath a large serving of well-seasoned and reasonably tender minute steak. The fried egg — in what I’ve decided to call the«protein special» — was not seasoned, but provided a nice contrast to other flavors on the plate. The most interesting protein was the pork, which was essentially bacon fat still attached to what I believe is tendon or skin.(I’m sure there is an official foody name, but I’m not that that well versed.) Amazing flavor if you like bacon fat, though it’s a bit difficult to cut the slitted chunks off the rind. I’ve always loved fried plantains and these did not disappoint. Perhaps more surprising turned out to be the generous serving on a plate that cost $ 13.99. In fact, the overall plate was so large, I was only able to consume half of it. If you’re tired of sterile or generic American dining and want to try a few new flavors, this is a good place to try. If you need to feed an army of not-too-picky kids, this is a great place to try.

My wife and I had an early dinner here and the food was very good. The food was fresh, the portions were very large for the price. I am kind of sauce guy and I had three different sauces to sample and they were fantastic!

I’ve just discovered this space and am amazed. The food was fantastic. I had the baleada, a stew, and the meat on the bandeja! Even the rice and beans were good! Really impressive. They also have a bunch of natural fruit drinks and they give refills. I’d plan on a bit of a wait; yet, it is absolutely worth it! In the same complex as the bike shop.

Love this place. Haunts my dreams. Their Curtido and carne asada is awesome. A family of three can eat(well) for $ 15. They also do large group orders which allowed me to cater a party of 100 people for cheap. Everything is made to order so it may take some time but is well with it.

Just discovered this place recently; came for lunch today and definitely we will be back! We both got sopa de mariscos(seafood soup) wow should’ve just gotten 1 and shared-lots and lots of seafood, delish broth served with rice and tortillas — took a bunch home to have for lunch later. Also got a baleada with chorizo beans and avocado which was also huge– only took a taste as we were so full but it was also tasty! Fruit juices are served such as cantaloupe, guava, pineapple etc very refreshing. Pretty decent lunch crowd and service was very good too. We’ll be back!
