2 weeks ago I had my battery changed at FARMANDFLEET. Last night when I picked my son up from school my car wouldn’t start when we went to leave. After having a friend, a random parent, a janitor, myself, and a roadside assistance guy look at it and try and jump it and try and get the terminals to connect I was left with no running vehicle. The first company ROADAMERICA tried to send to my rescue was ANYTHINGTOGO most know by now how I feel and but KEITHDAILEY and his antics. I called ROADAMERICA back and refused to use that company and requested a new company be sent out. They then sent ACE’S TOWINGANDRECOVERY. the owner DONNIEQUINN showed up in a Chrysler 300. He had been informed by roadside that my car was needing to be towed. He was very kind mannered told me his truck was on one call in Decatur and I wouldn’t need to worry about waiting he would get my car to my house as soon as his guy got back to town. So I went about my evening. The janitor informed me because of where I was parked I had to move it before 10pm or the city would have it towed and impounded. 930 rolled around and my car was still at the school. I called and called ACE’S TOWINGANDRECOVERY3 times. NOBODY answered! So I went with 2 different friends now and pushed my car to a safe parking lot where it wouldn’t be towed. Around 11pm I called back to STATEFARM and ROADAMERICA and explained what had happened. They both apologized and sent notice to my agent as well and contacted JOE’S TOWING to come tow my car. MATT who is the driver who arrived from JOE’S hands down is amazing! He brought my car to my house. After he dropped it he asked if I would like him to take a look. I of course said sure I’m open to anything at this point. I popped the hood he wiggled the loose terminal asked to give it a try and BAM it STARTEDRIGHTUP! I of course felt like an idiot after 5 separate people trying that and everyone concluding it was my starter that had gone out. But was very happy and incredibly thankful it started and it wasn’t the starter.

NEVER use these people. Over a three hour wait in freezing temperature, while told repeatedly they were on the way. And they refused to change a tire and insisted on towing the car. Simply awful!

Slower to arrive than originally told. Was told 10 – 20 minutes. Took 55 minutes. Driver unfriendly and said they always lie about the wait time so you don’t go trying another towing service. Never again.

**edit so– after dealing with them for towing cars Saturday mornings… it would be a 1. Rude drivers– too busy smoking to think about what they are doing. So, I averaged it out with another experience and they get a 3. Tell you what, it’s super fun to write about getting towed. So, around 6 this morning, taking my dog out to the FAREAST side of town for daycare when the car just stops. Husband is out of town, yada yada yada. Being the resourceful gal I am… hop onto my phone, find a number for Joe’s and voila. So, about the service; Sean(sp) was there in 8 minutes; super nice! Drives me out to daycare; drives me to the auto repair place; and then home. His shift is ended, this I know from the chit chat. Still super pleasant, polite, and friendly. So– as my first(and hopefully ONLY) towing experience, an a+. This had the potential to be bad, but it turned out well AND, in walking to work– made it on time.
