I have been a customer at 2 Day nails for many years but no longer. I had a pedicure done by Howard the owner. He applied callus remover and proceeded to scale my feet. That night I could not walk. The callus remover had burnt many areas of both my feet. My heels were raw as Howard removed not only the callus but took a layer of skin off my heels. The next day I required medical attention. I not only had severe burns on both of my feet both feet were also infected. I was required to take antibiotics for 10 days and apply a prescription burn cream twice daily. The following day I visited the salon where I was given a gift card for 5 free spa pedicures… like I would ever let them near me again!!! I could post pictures of my feet I would!

I will never return here. I went in on the good word of my friend, but truly wish I didn’t. The man who did my nails, who I assume is the owner, spoke zero English. He was filing my nails down and was cutting my fingers. The dremel tool slipped so many times I lost count. I still have the cuts a week later. My nails look as though it’s been weeks, not one. And not even a week in and my thumb nail broke. $ 35 dollars for something my 2 year old niece could have done? Never again. The place was filthy, and the tools looked so unsterilized. I have bubbles on my nails from the awful job they did. I’d rather go back to paying $ 45 for the nails that lasted me a month. I will never give this place my hard earned money again.

Had what I thought was a gel fill done today. Come to find out when I was ready to pay that it would be $ 60!!! This is the same place that charged me $ 35 last time. I questioned the price and was told I got some permanent new crap that cost more. I told him I didn’t ask for that and he knocked $ 10 off. Big deal… And to top it off nails don’t look as I expected but I’m stuck with them for at least the next two weeks or «permanently» like they said. What a rip off.

I’ve been going here for years. Not sure why I’ve never written a review. Maybe because I selfishly want to keep it as my secret. It is my peaceful place to go every 2 weeks. I get the spa pedicure and a manicure. Sometimes gel. Sometimes regular. The owners, howard and grace are wonderful. I feel like family when I go. I have never had anything but top quality care. This place surpasses salons in NYC charging 2 – 3 times as much. I just returned from there and noticed they’ve reduced their prices. If you haven’t been there before, or not in a while I highly recommend it.

I went in this morning for a birthday treat for myself with my mother and niece. Two of us got pedicures and one a manicure. The employees were very nice and efficient. I would go back again. We were the only three people in there so it was extremely relaxing. Some people came in for waxing while we were there ave everything was handled professionally.

The older man I have has no customer service skills at all. He had me sit in a chair that was still dirty I had to point out the fact it still was. Meanwhile he’s taking care of three other people. Never asked me if the water was at a good temperature just throws me right in. Meanwhile he’s skipping half the things my friend next to is getting when we are getting the same thing. I started 10 minutes later then her and finished before. For my manicure he was insisting I have gel on my nails. Not to sure how they are open. The only reason we came was because my friend wanted a manicure and pedicure. This place doesn’t deserve any stars to be honest.

If I could give this place no stars I would. I recently moved here and looking to find somewhere close I tried 2 day nails. Well the man was dragging around. While he was filing my nails with the electric file it kept slipping. I should have known right then get up and walk out it was that often. So I stayed. BADMOVE. He would not just focus on me. The other woman was not helping anyone but he seemed to be thr only one who could write out thr gift certificates and being the day before Christmas eve many people came in for them. Finally he finished my nails and I left with my 3 year old. Who normally will gets her nails painted while I do but thank goodness I did not do it. I got home and had to file my nails as there where spots that he did not separate from my skin. Later that night as I further inspect my nails I see some are lifting already and I actually have 2 that I can see air pockets. There is also one that looks like he filed to much in one spot. When I go back in today(the following day) and show him he actually went to just glue it while I sat in the waiting chairs. Not even put me in a chair to fix them. Was just going to glue. I stopped him before he could touch me again and walked out. I could have glued them myself. Gluing it would not have fixed any of it. Very disappointed I did not look at reviews before going. Now I will pay to have them redone somewhere else.

I took my cousin here as a girls day. I asked that we not get our cuticles done, but they did anyway. The nail dryers didn’t work well and I was annoyed that I couldn’t understand my manicurist. Also, the guy at the door tried to upsell us by $ 40. Are you kidding? Worse, after 24 hours one of my nails started to chip. I now know why they call it two day nails — and only charge $ 9 for the manicure — because you get what you pay for and there is truth in advertising.

This place is an assembly line. I usually get my mani/pedi in Pequannock but wanted to support a business in town. I made an appointment for 6 pm but got there 10 minutes early & was pleasantly surprised when I was escorted to a pedi-chair and started right away… that was the end of the pleasantness. The man who performed the pedicure stopped in the middle to escort a walk in customer to an available pedi-chair and got her started while I waited then he jumped back to me and completed the foot soaking, massage, etc. When it was time to apply the nail polish he asked me to get up and brought me to a chair near the front door and put a plastic stool in front of me and told me to put my feet up to dry(they were already dry). I sat there for a few minutes when a woman who was doing a manicure sat on the floor in front of me and gave me the fastest paint job ever. She then said«pay now» which is customary however she only charged me for the pedicure and said good bye. I had decided this would be the last time would frequent this establishment so I didn’t point out that I had an appointment for a manicure as well. Upon arriving home and taking a good look at their work I have nail polish on the skin on top of my big toe as well as both my pinky toes. Speed does not equal quality and part of the ambiance of having a mani/pedi is the pampering — all lacking at 2 day nails.

When I first moved to Bloomingdale, I searched for a new nail salon. I found 2 Day and really enjoyed getting pedicures. They were very attentive and the massage felt great. The polish lasted almost 3 weeks. Now, almost 2 years later, I am searching for a new place. They rush through every service and push the upgraded pedicures & additional services. The one man, who I think is the owner, gives the worst & painful pedicures. I asked him to please be a little gentler when he was massaging my legs but he does not speak English. I had bruises the next day. The gel manicures never last the promised two weeks. I don’t know if it’s the polish they use, the way they apply it or the UV but it chips & lifts after a few days.

Brought my daughter and mother-in-law there a week ago as a special«girls only» treat and wish I hadn’t. The person who did my MIL and my own manicure cut our cuticles — she was lucky to get nipped to bleeding only once, each finger on my left hand was cut to bleeding. One week later, my middle finger is healed completely, but there are still scabs on other fingers, my thumb and pinkie are the worst with very noticible scabs. In fact my pinkie looks like it got a small infection as the skin around it is red and if I bump it, it’s quite a sharp pain. When I pointed out the blood, the woman giggled and put on what I assume was anti-septic which stung like heck, but apparently didn’t do the job. On a side note, they did our pedicures first, but waited to paint the toes until after our manicures were done, forcing us to walk out in the wintertime in the cheap flip flops. It was like 20 degrees out. I will never return to this business. I can certainly understand one or two little nicks, but this is absolutely ridiculous. Adding: It’s now been 2 weeks and one day since I had my hand hacked up there and I still have one scab still on my thumb. TWOWEEKS. Save yourself the trouble.
