Kim’s Alterations

Not someplace I’ll ever go back to. Kim is nice enough and quick to take your money. But when I’m told my uniform shirts will be ready «in a week,» only to show up and hear she hasn’t even started on them? Not real impressed. Then of course, she tells me to come back in 2-​days and she’ll have all 4-​shirts tailored and ready to go. Obviously with little choice in the matter, I show up 2-​days later, pick up my shirts, get them home, try them on ~ and no two shirts fit alike. She resorted to a careless, crappy «rush job,» and I was stuck wearing the best of the 4 shirts for an entire week, while taking the rest to another tailor to fix what she’d screwed up. $ 138.00 out the window. Lesson learned ~ never again…

I can only speak to my experience. I had several of my husband’s dress slacks taken in. She did a very good job, couldn’t tell they had been altered in any way. Have used her several times and the work was always very good.

Horrible!!! I took my rehearsal dress to her a month before I needed it! I called the day before I was supposed to pick it up. She said it would be done and I could pick it up «tomorrow». When I got there the next day she tried to tell me I lost weight and she had to take it in again! Not true she had not even started! When I called her out on it then she stared making up excuses for why it was not done! She also didnt have my mother’s dress or sister’s bridesmaid dress done for the wedding that was that weekend! She then told us to come back at 7:00 that same day and it would be done… NOPE!!! We finally had to come back the next day (day of my rehearsal and day before my wedding) to pick up all 3 dresses! She had a month to work on them and DIDNT DO ANYTHING until two days before the wedding!!!
When it was time to pay her she said it was $ 50.00 perdress when the first time I went there she said it would be $ 40.00. We paid her just to get the heck out of there!!!
Also, while we were there a group of men came in to get their pants for their wedding the same day as mine and she didn’t do their pant either!!! She is not organized or on time with anything!
Finally, when I got the dress the stiching was white and my dress is pink, The stiching also didnt match up where she cut the dress to take it in so my decrative design around the dress is lop sided. If anyone wants to see a picture of her work on my dress I would be more than happy to send you one.
