I stayed here my weekend I was performing at The Comedy Attic — what a spectacular hotel. Best Fairfield I’ve ever stayed in — and I’m a Marriott Platinum member. Staff was incredibly friendly, breakfast was perfect(free btw.), it had a great modern update — and surrounded by restaurants. And check this… the fitness room was LEGIT haha… not dirty, old machines and run down — it was perfect to get in a quick workout and clean and updated. Whew, this was a completely hassle and complain free stay. And whoever Seana is, she was super nice and helpful and checked on me — great customer service. Thanks Fairfield Bloomington!

I stay at hotels a lot for work. Hotel is recently renovated and staff upon check in were very friendly. Room was very clean and had extra towels and pillows as requested already in the room. They are centrally located between the hospitals and surgery centers that I call on. There are a variety of restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast in the morning is great and has a good variety of options.

I absolutely loved our stay here! When my athletes walked into their rooms, they each had a Gatorade waiting for them with a note. I’ve traveled all over the states since 2001 and I’ve never seen such a simple/kind gesture. We really appreciate it! The rooms were clean and upgraded, lobby area was clean and being updated. We will definitely stay here again!!!

Decent hotel for this price point. Staff was friendly & helpful, room was clean, Internet is quick enough for Netflix, & the price was good. It’s about a 10-minute drive to the IU stadium, and the are plenty of food/shopping options close as well — a few restaurants in walking distance. Be extra careful on the wi-fi as there’s no sign-on, so anyone can get on. Didn’t notice any cigarette smell, and the elevator is still slow. I’ve only stayed here and at the Hampton Inn on Walnut. This place is the better of the two.

I’ve stayed at a few properties in the area and this one holds up especially for the price. The staff is great and good with upgrades. The overall hotel is getting old but they did upgrade the furniture, fixtures, TVs, etc. The gym has TVs on the cardio equipment and the pool is indoor and size-able. The breakfast is good for a small fairfield inn with lots of hot options. Rooms are a decent size, especially the suites. The holiday inn next door has free beer and wine and food and is better if you want to pay more. The towneplace suites next to that is the same group as this one and a bit fancier as well. For what I needed on a business trip this location works for me.

Rooms need major cleaning! Dust accumulated on the carpet corners and on lamps, bathrooms and air conditioner vents. Reception staff is friendly but the cleanliness is very poor. Far from the center of the city. Elevators are dirty too.

This has been my go-to place when I stay in Bloomington. I am somewhat restricted where I can stay due to my dependency on my CLC card, but this place accepts the card and has been a great place to stay. I have no complaints. Each time I’ve stayed here, the place has been clean, staff was friendly, and the location is near the amenities I prefer. They even provide supper each Tuesday night. They alternate from Pizza, to pasta, to subs. There has always been plenty to eat even when I’ve come back late. To me, this is an added benefit to not need to leave for a meal, not spend more money on food, and have plenty to fill up on. Whenever I am back, I’ll be sure to stay here again!

Dear Fairfield Inn: I really appreciate your followup. My stay was pretty good. I really appreciate the breakfast accommodations you’ve provided. They add a lot of value to staying at a hotel like yours. I had a choice between booking your establishment and another hotel of lesser price and of better location. Given your brand and the complimentary breakfast accommodations, I went with this particular hotel for the aforementioned reasons. Additionally, your front desk staff was very courteous and helpful. They provided some good recommendations of bars and restaurants in the area and were able to move quickly to resolve any issues. My only issue with this hotel was that the level of cleanliness: it was not up to my standards. I arrived and there was dried urine on toiletbowl at the top of the horseshoe of the seat. It wasn’t a little drop it was rather a large amount. It was rather disgusting. I suspect a hotel worker had used our hotel room after your cleaning staff member cleaned the room and it had passed quality checks; as it would have been obvious to an employee that the bathroom wasn’t clean. Moreover, the non-smoking room we requested smelled like smoke. It was rather unfortunate because our clean clothes smelled like smoke. It left an unpleasant stench in our clothes for the whole entire weekend. As we arrived, we did raised concerns to the front desk immediately. We feared we would get charged for smoking; even though me nor my friend smoke at all. Finally for your records, we stayed in room 104 for the nights of October 5th and 6th, 2012. Thanks for your time. Very truly yours, Chris J. Lee

The epitome of average. It’s toward the bottom of the Marriott chain and nestled in one of the armpits of Bloomington. It’s tucked just off to the side of two of Bloomington’s highways and shares a road with a below-average hibachi restaurant, other hotels, and a McDonalds. The entrance is in the back and walking in the front door informs one of how poorly this place was planned. They only have one elevator so you may have to wait for a while if you’re not a fan of the stairs like I am. It’s not terrible but definitely not good.
