Deep dish sucked and wings don’t come with ranch… Best thing about this place is the sweet baby rays sauce they use… Waitress was hard to find and laughed when I said that she took my ranch!

I have had this pizza since I was a kid and it is beyond compare it’s cheesy and flavorful, this pizza never disappoints it is what pizza should be. Beggar’s is a must try if you get a chance. Our server was helpful and very attentive asking every 5 minutes if we needed anything.

The pizza at this location is ok, but I’d hate to eat here. The atmosphere was dark and a little on the dreary side. It didn’t seem to bother any of the diners, but I was glad I was picking up pizza and leaving. The location in Merrionette Park is a little less run-down looking inside.

Bad Management and wait staff. My niece had her daughter a sweet 16 party here. Firstly when I got there the young lady in the front thought I was lying about being part of the party, which made me feel like I was a criminal trying to sneak in. I guess because I am African American I had to be lying. Secondly, I noticed that the waiters had attitudes. It was a all you can eat pizza package for this party which specific types of pizza was supposed to be there because of food allergies, but they seem to bring out whatever pizzas that they didn’t want. Lastly; The worst part was when the parents dropped their kids off and the manager charged my niece for the people that dropped their kids off which was an extra $ 115. When we tried to explain that the parents didn’t stay they just was dropping off their kids. The manager JAIME said«He only count the people coming in the room not leaving«The manager JAIME got mad and he was ready to fight us. We felt threatened and we had children present so my niece let him keep the money. To conclude; I ADVISEEVERYONE not to have a party there unless your willing to pay an extra $ 115. Plus the pizza was not good at all. This is just not the place to have a party especially for a kid. I say order pizza from Chucks or Italian Fiesta these are the two best pizza places in town, and have a party at home instead of this Beggars pizza.

I’ve had beggars thin crust pizza plenty of times before but this is my first time trying Deep dish and I must say I’m sticking to the thin crust! Overall the pizza was good but the drinks were ok. I had a margarita on the rock and it could’ve been better!

It’s no Barracos but it’s a great stand in. It’s pretty decent Chicago pizza. I always go for the thin crust with green peppers and I have never been dissatisfied. The service is usually pretty fast. They also have yummy fries that make a great appetizer.

Officially worst pizza in Chicago! We ordered a thin crust with sausage mushrooms and spinach. The sausage had no taste and they were also pretty big pieces to put on a pizza, sauce was plain as can be the cheese was to thick, mushrooms were out of a can and the spinach is the frozen kind. Worst pizza ever and to top it off we paid 28.00 for it !!

I went into this location with coworkers for a late lunch. I was first greeted by the host in which she discourages me from getting the buffet. My coworkers and myself decided to then sit down and order a deep dish pizza. The waitress Marina gave us every excuse to not order the deep dish pizza. She claimed it could take 45 minutes to 2 hours. 2 hours ?! She would not allow us to customize our appetizer either due to the fact that it «comes all together in one frozen bag». She was not attentive, did not give us silverware not refill our waters. All in all this was a terrible and embarrassing experience.

I booked their party room for my daughter’s high school graduation party. It was a great experience. The room was clean and set up very nicely before we arrived to set up decorations and have the DJ set up. They have a dance floor and flat screen tv’s that can be used to play slideshows. The staff made sure we we’re taken care of the entire night. I got the pizza and pop package which provides unlimited pizza for 2 hours and soda the entire time you have the room. Each table had a pitcher of cola and lemon-lime soda and a nice carafe of water with a slice of lemon and lime which was nice touch. The service staff was great! It was such a great value — worth every penny! The adults could bring alcoholic drinks from the bar into the party rooms and the bar prices are really great — they have great microbrews on tap like Laguanitas and Revolution brewery. Sue the party coordinator was a pleasure to work with as well!

If you like greasy average pizza with loads of toppings, then you will enjoy it. Terribly overpriced for average pizza

I love there pizza. I have gone here many times and always liked it. They also sell slices if you are a person who is on the run looking for quick good food at a fair price.

