We contacted the corporate office through social media with a copy of my previous, 1-star review and within a couple of days, someone from the Blue Springs branch came out to look at the damages. We agreed on a fair settlement in compensation and received their check in a reasonable time frame. For working with us to resolve the problems, they earn back 2 stars and the review goes to 3.

My family relocated from Kansas City, MO to Charlotte, NC this summer. I had booked a move with Major League Vanlines and paid a $ 2220 deposit. On the day of my move no one showed up and no one called. When I started calling to find out why there was a delay, I only found answering machines. That’s when I knew I was scammed. On a recommendation from my friend, I called Two Men and a Truck, in complete distress. They said they could move us in 6 days when a truck and crew would be available. Because it was such short notice, they could only offer a 26 foot truck and a 7000 pound limit. They would collect no money upfront as long as I could show the crew a cashiers check in the full amount on the day of the move. Because I had just been scammed, I called their office daily to confirm movers would be coming. Each day I received not only the reassurances I needed, the office staff also apologized for my previous experience and offered patience and understanding for my daily calls. On Monday, the day of the move, THREE men showed up. They arrived a full hour early. They were so professional. They joked with my daughters and me and with each other. They made this stressful situation feel like a type of moving party. The three of them loaded my entire house in a few hours then stopped by our storage unit to pick-up the rest of our things. The truck arrived in Charlotte on Wednesday, TWODAYSAFTERLOADING as promised. It was the same crew that had loaded the truck in Kansas City. It took 5 hours to unload because of driveway difficulties and rain. We bought pizza for everyone and they refused to eat because they didn’t want food to slow them down. At 10:30pm, they were done. They wished us good luck & graciously accepted a pizza that we had set aside for them. I LOVE Two Men and a Truck. What started as a tearful and hopeless situation was made right by the Blue Springs Two Men and a Truck staff. I can’t remember the names of the men who moved us. They were a pair of cousins. If you need to move locally or across the country, call this company and request the cousins to be your crew. Thank you Two Men and a Truck.

To my friends in the KC metro area – I will NOT recommend the services of Two Men And A Truck /Kansas City to you. The gentlemen that actually moved my furniture were awesome, they made the move smooth and easy. However, there was one casualty that hot day in July; my dining room table. It’s been a month since my move date and I am still working with the office staff to repair my table with little to no help. After six phone calls I have gotten no further than a repair man taking the broken table leg to repair with a promise to return the next day. Needless to say… I’m still waiting to have him return a week later. The customer service from this company is less than superior – what a disappointment!

I have used Two Men and A Truck three times over 10 years, so I have«faith» in the company’s abilities; I guess I struck out this time! If you want a discount mover’s, you get what you pay for. Here is the count down… 1. I paid extra to have three men and a truck, I should have not paid the extra. One of the movers complaint during the entire move that his back hurt and couldn’t do too much(Hello, you are a mover…) 2. The time frame for the move to start was 1 – 3 pm. I called at 2 pm to see if they were running behind; the office said no and they will be there shortly…3:20 pm they show. OK… I know things happen, but I could have been moving items for 2 hours. 3. «Holy demolition, Batman!»…awning and guttering over the porch and driveway; handle on the refrigerator; and wheel on the grill — MIA; and scratches on the bedroom furniture. Shall I continue… blah, blah, blah! Basically, use a different company.
