2 years ago Rabbi Kaplan retired and a new Rabbi came to our little Synagogue and she literally split the community in two. People who had spent most of their lives in the Shul, turned away. That Rabbi, was not rehired when her contract came due. Instead, we went with an interim Rabbi who will be with us for two years and try to help heal the community and search for a permanent Rabbi who will be a perfect fit. So far, she had brought energy, wisdom, direction and a renewed sense of Jewish spirit to us. I love the work she is doing and I will be sad when she leaves but I know she will help us choose a good permanent Rabbi. If you are in town in the autumn, when we have the Jewish Food Fair, stop by. It is a huge event and everyone is welcome. So right now…5 stars. Great rabbi, great congregants and a great experience!
