I am very particular about how I get my haircut. We have all had the horror of telling a stylist how we want our hair and then come out with something completely different. This place was nothing like that. I made an appointment here after being referred by a friend because my stylist for three years had left. I made an appointment for 4 and got there an hour early. Better to be early then late. The place is small, but very chic looking. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with friendly hellos and the owner introduced himself. Although he was busy with another client he was nice enough to ask me what I needed done with my hair. He looked at my hair and made an assessment of what he was going to do. While I waited, the woman at the desk offered me a water and I waited. I got washed and the girl was very nice. She made great conversation and was very attentive. Once Luis, the owner, began cutting my hair he told me step by step what he was doing. He made me feel very comfortable and there wasn’t any moment of awkward silence, like I usually get with most salons. The fact that he is able to do fades along the side and still cut the top so my hair fits the shape of my head made me very happy. Most salons do just the hair for men, but don’t do the beards. Luis did my beard, which was very unruly, and gave me some tips to keep it well groomed. By the end of the cut I was more than pleased with the workmanship. Plus you get an extra 10% off as a first timer. I think I found my new salon for years to come!

I have been going to Luis since 2006 and FINALLY he’s established this great venue that just makes you feel at home and 100% comfortable.
The quality and assertion for a great haircut is always there. The staff go above and beyond in making sure I get the desired time slots for my appointments and are great with the reminders.
I would highly recommend giving Sovella a chance, because for the price and outcome results, you cannot go wrong.

Great People, Great Customer Service, Great deal!
The first time I came here it was thru a groupon deal. I was looking for a new way of cutting my hair. After a 20 minute consultation with Luis, hairdresser and one of owners at the salon, I was confident he was perfectionist type. Days later I booked my first appointment. I left very happy. Luis took a lot weight of my hair. I felt lighter and sexier! He thinned out my hair with a scissor — no razor! Big plus for me. Two and half months later, I came back again and with a $ 10 mail coupon. Of course, I saw Luis again. So the second time around I left happy. It may have been 5 days later that I noticed my hair was not as light as the 1^st time. I tried different methods of styling my hair but still felt weight.
I decided to email my concerns on a Monday morning (closed) and received a response the following morning. Luis gladly accepted me 2 days later and resolved my problem without any charge. This is what I call great customer service.
Yes, I love a great haircut accompanied by great customer service.
Now details about the salon:
It is located on a corner where parking is very difficult to find on the street (no meters), at least the weekday evenings it is.
There are three stations in the salon and one sink (wash area).
The place always looks immaculate and does have a seating/​waiting are with magazines.
Luis and Nicole do offer coffee or water bottles as complementary.

It seems that the color/​brand they dye my hair with fades very quickly… And although Nicole does a good job, she always makes my color darker than what I want! I have told her that I don’t like that dark… In the few times I’ve been there I haven’t felt totally satisfied. Plus I think it is very expensive!

Great people when I first called. I spoke to Nicole, the owner and stylist. Very friendly, and know exactly what to do with your hair in terms of how oily, or dry it is. I will definetly be returning!
