Visited Vance Music Center about a week ago in the early afternoon. I went in mostly just to look around, but I also wanted to check out a few of the electric guitar amps that were available at the store. Specifically, I was looking for a Fender Mustang II40-watt. They didn’t have that one, but did have the I, III, and IV(just my luck). I was asked if I wanted to try out the FMIII, and a gentleman upstairs helped me rig up a guitar and tweak some settings. He was very kind and went through the different settings for me while played the guitar. Wasn’t too pushy but also was interested in the sound I was looking for, so that was great. Prices seemed pretty decent, perhaps a little more expensive than, say, Guitar Center. Also, the upstairs section has a really low ceiling and I kind of felt like I was going to bump my head. Didn’t actually end up buying anything but the store seemed well-stocked with new and used items for all types of instruments. I was asked a few times if I needed help, but it wasn’t as pushy as at Guitar Center. Overall, I really liked my visit and will probably be back.
