After throwing my money away at the drive-​through haircut chains (Great Clips), I finally decided enough was enough. I have driven past this place on my way home for years, and finally decided to stop in. I’m thrilled I did. Even being younger, sometimes you just want to be taken back to a simpler time, and that’s what Bill’s is. A no-​frills, no rush, laid back, barber shop. Not to mention I got the best haircut I’ve ever had in Bloomington. I will be a regular here for sure.

I got my hair cut for the last time at Bill’s back in 2004 and I’ve been searching for a place that measures up to his shop ever since I left Bloomington. Two states later (MI&CA), I still haven’t found a place that has the atmosphere, talk, and cleans up your cut with hot foam/​straight razor. Trish was who always cut my hair — not sure if she’s still there. If I ever find myself in Bloomington for a visit — Bill’s is a sure visit for a cut (and Little Zagreb’s for a steak!).
