We had a coupon for a free pizza as a welcome to Bloomington promo. We went in and ordered from the nice guy behind the counter. Really enjoyed talking to him about his military service and his plans to settle down after being discharged. Got home with our pizza and it was delicious. Nice crust, fresh toppings and tasty sauce. Salad was decent too, enjoyed the blue cheese dressing. Looking forward to ordering from Aver’s again.

Just ordered delivery on one of the coldest, snowiest nights of the year. Here in less than 30 minutes, order exactly right, delivery driver upbeat and delightful, despite the dreadful weather. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up! I’ll be ordering again soon.

We’ve ordered here about 4 times. Can’t beat the deal. Good pizza too! My girls love it which is a huge plus!

I was so excited to finally try Aver’s pizza after hearing wonderful things about it from several people shortly after moving to Bloomington. And I must say, it is pretty decent pizza. We ordered a half/half pizza of the cream and crimson and the beckon desire. Both provided an unusual blend of flavors that I would never have thought of. Definitely the first time I have ever heard of potatoes on pizza and it was quite delicious. The spinach lemon pesto sauce on the beckon desire was also great. All in all, the specialty pizza toppings were great! The biggest complaint I have and the reason I probably will not be returning is the breadsticks/crust. I have only had pizza from here once so maybe it was a bad day. But the breadsticks were full of air and were tough as leather. The crust on the pizza was very airy as well. It looks like a pan pizza but it definitely doesn’t taste like one. When it comes to pizza restaurants, its all about the crust and the sauce. Everyone can throw toppings on a pizza but it takes a great base to pull it all together. The food was also cold and we were early to pick up the pizza and only live 5 minutes away. All in all it is a decent pizza restaurant. It is far better than most chains but I also enjoy pizza at other restaurants more. If you haven’t tried it, its worth a try, you just may love it!

If you’re a vegetarian, you have GOTTOTRY the Cuban Black Bean pizza! The cilantro pesto, the cheese, beans, etc pair together perfectly to make one AMAZING pizza! We were pleased as punch with everything about this place. Our server was a sweet college kid who struck up conversation with my husband, the food was great, and it wasn’t crazy busy! We also thoroughly enjoyed the breadsticks with several dipping sauces! I must admit that I ate our leftover pizza cold the next morning. :-)

The Cream and Crimson is the most unusual pizza I’ve ever tried. It’s also the most delicious pizza flavor combination you’ll ever try.

Avers is my pizza, the only pizza I order in Bloomington. The Cream & Crimson is hands down my favorite pizza. Gorgonzola, cheddar, red potato and bacon. I always order it with a light bake and it’s extra good. If the only pizza I eat for the rest of my life is the Cream & Crimson, I will have lived a happy life.

The Pizza was really tasty. They also have a delivery with is awesome for a small business. Another nice thing they have is that they work very late(up until 2am) that is very convinient.

Terrible service. Called at 5:40pm for pizza. Got the wrong pizza and called back at 6:11pm to get it corrected. 7:11pm I called because I still had not gotten my pizza, they didn’t answer. I immediately called back from another number and they answered first ring and was like oh, yeah, we will send that out now. Almost two hours later and I still have no pizza and I am pretty hungry. They have my $ 22 though!!(for 1 pizza) I may even have to eat the nasty pizza they brought me the first time.

Aver’s Pizza is very good. They have several creative options. I really enjoy the Parthenon and the bread sticks are good too. Price is reasonable /average for the area. If you’ve never tried Aver’s you should give it a chance.

Tried the pepperoni pizza this time, very good… bread sticks eaten on the way home driving and dipping them in cheese all the way. I’m going for the Cream and Crimson next.

I definitely prefer Pizza X and Mother Bears, but Avers is okay. My biggest complaint is that everything I’ve tried here is super greasy. The Cream and Crimson is definitely the best pie they offer. The breadsticks aren’t that great, so you can skip those. Be sure to get the loganberry drink.

