A retired Catholic priest, Father N. Brendan Doyle, the proprietor of this establishment, was nothing short of accommodating and sincere! Truly Spectacular, he was. A bit of Ireland in Blue Ridge, Ga. This isn’t a place to come if you just want to sit down and have a bit to to eat and leave. No. This is a place where locals come to mingle, sit down and have a few pints. We(six of us) walked in from a referral of a nearby restaurant waitress. We are glade we did. That was on Wednesday, December 9, 2015. We had such a nice time that Father Brendan invited us back for Friday’s live band and we went back. Such a cool place. Father B may you succeed in spades!!! xoxox The Girls in South FLA!

After reading other reviews we almost skipped this place but I have to tell you the owner was nothing but amazing, kind and had the typical dry Irish humor I love so much! We were here right after Christmas and many of the locals were dropping by with gifts for him(which says a lot!) He even shared some of his sweet treats with those of us at the bar. We only ate the frys and they were freezer crinkle cut but they were made to order, hot and amazing! Another review said no food after 6 but the kitchen actually opens AT six so maybe they heard him wrong. I would come back, and plan to!

We ordered fish and chips and chicken and chips, because he said that’s all he had. I got 2 tiny frozen chicken strips with tiny little frozen krinkle fries. My husband got one tiny(seriously might have been the size of a Sharpie marker) frozen fish strip and it was still frozen in the middle. I think you would get better fish and chips from the Publix frozen aisle. I had a draft, my daughter had a sprite, my husband had a miller lite, and it was $ 31 without the tip. The owner is not a happy camper. I love the décor, but do not order food in this place, just beer.

A wee bit of Ireland in God’s Country, Blue Ridge, Ga. This isn’t a place to come if you just want to sit down and have a bit to to eat and leave. No. This is a place where locals come to mingle, sit down and have a pint or two and talk about thier day, life and a funny story or two. I walked in, not knowing a soul, sat down and was greeted by the bar keep Mr Doyle(a true Irish man) and a patron named Michael. I commented on the picture on the wall of Michael Collins … «Aye tis the big fellow’s birthday this month» came a quick reply. I raised my glass to Mr Collins and the revolution and quickly felt at home. All sorts of people made their way in. The bar keep, Mr Doyle knew most by name and if he didn’t he’d inquire. All were made to feel at home, in his wee place of heaven.

This place looks pretty cool, decorations were nice. Very nostalgic. Imported cider was wonderful but no food at 6 at night when everyone else serves dinner. Bar tender was friendly and service was great.
