This is hands down the best restaurant in Bloomington, along with the Feast Market & Cellar. Every time I dine here, I am blown away by the quality and creativity of the meals. The ingredients are clearly fresh and the chefs seem to have a good time thinking up new twists on traditional foods. I gave my mother a birthday gift of a food basket from Feast and the value was incredible. It looked so beautiful, and I was very happy with the selection of foods(I asked the staff to choose things they felt would work together and look nice, as I live elsewhere and couldn’t go pick the items out in person). Thank you, Feast!

Two visits in, so it deserves a review. For those that have a wait ahead of you(it’s a small place without the patio option in winter)… The fried chicken and waffles is totally worth it. Stand there proudly and then eat your chicken with gusto an hour later. Why is this chicken so damn good? Juicy, tender chicken boobie and wing in a breading of delightful spices will make you think your in the South, where this fried delight is king. The waffles are little pillows of puffed goodness. Those are sprinkled with Pomegranate seeds to add a little sweetness and texture. Pineapple marmalade is incredible and makes this item a stand-out. And there’s something a bit spicy in the mix. Can’t put my finger on exactly what, but I love it. There’s so much dimension there! I may never order another item from here. Straying may only lead to disappointment. Coffee is decent although not outstanding like other brunch spots(looking at you, Milktooth!). Happy customer. Can’t wait for warm weather so my chicken and I can make sweet music on the patio together.

A little overpriced for brunch feast but overall nice place. The wait during peak traffic is a little high as their dining capacity seems undersized. Best put your name in, go grab coffee, and head back.

Went for dinner and had a great meal. The highlight of the place is the desserts! We started with their soup du jour and had the tomato soup and a beef mushroom soup, both really good. The beef mushroom was a little salty but it was manageable. We also started out with their warm feta olive oil spread with bread. I would definitely recommend it. We ordered the salmon, fried chicken and the chicken tamale. No complaints, everything was tasty and cooked well. The waitress was very knowledgable about the foods and was very accommodating. She let us sample the soups before so we could decide which ones we wanted! The dessert was to DIEFOR! So many mouth watering options and the Nutella Laté was the best part of the meal for me. Will be going back and next time want to try their brunch, but our waitress recommended getting there early because you can’t make reservations. Quality: 8⁄10 Atmosphere: 7⁄10(quirky couple sitting across from us) Creativity: 8⁄10 –A&R

Every morsel I’ve tasted from Feast has been wonderful. On my first visit nothing on the menu jumped out at me, so I built my own salad with grilled salmon. It was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. For the second dinner experience I ordered scallops, which came with pancetta and an interesting, herby pasta. Also great!

I know, everyone is mad about this place and the crowd is ligning up to get in. But you should not be presumtious writing here and my coffee experience is socialized in Vienna, Austria. Having said that, the Cappucino was very good. It would have been nice if a spoon had been served to enjoy the extensive foam. No pure cacao powder was to be found, but I’d rather have none than one that has extra sugar in it. The crab tartlets were spicy and nice and the egg on top a perfectly soft pouched one. I like the green on the side but the vegetables were scarcly sprinkled. Since I was there with two friends, one holding a 4 months old baby, we weren’t rushed too much. People were still ligning up as if there was something for free. I will try another time in spring, when I can sit outside, the coffee was convincing after all.

I love the tamales and pastries. I have ordered from them on a couple of occasions for events. The orders are always ready and delicious. We like to come for brunch and are never disappointed. The staff are helpful and very patient with kids. I love coming here. Just down the street from the park and with outdoor seating, you can enjoy a great meal after you burn some energy at the park.

Summary: delicious cake, good food, but maybe don’t get things with real flowers because they’ve got BUGS crawling on them! Feast has the best cake in town. I personally like their fruit/lighter cakes more than the chocolate ones, but it’s all good. Yes, it’s usually $ 6 a slice, but the decent sized slices and delicious delicious taste justify the insane cost. There have been 2 times I’ve carried out a piece of cake and they cut it ridiculously small; each time, I vowed that I wouldn’t go back & it’s too expensive… but then I crave more cake. The service is so-so. Highly pretentious, a bit slow. The Hillside store is vastly better than the small site on Patterson. The dinner menu is tasty but pricey, though not as good as anything made by the pastry chef. Until last night, I would have given Feast 4 stars… that was before I found a live silverfish in my carry-out piece of cake! After buying the cake, I never sat the box down before opening it on my kitchen counter. I am 100% positive that the insect came from the store, likely from the decorative flower that they put on the slice of cake. When I called the store, the employee thanked me for telling them, said they«guess that’s the problem with using fresh flowers,» and said they’d take the flowers off the remaining cake. They offered no refund, didn’t transfer me to a manager, and generally acted too flippant even though I had just purchased a piece of cake with a bug crawling on it. I contacted them online the next day and heard nothing back. Total WTF& they’ve lost me as a customer(which really sucks, because I love that damn cake.)

