This place does not even deserve one star. I am surprised that the Mall of America allows this type of aggressive sales in the mall, although I think they have gotten rid of some of the kiosks that were similar. I honestly felt as if I had been abducted, as I kept trying to leave and literally had my hand grabbed to sit back down and have more crap slathered on it. I bought a nail care thing just to get out! Ever since, I have changed my usual mall«route» to avoid even walking past this place. Scary thing is, it must work enough for them to stay in business. How many victims were scammed into 2,000 skin care crap is frightening.

This place is awful! I actually went to the one at the Rosedale mall. I was lured in because they wanted to sell me a straightener which I needed and then this guy was trying to sell me $ 600 worth in skin care which I didn’t want. This guy wouldn’t take no for an answer and he kept treating me like I should give him a hug for the product. Terrible!!! Stay away from this place!

This is a SCAM! I fell for the sales ruse and can’t believe it happened to me; I am so embarrassed! PLEASEREADANDSTAYAWAYFROMGOLDELEMENTS — DON’T ACCEPTANYTHINGFORFREE! As an avid Mall of America shopper, I am appalled by the sales tactics and customer service at Gold Elements. I was approached by a salesman(Donatelo) to try a sample when walking by and love new skin care products so I gladly obliged. Within a minute, I was in a chair experiencing a hard, pushy sales pitch with products all over my hands, arms and face. I was intrigued by one of the products so he offered me a FREE facial, awesome right?! Well, it was in an small closet-sized room and noisy because it was open to the store — awkward, but I felt safe and it was free so I didn’t expect a luxury experience. I liked one of the products enough to purchase it — THISISWHEREITWENTALLWRONG. Now both Donatelo AND another salesman(Itai) were showing me extra products and throwing things in my bag for«free» if I bought what I was interested in and signed up for their monthly payment plan for some additional products. After purchasing the original ONE product, Itai brought over another receipt for $ 2,000 — conveniently as I was being distracted by the other. Apparently this was the monthly payment plan that I had yet to see the details, prices, etc. but they ran my credit card anyway! It was now closing time and when I turned around it was only me and the girl at the desk(both salesmen left for the night!!!), so I left the store confused, alarmed and sick because I didn’t understand what just happened. I went home to rethink the situation and decided to return everything immediately the next day. Day 2: the same two salesmen were there, so I waited to speak with one. Itai REFUSED to return ANY of the products because«it was very bad for him» and«he could lose his job». I showed him the receipt which clearly stated returns were accepted for 7 days. Itai replied, «no returns because I gave you a special deal» and«you should have told me yesterday». I kept referring back to the receipt, the fact that I was returning all UNOPENED items within 24 hours of purchase(well within 7 days). After about 20 min. he took my receipt and said that he would return the $ 160 product purchase, even though I should be charged for the Truffle Infusion Facial at $ 325(apparently NOTFREE). I inquired about the rest of the $ 2,000. He continued to refuse to return the items and said I needed to call customer service. I did so in the store and the representative said I needed to make my request in writing, but couldn’t give me the information to do so and I needed to call back tomorrow. I asked her for her contact information and SHEHUNGUPONME! I told Itai that she hung up on me and said«no she didn’t, you must have bad cell service». I asked Itai for my receipt back and he magically couldn’t find it — what?! He pretended to look for it and I saw it tucked under something on the side of the desk. I pointed to it and took it to review and he RIPPEDITOUTOFMYHANDS stating that it «was not mine and to excuse myself for being so rude». I took it back and it was indeed mine! When I looked more closely, the free facial was stated as FREE(no truffle infusion listed) with the $ 160 product vs. the $ 2,000 payment plan receipt. Itai said«I was lucky I caught that and should be thankful the other guy made a mistake». He refunded all but the $ 160 stating that I would need to pay for the $ 325 facial in order to return the products on that receipt. ATTHISPOINTHESHOWEDMETHEBROCHUREWITHPRODUCTSANDPRICESLOCATEDUNDERTHERECEPTIONDESK — NOTREADILYAVAILABLEFORCUSTOMERS! I left the store with my $ 160 in products and planned on calling customer service the next day. I ran into a friend, who works in the mall, and asked if I was being an unfair customer to get some perspective. We both didn’t feel it was right and went back into Gold Elements. Itai was gone, but Donatelo was still there in addition to a saleswoman. The saleswoman offered to help, but looked at the receipt and directed us to Donatelo because«his name was on it.» Donatelo came over and said he wasn’t authorized to do returns, but Itai was«the manager» and the saleswoman agreed. Donatelo verbally promised my money back because his name was on the receipt and restated that Itai would refund it the next day. Day 3: the same saleswoman greeted us and had us wait. We told Itai what Donatelo promised, Itai said he wasn’t the manager and threatened to call Donatelo. Itai PRETENDED to call Donatelo and discuss in another language. Itai said Donatelo denied it on the phone but soon after said he couldn’t reach him?! The saleswoman confirmed our story and Itai was clearly upset and spoke with her in another language. Itai started asking customers to tell us he wasn’t the manager and THREATENEDME saying«SOMEBODY’S GONNAPAYFORTHISAND I HAVEYOURCONTACTINFO, WEHAVECAMERAS!»

Had a groupon for a facial. This is not a spa, but a store pushing over-priced product. The facial room is no bigger than a broom closet. I could hear the associates trying to sell skincare products the entire time. «Price is $ 699 but for you, today only, $ 199.» I even heard them offering free facials to people walking by. I do not recommend.

OMGDONOTBUY A FACIALHERE!!! I agree no direct number. My husband bought my daughter and I a facial here. They first of all tell you your early and to come back so you come back. They stick you in a tiny dark room not big enough too even move around. Then the facial person rubs this CRAP on your face that smells awful and I asked if it had perfume in it-she said no our product is all natural and top shelf.(right?) Then it gets worse-she slaps your face and then takes out the sandblaster and brushes your face for about 15 minutes. I thought she was going to rub the skin right off my face. Oh she also stuck a hot stinky towel over my face for about 10 mn. and I couldn’t breath. I said to take this off my face. The whole time LOUDTRASHYMUSIC playin in background while some girl out front was trying to sell products up front to a guy she actually was flirting with and asked if he was married. They should not be allowed to do facials. I DOUBT if the girl doing them even had a license. BEWARE this is a high pressured sales pitch for you to buy their products… Nothing short of a BADEXPERIENCE. FAR from RELAXING.

I bought a Groupon for a facial. Awful. First off, there’s no direct number to the place, they make you call a 1 – 800 number, then they tell you someone from the store will call you to setup the appointment. If you miss their call because you work like me, you just do the same cycle of calling the 1 – 800 number and requesting a call back over, and over, and over again. I got there 20 minutes early, I walked up to insanely loud hip hop blaring from the store. I approached a guy and he told me I was 20 minutes early and needed to come back later. He seemed unhappy I was there. Okay. I came back and the hardcore sales pitches came. I just kept declining. Then I was brought back to a tiny dark room for my facial. This room was a joke. There was«spa» music, but I couldn’t hear it over«Flo Rida» in the front. I could also hear the employee conversations in the backroom where the employee was angry with someone else over the phone, then there were two people yelling at each other later on. I can tell from the smell of the crap they put on my face the stuff was cheap, but of course they’re trying to sell it for $ 100’s. I would have rather thrown my money away then come in for this facial.

I bought a groupon for a facial to this place. It is a sham! All they are looking for is to get people in the store so they can sell their high priced skin care products. The facial was performed in a back room with all the mall noise and store noise of listening to high pressure salesman selling their products; not relaxing at all. Did not feel pampered one bit. Would never go there again!