Whether you’re in a drunken stupor, hosting a game day party, or what-do-you-want-for-dinner? dilemmas, Aver’s has traditional and more gourmet pizza pies to satisfy any carb cravings. One of the two best pizza places B-town has to offer, hands down! Whenever, I visit, I gotta grab a small 8″ specialty pizza for myself(about $ 1/in of pizza), not bad! My all time favorite has to be the most unhealthiest pizza on the planet, *drum rolls* the CREAM&CRIMSON — smothered with a rich alfredo sauce base topped with thinly sliced, oven-roasted red potatoes, fresh garlic, generous dill, bacon, cheddar, and melty gorgonzola cheese. For the V’s, there’s plenty of specialty veggie pizzas available(when my healthy conscious kicks in — I’ll give them a try also). I’ve done the lambda gyro pi and build-your-own custom pizzas. Doesn’t really matter what toppings you throw on because I don’t think Aver’s can deliver a crappy tasting pizza.

Avers has good service and excellent ingredients. The only thing I don’t like is that their crust is a little too sweet. No biggie though because their sauce and cheese is great. I love their Italian sausage! It’s some of the best in town! It’s also a great deal. Very hearty pizza. We always have leftovers because it is so hearty and robust! Very thick wonderful pizza. Definitely one of the best Bloomington has to offer!

Best pizza in Bloomington, hands down. I recommend the Cream & Crimson, the Veggie Revival, and/or the Popeye vs. Dracula, but I’ve never had a pizza from Aver’s that I didn’t love. The breadsticks are excellent as well.

The pizza isn’t great but it is pretty good. The huge cheese bread, though, is the best thing ever for a late night chow fest. Fast and cheap.

Only ever had a few different types of their pizza, but both were delicious. One of if not the best custom pizzas in bloomington, the cream n crimson pizza is absolutely delicious. Their deals are decent and the regular pizzas are good. The crust is delicious on their pizzas, and the only drawback, at least from a college student view, is the price. Somewhat on the higher end when considering the other pizza options. That said, you get what you pay for.

Mmmm. I just stuffed my face for the umpteenth time with some delicious Avers, and they have hit a home run once again. As mentioned in a previous review, it is *very* difficult to get bad pizza here. They not only have the best variety of toppings in Bloomington, hands down, but every single ingredient is SO fresh, flavorful, and delicious! I have to say, one of my favorite specifications on any pie of theirs is to add garlic, and have it cooked well-done. Garlic + well done + ANYTHING out of their kitchen = an absolutely fantastic meal. And for how much I absolutely adore their pizza, I simply cannot rave enough about their chicken wings! They are the biggest, juiciest, most succulent chicken wings I have ever had, from anywhere. This is not an exaggeration. And they don’t just drench it in Frank’s Redhot like a lot of places, either. They have a unique wing sauce for their wings that has the perfect amount of both heat and flavor. They are, admittedly, a little greasy — but you’re ordering pizza, you know? This isn’t health food. And I confess that I dip my pizza in the remaining sauce when the wings are gone. It’s *that* good. They also have the best ranch dipping sauce, as well as a huge variety of others, each just as delicious as the last. I could rant about Avers for another 5 minutes, easily. But as this is already quite lengthy: TL;DR — Avers. Is. AMAZING. If you haven’t tried them yet, treat yourself immediately. It’s scientifically impossible to regret it.

Very difficult to get bad pizza at Avers. Consistently a winner. Try the various theme pizzas, and their vegetarian pizzas are great, too. No long line, like Mother Bear’s, no overworked waitresses slinging stuff as fast as the tiny kitchen can handle it. No botched orders(so far) at Avers. Only the good stuff. They deliver, usually quickly, and it’s worth it. I rarely give out a five-star, but they’re consistently good. Please move on if you’re on a diet, there’s no scrimping of cheese here. The July 2013 Update: I wish I could eat here more often, but I’d blimp. Still fine, still consistent. Other places come and go but Aver’s is one of my favorite ways to thoroughly break a diet and leave it quivering on the floor, moaning. We just fed four hungry adults on one of their large Beckon Desire pies– spinach, artichoke, pine nuts— all ground into a Genovese pesto finished with grueyere, red onion, and gone in under three minutes. Gone, gone, gone, dammit.
