One if my favorite art supply stores, along with Michaels. The cats are adorable, and they have an abundance of supplies.

Yay art! I found out about Pygmalion’s through an art project they sponsored through the library. An employee of the store found a bunch of discarded linoleum tiles from the library remodel and asked the library if they could teach a printmaking class using the linoleum tiles. Pygmalion’s donated their time, materials, and space to teach this class. And, what do you know, I am hooked on printmaking! Staff here has been helpful with getting me the supplies I actually need and telling me what’s not worth it.

They truely do have a vast array of art supplies. I love that it is so diverst for such a small shop. Everytime I go to Bloomington, I have to stop by to see if there is anything that I can not live without. The staff is always helpful and nice. And, of course, the best part is the two live in cats that are always around. They are either asleep in the window, or slinking past you in the aisleways. I think it’s cute and endearing.

FYI: They have cats that live in the store — those with extreme allergies should be warned.

No matter what level you are on as an artist, this place has what you need. I’ve found markers, brushes and pens I thought weren’t made anymore and paper that defies description. I always order from this place for most of my art supplies. The drawing tablet selection is boggling, but the favorite thing of mine are the two resident cats.
