Aim To Please Plumbing & Electric

Always good service, but this time they proved that they will stand behind their work. About 2 years ago Aim to Please installed a frost-​free faucet outside my house. When it started leaking this month, they replaced it free of charge. The product was still under warranty, but A2P still could have charged me for the service call. They did not. Thank you, Alan!

We called Aim to Please to come out and fix two toilets. They left and gave my husband a call stating that everything was fixed. We paid the bill that day and didn’t even ask for an invoice. That was a mistake. One of the toilets began to leak and we called the business again and ask them to take a look at the leak. The owner took offense to the fact that my husband mentioned that our tenant had asked his worker to look at the shut off valve. He seemed to blame our tenant for giving his crew bad information about the valve, although our tenant is not a plumber and not responsible for telling the plumber how to do his job. He did not take responsibility for his crew’s failure to diagnose the problem correctly. The owner some how decided that my husband stated that they caused the leak in the downstairs bathroom, that is a quote from the owner. We as owners of a property that was owned previously by an elder parent were not under any impression that the house did not need work. That is why we called the professionals in to fix the problem. The owner decided to go out and look at the toilet because his workers were busy all day, which is understandable. After I left a message asking for the results of the day, in the evening, we received a rude email where the owner of Aim to Please explained that we needed to replace the toilet, which we were never told on the first visit. Then he stated «this is an old house, poorly maintained, it will take a bit to get it to become a nice home again.» I’m not sure how many other customers he has charmed with his words. My husband emailed back and stated that we know the house is old and that is why we called you. The owner sent this email back, «We Aim to Please. We failed to please you. We expect you to call on others for future improvements to your home.» We don’t know if the job was too much for them but we were happy to find another plumber. Our question was and still is if the whole toilet needed replacing why didn’t they know that from the first visit? According to the owner the at least 20 year old toilet was never put in correctly, that is fine but why didn’t the first visit give us this information? We paid close to $ 400.00 and still have a leaking toilet. We are landlords that live in another state and the owner of the business kept stating that it must be hard to take care of a property from far away. We never have had a problem until this business. Beware of this company. He «expects us to find another company» when will he expect you to find another company also?

Good for what they are, very fast & efficient– they come in and out and get the job done. But buyer beware: You need to do your homework and know exactly what you want and communicate it very clearly ahead of time. They tend NOT to be very detail-​oriented or focusing at all on aesthetics, so if you have concerns, definitely be home and supervise the work being done, so no corners get cut or fixtures get damaged. I would NOT hire them to do ANYTHING that involved working on historic fixtures, for example. They don’t have any respect for them and are all too ready to replace them.

I stand by my original review, dated 4÷7÷2012 … only now, even more so.

Be careful when using these guys. Be very clear about the work you want done. Otherwise they will just find anything that needs to be fixed and work on it whether it is related to your problem or not.
