Swim Center Pool and Spa Supplies

When Swim Center first opened under new owners I had a few bad experiences. Since then, however, things have really turned around so I felt I should update my review. No matter who is there, they are always friendly and helpful. This is still my go to place and I can once again refer people there with confidence.

i have been a above ground pool owner for over 13 years… and swim center is not across the street for me actually it’s quite a drive and I pass several pool stores on my way … and ive been in all of them. when I found swim center after a few months of trying all the others I never left. there prices are lower then just about everywhere except maybe wal mart and well walmart dosnt sell 15,000 gallon pools either. I have never had bad service ever. the worst service I have ever had was when I had to wait awhile for a water test … wait… well that means the line was very long. bad store with long lines mmmm that’s unusual .so for the people who had a bad experience at swim center make sure you were at the right store and try them again they have new owners and the service has only got better… also as the saying goes you cant please everyone all the time. but for 13 years you have pleased me. so thanks swim center as long as your open ill be there shopping.

Before I get into this review I want to tell you, this is where I go for all my pool needs. I’ve been to other stores that have given me poor advice and screwed up my pool. This rating is based on expertise and customer service. In my opinion, these guys are «true experts», but I lowered my rating because… well just read the review.
Pros: Free pool water testing and recommendations for fixing water that is out of balance .They have an extremely knowledgeable staff who can tell you why you need implement their recommendations. Their recommendations work. They carry all the chemicals you need to fix your pool water problems. Additionally they have most pool parts too, pumps, motors, nets, skimmer baskets, etc.
Cons: Their hours are inconvenient for me. Monday through Friday 10 – 6, 10 – 4 on Saturdays and 1 – 4 on Sundays during the season. When you work full time and have family obligations on the weekends, you end up scheduling your weekend around your trip to the pool store.
In my opinion, the staff doesn’t always seem friendly. To be fair, they work incredibly hard and have more to do than they can get to, but sometimes I get the feeling that I’m bothering them.
All that being said, if you go here you will get exactly what you need to fix your problem. They almost always have what you need in stock and they know what they are talking about. So if you want your ego stroked, they won’t do it. If you want your pool to sparkle, they can help.

I have been waiting for the store to open for the season. They have a sign outside saying they will reopen soon, but as of now they are closed.
Update August 2011
Well, not long after my last update Swim Center reopened under new ownership. It is now open.
Update Summer 2012
Since they have reopened, I have been back several times to have my water tested. I have had excellent service and their advice has been spot on.
