Time Out

This little arcade has been extinct for quite sometime now, but I have some really fond memories of the place. My memories mostly stem from the height of the DDR craze and all the meet ups we’d have there with kids from Bloomington /​Normal /​Peoria and Champaign. Soon after the glory days of DDR faded, the arcade relied on pricey racing games like Initial D to keep them afloat, alas, it did not work. A lesson learned in chasing away loyal customers. Alladin’s Castle in Springfield and N’Play in Peoria both suffered the same fate. Sometimes it’s better just to fix a problem rather than sweep it under the rug.
TL;DR, great hangout for DDR meet-​ups, creepy counter staff. Everything you’d expect from an arcade that lived through the late 90’s and early 2000’s.
