My company rented out the«Barn Room» for our Summer Picnic. It was nice because there’s a lot to do: — Basketball Court — Volleyball Court — Horses — Swimming Pool — Golf — Mini Golf — Playground It’s nice out everything is spaced out here. The staff was nice. You can get outside catering to come here and host your party. Definitely do not go with Blue Bell Catering(I wrote a separate review for that) but, the food was not good. This definitely is a good venue for BBQs and parties. Lots of activities and space.

We hosted our daughter’s wedding here on May 23rd. It was great! My daughter and son in law wanted a reception that offered the traditional dancing options, but they also wanted space for those who don’t like to dance and Mermaid Lake fit the bill perfectly! We had booked the space called«The Barn», it is a large outdoor area with 3 large areas covered by pavilions, all three areas were attached, so that in the event of rain you could pass from one area to the other without leaving the covered area. It also has a large area with open lawn, a basketball court, volleyball net, and a small playground area. There is also a private pool. My daughter did not want the pool open for her wedding because she still wanted a more formal affair. Everything was just the way they wanted it. In addition to renting the barn area, we also rented the Paddock Room, which was in the same area. We only rented that in the event of rain, so that the food could be set up there. The food is served buffet style and the food line is outside of the pavilion area. In the event of rain, I didn’t want people to have to get wet getting their food. We had a beautiful day so it wasn’t an issue, but not having to worry about it leading up to the day, made it well worth the extra couple of hundred dollars! We dealt with Donna in the office when making arrangements and had no problems at all with interactions. In the days leading up to the event and the day of the wedding, we dealt with Barb. She was amazing! She walked us through everything, we told her what we wanted, she made suggestions and was more than accommodating. This venue has you provide your own alcohol and they provide the bartenders. We bought some things in for decorating, table centerpieces, and little accents, when we came the week before to drop off the alcohol and things, Barb helped us carry everything in, locked up the alcohol for us, and was extremely helpful! The Bride and Groom didn’t want the traditional wedding reception in a Hall, the idea of a wedding consultant by their side every minute, made them uncomfortable. I was a little nervous at hosting an event that wasn’t what I was used to, however, the reception had a lot of the traditional aspects mixed in with a mix of a garden/barn wedding reception and everyone commented on how beautiful it was! Most importantly, it was exactly what the bride and groom had hoped for! If I had to do it again tomorrow, I would absolutely choose Mermaid Lake!

I have been here twice now for my boyfriend’s annual company picnic and both times enjoyed myself. It features, lots of activities, a huge pool with 4 slides, 9 holes of golf, mini golf, challenge course, and a wide array of sports courts/fields. The swim club was swarming with children but there was plenty of room in the pool for more low key swimmers as well! The catering was delicious as well offering hot dogs, hamburgers, grilled chicken, and baby back ribs and lots of tasty side dishes. Additionally there was novelty food available as well! I imagine this is a great place to go to summer camp. My only complaint is the quality and accessibility of the restaurants. The partial stall door didn’t even close properly. They were dirty and poorly attended!

This review is only for the golf course: first and most importantly to play the 9 hole course is $ 7 on the weekday and on the weekend the price rockets to $ 8. The course is one step above a chip and putt… The course itself isn’t in good shape: T box is beat up and isn’t always clearly marked, the fairway doesn’t exist, the ball washers are all dry, no one rakes the sand, and the greens need some attention. At this point you may be thinking this course sounds horrible and why did this yahoo give it 5 stars!!! My son is 7 and just started playing golf so this place is perfect. In fact if you are just learning to play this is the place for you. Playing a large course as a beginner can be a struggle hitting the ball 10 times to get close to the green can be discouraging, especially if you are playing with someone that can hit the ball to the center of the fairway. My son and I have a ton of fun playing this course and there is no pressure to move quickly. Beginners behold you have found your course. After you conquer this place go to Walnut Lane, Philadelphia it is an 18 hole course and good for intermediate players.

I went here a few weeks ago for my husband’s yearly company picnic. It was a nice big space with lots to do and it was really well kept. The food was good and overall I had a great time.

This is such a great place for families. My company has their annual picnic here every year. They have pools, courts, golf, food, and shade. When I go here, there’s always activities provided(face paint, color spin art, glitter tattoos, games, bounce bounce, pony rides, etc etc). Not sure if my company provides this stuff, but this place is big enough to hold almost anything. The food they provide(hot dogs, burgers, grilled wings, corn, sausage, salads) is decent. Isn’t the best, but you don’t really come here for the food, you come for the fun. There’s activities for adults and children. I look forward to coming here every year with my family.

Great place to teach your kid to golf. Unfortunately it’s also an adult hackers convention. — they let groups play as a five-some nuff said
