Great family friendly Friday fish fry in the basement. Food and prices are great. The bowling alley upstairs is also family friendly and reasonably priced. I would absolutely return on any Friday evening for fish and bowling.

Great place for a simple day of bowling, beer and nostalgia. We love the neighborhood places and look for them every time we go. We were the very first people in the door, no lane lights were on but there was a lady behind the counter who got the 11 of us going in no time. Old school, where you have to keep your own score with a pencil like we used to do and the bar had a number of, you can tell, neighborhood regulars. We didn’t feel out of place one bit. I don’t know why this one hadn’t come up on our radar before now because it really has everything we look for on a day like today. This is our day after Thanksgiving tradition, bowling then pizza and I know we will go here again.

This place is a time machine! I’m not just referring to the cheap prices, décor, and the fact that you keep your own score. This place brings you back to a simpler and some may argue a better time. Go bowl, converse, maybe have a few too many, and stumble home just like your grandparents probably did.

Old-school bowling alley, dive bar, rec. room style basement bar, fish fry, Eagles. Everywhere. If you want retro fun, retro prices, this is the place. They do have leagues, so if bowling is your thing, call ahead to make sure there are lanes available: or spend your time in the dive-ish bar drinking cheap drafts of Lite. I wouldn’t blame ya if you chose that option. They run a fish fry out of the basement hall nearly all fall and winter. No need to wait for lent here! Lots of options, filleted fresh in house. They also offer smelt, a Calumet classic. And if you don’t like fish, try the fried chicken. Salad bar is stocked with iceberg, onions, cucumbers, radishes, tomatoes… seasonal? No. Fits the vibe? Just right. The Eagles are an active fraternal organization, and its members are generous to the community. You might stumble in on an event. Buy a raffle ticket or split the pot and you can join the party, I’d guess. Someone might even share a slice of homemade cake. Don’t miss their annual Turkey Shoot for a chance to «bowl» with frozen turkeys! Not all will agree with my 4 stars. I don’t want to disappoint you. But if you get it, you get it, and you’ll leave a fan, just like me.