Breakfasting here after an early appointment I was interested to see the options. I chose biscuits and gravy out of curiosity about what they would to with them. What fun. Beautifully nestled in a vast basin was a gourmet turn on the old standby. The biscuits were faintly sweet and made me think of shortbread or scones. The gravy was wonderfully touched with tarragon and herbs. I prefer fried eggs to be soft and white rather than browned and crunchy on the bottom but this may be a cook’s choice variation. Ask for soft if you prefer them that way. The Maple Cinnamon Breve was scrumptious. I remain a fan of both locations for any meal.

I live right down the street from feast, and I hate that I don’t get to eat here more often . The space is kinda small, and my kids are pretty hit and miss about their behavior in restaurants …(I’ll be the first to admit, toddlers are hard to have a nice meal with) Anyways, anytime Ive been here, it’s been for breakfast … And their egg sandwich is absolute perfection … Which is odd because I’m basically praising a «regular ol’ egg sandwich». I think it’s the bread that it’s on, with this perfect buttery finish … Just saying it is A MUST . Now about service … I’ve had great service, and then I’ve had … I think the word I want to use is, pretentious … Almost where the sever seemed annoyed that i didn’t know what«thrice baked potatoes» were(delish…is all she needed to say)

Feast. To be quite honest, I saw this place and didn’t really plan on visiting because it was out of the way(I wanted to stick to places I could get to by foot). Well, that was before I stuck with this and walked all the way from the west side of campus to the Krogers north of that mall on the east side. My feet still hurt. It was also purely coincidental. I was on my way to visit the Tibetan Mongolian Cultural Center; I thought it was random that there was one here, which was why I absolutely had to go. While I was glancing at my GPS with my rental car(thank goodness the highest the speed limit got to was 35 mph!!), I realised that Feast was actually on the way. I remember reading that it had street parking and that parking could be pretty hard to find, but I looked at the time(almost 11:30AM) and decided to try it out anyway. There was actually a parking spot right down from the place so I pulled in without any trouble and walked inside. When I came in, there was no one at the front; I imagine that everyone was busy. I then asked a lady who already finished dining how it worked. Apparently, if you want something from the display case or off the drinks menu(similar to coffee shop fare), then go to the cashier. If not, then wait to be seated. That was when I saw that«Wait to be Seated» sign tucked off to the left. Ah. Within half a minute, a lady who ended up being my waitress came and directed me to a table in the back, right in front of the kitchen. I didn’t mind much, if at all. I wasn’t too hungry on the drive, but as I looked through the menu, I realised that it was a good time to get lunch. Before my waitress left, I asked her what I could and could not eat(I’m vegetarian, no onion, garlic, leeks, or chives) so I could plan out something doable for when she returned. Turns out that pretty much all the sandwiches/burgers could be subbed with tempeh! Also, the only thing that needed to be done was to take out the aioli sauce and the special butter(I believe there were bits of goat cheese and some kind of mild pepper in it) that came with the roasted corn was safe as well. I got the T.L.T(the BLT but with tempeh) along with the English Fog. I don’t remember exactly what was in the English Fog, but I do remember two main components: Earl Grey Tea and Milk… but fancier. The TLT was awesome — even without the garlic aioli. All the flavors combined with the thick cut and toasted brioche was great — I loved the tartness of the mild goat cheese they used. My only complaint: the tempeh they used wasn’t big enough. It never reached any of the corners and I only had a true taste around the middle. It’s sort of like PB&J — got to have that tempeh in every(or at least 85%) bite! As it were, I think we might have hit the 65% mark. :(The corn was sweet and the butter complemented it well. As for the drink, though it was good, I felt like it was more milk than Earl Grey… or maybe it was watered down Earl Grey. Either way, it could have been stronger. The good part: at least it wasn’t all that sweet. In general, I enjoyed it a lot. I was going to leave the other half of my sandwich for Hubby but ended up finishing it, telling him if he wanted, we can go together in person when he finally had time. It reminded me of a similar place called Boxwood’s in Houston(or at least the food did). The spot is on the smaller side, especially if you want to sit indoors and though there is outside seating, it was a bit warm for me. Food was excellent and the drink would be if there was more Earl Grey instead of milk. They do have other intriguing drinks, though, so I may try something else if I ever return. Service was awesome. :) I don’t have garlic or onion breath!

