Food was OK. 3 of us ordered ribeyes med-rare. One of the 3 came out well done. All 3 had a lot of fat. I asked for A1 steak sauce and got some off brand. Never been somewhere that serves steaks but doesn’t have A1 sauce. Salads were large and tasted pretty good. Service took a while but Was bearable. I’d probably go back but I’m not sure that I would get the ribeye again.

I’ve been there many times throughout the years after boating on Lake Monroe and living at the Pointe. The food is never that good and the service is always super slow. Drinks are reasonable… and you’ll need a few to stand the long wait in the dark nasty place with sticky wood seats. Go around the corner to Eagle Pointe instead where they have great food and staff.

We hang out at Lake Monroe with our RV sometimes at Lake Monroe village. We have been to this restaurant a few times. The first time was OK, as we had the chicken tenders and fries. The second time we went, the food was just short of bonafide swill. The only saving grace were the salads and the fried mushrooms, otherwise the grilled chicken on the soggy and strange rice pilaf and the prime rib was unbearable. The artichoke spinach dip was cold and tasteless. I think we will be dining in at our camper from now on!

My husband and I went to have King Crab Legs for the second weekend in a row. They weren’t as good as the weekend before. And, when my husband took a bite of his cold mashed potatoes there was a piece of plastic in it. We were very polite about it and our waitress was very quick to take it back and order something else. But, we were very surprised that she didn’t offer to discount our bill. We didn’t ask for one, but I think the waitress should have offered free drink or SOMETHING!

I wouldn’t even give this place a star, I have seen a lot of raw food served at this restaurant and it seems like the last time they cleaned was back when they opened in 86 also very dark can’t even see food menus.

Quiet and definitely off the beaten path. Rooms are typical, nothing fancy but totally fine. Nice view of the lake. Didn’t try the restaurant, make the drive to Scenic View for a great brunch!

I like Fairfax Inn! It’s not as cool as some of the places in town, but I like the laid back atmosphere. The burgers are great! The service is usually good. Tons of easy parking. I also like the little store. It’s more like places in smaller towns than a Bloomington place, but that’s what makes it a nice change!