My favorite thin crust in the city, I can’t count the number of times Ive had it, any topping is good, the cheese is nice and thick and gooey, the crust in nice and soft, it brags about its thick crust, but it’s not super thick, it’s just the right level in my opinion, their deep dish is decent, not my favorite but still good, the meatball sub is also good, ive only been to the far southwest city locales, but theyre all great

I am visiting from Saint Louis and we came here because it was close to the hotel we are staying at and it looks like a nice place. The waitress only gave us 3 menus for 7 people and the deep dish pizza was not good at all. I would have rather had a frozen pizza. At the end of our meal she did not ask us if we wanted the bill split up 7 ways and when she brought us the bill she told us she couldn’t split it up. One of the guys I was with asked her for $ 20 in change and handed her a $ 20 bill. She did not ever come back with his change and until he left he completely forgot about it. The service was horrible. I will never go back there when I visit the Chicago area again.

This place is solidly mediocre. Not in a good way but an I hope I don’t get sick when I go home way. The pizza is decent but the beer is terrible. Cheap, but definitely stick with the light beer bottles and drafts. They don’t have or were out of dark beer bottles when I was there so I went with a Sam Adams draft. It was horribly skunky. I know that this place is dearly beloved by many who grew up on it but for the rest of us, well, not my favorite.

This past Sunday I was in the mood for pizza and in the Alsip area. I looked up a few places, as I am not too familiar with the area. Came across Beggars and as I’ve heard so much about this place, I decided to order a pizza for delivery. I was highly dissapointed with their pizza. I ordered a medium pizza half mushrooms and jalapenos and half sausage and jalapenos. My half with the mushrooms and jalapenos was bland! I am almost 100% sure the mushrooms were out of a can. The cheese became very rubery very quick and it tasted like rubber as well. The dough on the pizza was frozen for sure and was very hard to bite into. Basically, it all tasted like a slice of carboard with canned mushrroms and jalapenos. I WILLNEVER order from this place again. I shall search for a better option in Alsip.

If you asked me to rate Beggar’s on take out… definitely deserve 5 stars. In fact, I normally order pizza from here and go pick it up(or send my boyfriend). We’ve had deep dish, stuffed, and thin crust. Thin crust is a little too much grease and cheese. Both the deep dish and stuffed is better… but I’d probably chose Deep Dish in a crisis(does it give it away that I grew up in Chicago because I consider a crisis can exist involving pizza?) Well anyways, I usually get pepperoni and mushroom. Even though they use canned mushrooms, it’s still really good. My boyfriend really liked the quarter of the pizza tonight(thin crust) that also had ground beef. Overall, the pizza is good. Dining in is kind of slow. We went on a Friday night and were not at all in a hurry. In fact, I checked Unilocal reviews and saw that people said the service was slow… but we went anyways because we wanted pizza and to relax a bit. Yes, we definitely waited more than 30 minutes for the pizza. Luckily we got boneless wings as an appetizer so that we didn’t start to eat the table and napkins as we waited. The waiter said that they put our pizza in a box for delivery and he didn’t know it was done right away. As long as the pizza hadn’t gotten cold, I wasn’t going to complain. It was warm enough and we enjoyed our dinner. Overall not the best dine-in experience but the pizza is pretty good. Mind you that I love their deep dish and I have been eating deep dish since I was a kid.

Been coming here for quite a while now. Pizza is always great, thin or deep dish. The pasta dishes and sometimes the sandwiches seem a bit average, ordinary. May have to spruce them up with some pepper and/or cheese… Place gets really busy at night, especially on the weekends. If you don’t mind sitting in the bar, you can usually always find a table. Jukebox and TV’s will get loud, so it’s your personal preference whether you can tolerate the noise or not. I don’t mind it, and I ALWAYS enjoy watching baseball or any sports for that matter on 10 flat screen TV’s with $ 10 buckets of Miller Lite… Service can get bogged down at times depending on the crowd. If the parking lot is packed, likewise expect a wait inside. 20 minutes is normal on a busy night. Long story short, stop in and grab some of the best pizza the Chicago has to offer. You won’t be disappointed, especially if you have leftovers… Cold pizza… Oh P. S. Check the back of their menus for the fine print, they DON’T SEPARATE the checks!(See my pic)