This is one of the best brunch spots in Bloomington, especially if the weather is nice and you can enjoy your meal outside. Be careful though, as seating is pretty limited and they are usually pretty busy. The first time I came I had the french toast, which I thought was merely okay. However, the second time I went I had the chicken and waffles which was PHENOMENAL. I was also extremely impressed with the crème brûlée dessert and the fun way the tea is served.

This place is my absolute FAVORITE place to get burgers. Their burgers are always cooked perfectly with a buttered bun, bib lettuce, and pickles that give the entire meal a sweet tang. Although I’m usually reaching for ketchup or mustard for my burgers, these need NOTHING else. Burgers come with a small side, which are also the perfect portion and perfectly paired. I’ve loved everything from sweet potato fries to their potato salad, which has kalamata olives — delicious! This place is more on the pricier side, but worth it. Classic burgers are $ 12 and specialty burgers are $ 15. Their desserts and coffee drinks are also magnificent. I recommend the crème brûlée cheesecake, key lime pie, and London Fog drink. Their service is also pretty good, and I like how they give you an entire bottle of water(which sneakily comes in a wine glass!).

So far one of my favorite dining places in town. Usually went there for Sunday brunch, but want to there once for dinner. I tried the main entrée called Salmon, and it was really good, healthy and fresh. Absolutely my favorite place for brunch and desserts, and I also tried an iced drink called London Fog in their new big market located on W Patterns St.

I guess this place is ok Those that fall for strategically placed food on plate to make a pretty presentation will like it. Especially as a place for a first date or early dating phase. Once you enter deeper into the relationship you want some damn good food for a reasonable price. This is not your place. I don’t fall for the kind of place it tries to be as I know the kind of place it is. The kind that overcharges for simple food items because they are somehow gourmet. It’s tasty but I believe in fair prices for a fair product and the price far exceeds the quality of product. I’m willing to pay good money for a burger but it better be one heck of a burger not just because it’s somehow gourmet. Anyway if the price exceeds quality of food it has to be made up by service or the atmosphere. Both of these are ok and do not justify the prices. Also I know that salads are easy way to make money by sticking a high price on them but that just adds to the cliché of the place.

When I went to IU unfortunately I never had the chance to get over to this amazing establishment. I missed out! I had the burger and the bread/cheese appetizer which both were amazing. Service was a little slow, took 15 – 20 minutes for our server to come over and it wasn’t busy at all. They had heat lamps outside which was great on a spring evening. I would definitely go back but just hope for quicker service. Seating is very limited.

What a feast! See what a did there ;) Jokes aside, Feast has got it going on. Service was friendly and offered great recommendations. I started brunch with a Nutella Latte because I am a Nutella fanatic. It was delicious, but tasted more like hot chocolate than an espresso beverage. I chose the banana pancakes, topped with peanut butter, maple syrup, and candied bacon. Tasty! The servings at Feast were just enough and not to the point where I was walking out with my pants unbuttoned. My entrée was two normal sized pancakes with one thickly sliced piece of bacon. I left perfectly content. I can’t wait to visit again to try the crab benedict. Who doesn’t love crab cakes?!

A small café with a good selection of espresso drinks. I dined in with a friend because she really likes this place. I must admit they serve some great caffeinated drinks! I ordered the bread appetizer, chorizo tamale, and the dirty south(coffee). Bread(3⁄5): I really enjoyed the jalepeno cheese bread and the bread with seeds. However, I did not enjoy the olive bread too much. I LOVED their lemon parsley butter! So fresh and zesty. It went really well with the bread with seeds. The olive oil dipping sauce was A-OK. Chorizo tamales(4⁄5): YUM! I enjoyed my chorizo tamales! The chorizo filling is located in the middle and you don’t get too much of it. So that was a bummer. The red and green sauce went well with the tamales. The rice was good, too! Dirty south(3⁄5): This iced espresso drink was good but it wasn’t worth the money. Overall, friendly staff and decent food. I would recommend coffee lovers to check this place out!
