Worst service ever. I’ve been here three times, and not once have I left satisfied with the service. I mean, if you’re friends with the bartender you’ll get great service. Other wise prepare to wait around and be treated like a second class citizen.

I don’t get what all the hype is about. I’ve lived in Blue Lake for two years now and have only had one good experience here out of about 5 try’s. Last night the bartender didn’t let me close out on a $ 8 tab saying I needed to spend $ 10 and tried to get me to buy chips. Earlier in the day I got screwed by my mechanic and didn’t feel like throwing more of my hard earned blue collar money at someone behind a counter. I had the same situation at Richard’s Goat and they were totally cool about it and let me slide. That’s the small town attitude and respect for young working people that Logger Bar should have.

Delicious mofo signature drinks and awesome super bowl bbq! Enjoying a «Logger lemonade» with vodka, strawberry, watermelon, simple syrup, lemon juice and soda. Cheers!

This is definitely a locals spot, but welcomes anyone from anywhere. There is a lot of neat stuff to see in the bar, tons of history, and funky traditions. They often have live music(though at the time of this review there is a legal action to stop that). They have turtle racing one night a month. Drinks are top notch. Ask what the specials are and get one. You will not be disappointed. At least I hope not. You can almost always get a game of pool in, but don’t drop the que. There’s a tradition for that if you do!

So glad they opened this place and brought some revival to Blue Lake. This is a great small town bar.

Not a bad local bar. Cheap pool table. The locals can be interesting to interact with, but it is worth going to. Not a bad small town bar.

The Logger… A must see for tourists & a staple for locals. Full bar, beers, $.25 pool, live music, trivia nights. Back deck for«stargazing»… Not to mention custom floors inlaid w/huge saw blades & loads of memorabilia from days of yore… Great laid back atmosphere for sure!

Very fun place with awesome aesthetics, history and cool laid back vibe. Often have live music or other interactive themed evenings. Beer is reasonably priced with an excellent selection. Happy hour is everyday woot woot! I really love the free pool on Mondays & the fact they have Kombucha on tap.

Such a great place — and the memorabilia on the walls is fun to show people from out of the area. The selection of draft beers is wonderful, and the full bar features freshly mixed drinks. It doesn’t get any better. Hard-working, friendly staff — is there a better bar anywhere?

Find a reason to grab a drink in this bar. Take a river bike ride on a sunny day or catch live music at night. One of my favorite Humboldt bars.

Fabulous neighborhood bar of Blue Lake! They have live music and fun gaming events {billiards, turtle races, ping pong, etc…} The Logger has friendly and awesome bartenders all of the time! Right in the center of their bar, is a fresh juicer for their mixed drinks and it smells amazing!!! Greyhounds and Lemon martinis with fresh squeezed citrus? Yes please! It is also very clean at this bar, a rarity for bars. Visit the logger!!!

The new Logger Bar cannot even be compared to the old one. Kate has renovated it into a comfortable(yet still historical) place to have a great drink with friends or by yourself. The new floor is way cool with huge saw blades laid into it. There is a little beer garden out back so you can enjoy the sunshine so abundant in Blue Lake. They have a great selection of local beers and awesome mojitos made with home grown mint and organic local strawberries.mmmm. Also, The little café across the street does wood fired pizza and they’ll deliver right to the bar! AND, there is often great local music for no cover! Definitely a place to be checked out.

Go see the new Logger Bar in Blue Lake. The new owner and many in the local community have come together to bring this Humboldt icon back and better that before. Way to go Kate!

This is such a crazy but wonderful historic dive bar, and you need to come here with an open mind and sense of humor to enjoy the experience. The bartender is just as surly as she can be, there isn’t much«happening» here(it’s usually fairly empty), and there isn’t much of a drink selection. You’re expected to buy a beer or a whiskey, and pay with cash. But apparently this bar has been here for about a century, since the logging days. It’s not just a «logging themed bar»; it’s the real deal. Loggers drank here back in the day and the place is decorated with their equipment, photographs, and memorabilia. If you’d appreciate enjoying a beer while learning about the fascinating history of Humboldt County, this is the place… It’s –definitely– one of a kind!

If you know me, you know I love a good dive bar. The Logger Bar is a great dive! It was practically empty at 7pm on Saturday night but that was fine by me and my friends. The only downside is they do not take cards. CASHONLY! That’s why it’s minus one star. If you find yourself behind the Redwood Curtain, stop by the Logger.

Great place for checking out old time logging goods, and the wood stove with the office chair is to die for! With that said, the rest of it kind of sucked. We walked in after the Hoptober Fest last weekend, and were the only people there for an hour or so. The bartender was more than surly, she was downright rude and wouldn’t get off her computer for over ten minutes to come serve us anything. It seemed to be a huge issue for her to actually do her job, and it was not how business should be run. Later that night I was at a party in Arcata, and the Logger Bar came up in conversation. The consensus of the locals who spent time there in the past was the bartender was worthless, and pulled the same crappy service because she was on play station instead of the computer. I guess the employee pool is pretty thin in Blue Lake…
