It’s a little bit of a hole in the wall, but the food was good and the service was very courteous and polite. I had the goat karahi with rice and my wife had the chicken malai tikka and we split some garlic naan. We were both pleased with our meals and will eat here again should we happen to ever pass through Bloomsburg again.

They are one of the few Indian/Pakistani cafes in the area. Certain dishes are great in taste and quality: Chicken karhai, Keema Naan, Keema Paratha, Halwa Puri, Nihari, Shami kebab burger, Masala Tea, Dahai Baray. I would give four of five stars to all those dishes. Other dishes I did not think were quite as good.(eg. the biryani and dry tandoori dishes may have lots of rice [not in the tandoori dishes though] and not so much meat IMO) Many of their dishes like Chicken Karhai and Nihari are pricey — 10 $ for about a cup or two total in volume of 5 pieces of beef or chicken in delicious gravy. Other dishes are good priced too. If you pick one of the dishes I listed and order ahead of time and don’t care about price, this is a very good place.

«How bad could it be?» I was really rooting for this place. Really, I was. How do you mess up Naan? It was a thin burnt garlic carbohydrate which tasted more like a saltine. How do you mess up chicken tikka masala? 80% sliced onions with a heavy green pepper flavor. dark meat bony pieces of chicken in both the tikka masala and biryani. The dishes aren’t «saucy» at all, so what’s the point of even having naan? The rice was good. Overall, lots of spice but not a whole lot of flavor. I might venture back on my own to give the gyros a try. because I really want this place to be awesome. I’m rooting for you, Tandoori BBQ! Don’t do me wrong!

Spices were authentic, which means some people might find certain dishes too spicy for them. Flavors were well balanced. Garlic naan is excellent. Goat is excellent and spicy.

The chicken was too oily and the spice is too strong. I was disappointed in the food. The rice wasn’t that bad but little pricy for a restaurant like that

Very disappointed. I had chicken quorma which was 75% oil, and the chicken was extremely questionable. The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars(instead of 1) is because the naan was good.

I’ve been here a few times in the short time it has been open and I have been pleased each time. I only wish they would have more vegetarian options(none are listed on their menu). However, if you ask, they will accomodate. I have tried several veg dishes and each has been awesome. The only issue I’ve found is there is a language barrier at times, and you will have to wait a bit for food. But dont let this keep you from here! The food is made fresh to order, and the owners are kind!

So nice to have another non-chain food choice in the Bloom area. We finally had a chance to stop by this little Indian/Pakistani restaurant and tried the Mixed Gyro and Rice plate, the Goat Biryani and Garlic naan bread. We called in an order for take out as suggested in other Unilocal reviews and it was ready in 20 minutes. There is a nice sit down area in the back of the restaurant with 4 or so tables. The gentlemen who run the restaurant are pleasant and very willing to explain the menu items and prepare items to suit your palate. We would order the Biryani with considerably less spice next time. The tzatziki sauce was rich and delicious. It was different than we have had before but really fantastic. Our only criticism was of the goat meat. The meat was chopped still on the bone with slivers of jagged bone to be eaten around making it difficult to navigate the otherwise tasty meat. I would probably not order this dish again. We are excited about trying other menu items and will remember next time to request minimal spice.

Gets an extra star just coz its the only thing close to South Asian food for miles. Took my 3 tries to find a dish that really tickled my taste buds(Beef Nehari is OMG so good!) Prices and portions are decent. Would love to see more college crowd here

The food was incredible and staff super nice! We were able to try a large variety of food and very pleasantly surprised by it all. We will be going back a lot more — specifically for gyros, chicken tikka roll, and the chicken karhai. Oh, and of course the garlic naan! Fabulous!

Love this place for Indian/Pakistani food(takeout or dine in). Restaurant is new and sometimes the service is not perfect, but the staff is cordial. Atmosphere is casual. We’ve had the chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, and tandoori barbecue. We have these a couple times a week sometimes!

I had not heard about Tandoori BBQ’s opening until reading about it on Unilocal.A good Gyro is hard to find in Bloomsburg unless the Fair is in town, so I was excited to see them on the menu. Interior is very simple with several tables in the dining area. Tandoori BBQ is still setting up so it takes time to receive the food. If you are on a schedule it might be better to call and order ahead of time. I originally went in with the goal of getting a Lamb Gyro, but it would have taken 20 minutes to prepare. Ordered the Chicken Gyro instead and size of it was rather good. The flavor of the sauce was interesting as at first it was strong but blended into to the Gyro. I didn’t get a strong flavor from the chicken. They serve Pepsi products in 20oz bottles and from the fountain. Overall, I got a good amount of food for what it cost. I’m going to call ahead next time and try the Lamb Gyro. Tandoori BBQ is still establishing itself but I found it acceptable and will be returning to try other menu items.

Simple, unassuming location, and they are still settling in, but the flavors were authentic and satisfying. The goat biryani and the chicken tikka were generous and the saag paneer spot-on. Made us want to try more, but we ran out of room! My son grew up on Jamaican curry, but never tried Indian and he loved it, and took possession of all the leftovers!
