Food was okay, service was horrible. Order was wrong, twice. Took over 45 minutes to get our food. It just isn’t that hard to not put mustard on a polish sausage.

I don’t know if ownership or management has changed recently or what… I have been coming here for years. The last 2 visits have had SUPERSLOW service. Food is good but you better not be on a quick lunch break!

This place is HORRIBLE& I’m not quite certain how or why it’s still open. I waited 23 minutes for fries & a single gyro no special request. The customer in front of me waited 15 more mins for them to correct a wrong order. If you want a great Gyro & service drive the extra distance to The Rock in Normal, IL

CALLITIN!!! That’s the best piece of advice I can give. Even then, expect a wait when you arrive to get your food. I roll in at 2:30pm on a Saturday and the place is pretty dead. There are 2 tables occupied, each a party of 4. I place my order for a breaded chicken sandwich, cheese fries, and a pizza puff. I ask about the taste of the pizza puff and the manager tells me «it’s very good, I love it, and if you don’t, I’ll give you your money back. That’s fine in his time, but in my time, I’m on a 30-minute lunch break and have to take my food to go. I fill my drink and sit down at a table that is lacking stability, it reminded me more of a weeble wobble than a table. I sit and I wait. And wait. And wait. I notice the two other tables hadn’t received their food yet. After a solid 20 minutes of me sitting there, they finally bring out the orders for the other two tables. In total I waited 34 minutes from the time my receipt was printed to when I was handed the bag. That’s pretty horrendous. The service might have been better had the gal working in the kitchen not gone for a smoke break, which she announced loud enough for the whole restaurant… And the manager was busy sitting at a table eating with someone, so he clearly couldn’t pay attention to his customers and speed things up, or maybe even help out if the kitchen was getting backed up. I did get my food, rushed back to work, late. Had to shovel the food down as fast as I could, which was not easy since it was scalding hot. As for quality: The chicken patty is pretty good. The«toasted» bun was kind of oily. The fries were salty and soggy with oil. The yellow cheese for the fries, which the option was«pepper jack or yellow», was not the greatest. I’d really prefer to not describe it to me, and if there are options, give it a name, lie to me, something. Don’t just tell me it’s yellow. The pizza puff which I’m sure was slightly crisp when it was pulled, pretty much sat and soaked it’s own oil and made it soggy, flavor was ok, but I wouldn’t be beating down the door to get one. It was hot, the order was accurate. It was slow, everything was soggy. I’d look past this place and try someplace else

Had the gyros and the taste was pretty good but the consistency of the meat was too soft. I prefer the firmer meat that usually comes off the Kronos cones. The pita was also a little too«white bread» for me. I prefer the gyros at The Rock in Normal.

Horrible and rude manager. They let anyone run a business with no people/managerial skills! Sat in drive thru and yelled hello for almost 10 minutes waiting for someone to take my order and when they finally answered and I order 2 small items it took an additional 16 minutes of my sitting and waiting for my order I called and spoke to manager and advised about crazy wait and all I got was«well you’re taken care of now». He had no care for his customer and show it in how unintelligent his response was. Never again. Mediocre food and even worse service at this location. Plus if you want to leave the dumb location has no way to back out or leave.

Very good gyros meal! The single gyro was plenty big, good sauce and onions were not overpowering. Fries were great! Fresh out of the fryer, thick cut, crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Tea was unsweetened and tasted fresh — brewed. Décor was cute and very clean. The bathroom was also very clean. Will definitely be back to try other menu items.

I really want to give this place 5 stars… They work with which I love! I will be exploring the«more than» aspect of menu items. The first time I ordered from them was a few weeks ago, just a burger… Not a huge fan of gyros in general. It was the best burger that I have ever had delivered, hands down, yay! Not a dry piece of shoe leather! Fries were decent, not bad, nothing to write home about. I’ve had worse. Now tonight I ordered a horseshoe. A southern IL favorite :) I didn’t think to order it custom other than meat preference. I was disgusted to see diced tomatoes on top. I hate tomatoes… There were also chopped onion on top, which I like but they were far too many and overpowering. Next time I’ll remember to order my horseshoe sans tomato and onion. I should also remember to order it on Texas toast or white bread because this one came on rye bread. Which is only slightly less gross than pumpernickel. Which is why I had to take a star away, managed to screw up a horseshoe! Its white bread, meat, fries, cheese sauce. When I was still a Chef, one of my favorite things to say? «Keep it simple stupid»

Best gyro I’ve had. I had a favorite gyro place in my home town, and I’ve never had any other place come close to it. This place tops it. We live I’m the pepper ridge area, so there is not much over here to choose from. We’ve been back more than a few times and taken both sets of parents when they were in town, and they have also gone back on their own lol. Other reviewers complain about the décor and atmosphere. I don’t know if they went out all dressed up expecting a fine dining place, but I think it’s very comfortable and clean. We take our 6 month with us and the owner usually comes over and talks to him for a couple seconds. Nice staff and exceptional food. Highly recommended :)

The gyros are great. This is the only trying we purchase beside cheese for fries. I dislike the interior décor. Free refills, plenty of seating, good comes out on an average time, not as fast as fast food though. Would return for a gyro ;)

great Greek food, Ya know what I like about this place? Its the gyros meat! It comes off the spiket not prepackaged like you might find in another place. The one next to JD byrider is very well managed and maintained. Ive been there several times(7 or 8) I have only had the gyro but im gonna try something else next time I go and I will be sure to let you all know what I think.

After you get past the horrible cars that J.D. Byrider is selling next door and find the strange parking lot, you’ll think, what did this business used to be? I just can’t imagine anyone designed a restaurant to look like this. The drive through is literally a drive through, as in there are walls on either side and a roof. Haven’t tried it yet, slightly concerned it is in fact a trap. The inside screams: cheapest furniture we could find. The menu is huge and easy to get lost in. Despite having a huge menu on the wall there are sign literally all over the walls for additional specials that are available. I went with a gyro meal, got fries and an iced tea with it. The fries weren’t great, but were edible. The gyro was pretty good. The Tzatziki was delicious and the meat alone had good flavor. Portions were obscene and made it a good value for the money. I went during the lunch hour and was shocked at how dead the location was. There were two other tables with people the entire time I was there. Not a bad thing as I had barely any wait to get my food. I’d probably go back more if the location weren’t so awful.

If you want a gyro this is the place. My recommendation is to order a single gyro, fries and an extra pita; oh and a friend, because that’s enough food for 2 hungry people. You might also want to bring your own heart paddles just in case…
