IHOP

Let me tell you all the things I loved about this place. Oh yeah there inst any. From the manager, Greg, yelling and disrespecting his employees to the garbage covered floor of the kitchen (the cooks actually stand on garbage and the empty bags used to ration the food) this is the worst IHOP I’ve been to. The floors are moped in the middle of service, flooding the petite sized restaurant while customers walking with different style of footwear including heels try not to suffer a traumatic brain injury while sliding towards the exit. Of course the «extremely smart» IHOP management tries to steer clear from any liability by putting up several «wet floor» signs… Please do the community a favor and fire your incompetent manager, your staff doesn’t need to work in hazardous conditions as well as deal with verbal abuse. My heart and prayers go out to all the waiters and waitresses that work at this place.

It’s clearly an older IHOP, you can tell from the exterior (smaller than the average) — my parents and I went in to grab a quick dinner — we got seated right away by the hostess — our order was taken in a timely fashion — the food was delicious. Definitely no complaints with the food or service. The parking lot is on the small side though — I had to wait a couple mins to find parking in the lot — other than that a good experience.

The food was good so the chefs are not to blame. Management sucks and service is slow. The place also has a funky smell, like the rug is dirty. I will not be going here again.

when my mom was alive we came here often! shes gone 29 yrs but i came here one day as i was gioing down memory lane so to speak, i walked in and got put at a small table in which the rt cheek of my ass![yes i said ass!] hung off the chair and im not a skinny person! it took the watress20 mins to take my order and when i got it she acted like she did me a favor. i ordered a salad which was good but i asked could i be moved to a different table preferrably a booth i like comfort when i eat! i was tiold no! and pardon the next statement, my boobs were in my plate 1no im not dolly parton! the table was a kids size! which at 52 yrs old is hardly a table im comfortable at! but made me mad is a different person walked in and was escorted to a nice comfortable table! one other time i was moved three different times as a part of five came in at first, i was moved! and got comfortable and was asked to mopve again [ different visit] i should have gotten my food free. i will say i give this place a zero! thisplace has declined greatly as 29+ years ago my mom and i couyldnt go to bloonmfield center and not eat here! i havent been basck since and dont plan to either! i suggest they get bigger tables as not all people are thin! and shape up before they loose customers iclassify this place like a pending dive! i wont be eating here again ill go to the one on broad street in bloomfield!

This place sucks. It was dirty when I came in with my friend and the young girl (waitress) had an attitude. I was highly disappointed in the food as well!!! I won’t be going back!

This place is tiny. There’s an IHOP a couple of miles away on Broad Street that must be twice this size. If I didn’t live in walking distance, I probably wouldn’t come to this location. They have about a five parking spots and even the street parking gets full. The waiting area is long and narrow, so hope you can get a bench seat since there’s hardly stand room and it’s crowded for weekend breakfast.
The wait was not too bad even though it’s crowded. At some point the waitress stood right close to our table so a party could walk behind her. The area between tables is so small.
There’s a pretty decent standard menu. Service was decent but when it’s crowded you aren’t going to get too much attention. You want attention? Go at night. The menu is average but you’ll be the only one there. The breakfast food is clearly where the attention and tastiness is, but I’ve done dinner here and it’s not bad in a pinch.
Definitely a nice choice for breakfast, but if you can go early, do it.

I used to come to quite often, but now I’m quite disappointed, the food that I ordered tasted good, but I got the horrible service from the server Fabiola, she just screw up my day. She was so impatient and ignorant. she didn’t pay attention to me when I was telling her my order, and then she just messed up my order and didn’t apologize at all; secondly she didn’t clean the empty plates on the table even when she passed by the table, and did not refill my drink when she saw the empty cups, so when i asked for refill of my drink, she then made me the worst drink that I have ever had, awful!!! The first drink that she made tasted the way it is, but when I asked for a refill, then she had an attitude on her face, and served me the horrible drink… horrible is all I can say about this server!

I’ve been to a number of different IHOPs, but this was my 1^st visit to this location. Despite its proximity, I had previously avoided it due to not being sure about how clean it was. You know how most IHOPs have usually traditionally been a touch on the divey side (not quite to Waffle House levels, but not much above).
On the positive side, this site appears to be clean, including the bathroom, which was a relief. Staff is pleasant and I was checked in on sufficiently. There was no wait, but a Monday night would be slow at most IHOPs.
Food is neutral — I found my pancakes to be on the dry side, but I know that cooking skill varies, so I won’t knock the food on this visit since I thought my side order was ok.
On the negative side, accuracy does not appear to be a strong point here. I can’t tell if the inaccuracy is deliberate or not, but I would caution you to make sure that the order you receive is the same as stated in the menu in terms of quantity and price.
Specifically, I was shorted a pancake from my stack (menu said there should be 4, but I received 3). I pointed it out to my Server who stated that it was a «mix-​up» (there were only a few people in the restaurant at the time). To compensate, the side order that I ordered was comped. Since the meal was my dinner, I honestly would have preferred the extra pancake, but I appreciated the concession. When I got my check/​bill, I noticed that my pancakes were charged a dollar over the menu price and I should have mentioned that discrepancy then, too. However, since I got the free side, I just let it go, but I couldn’t help but wonder how many other people have been shorted in the same way. If the inaccuracy I experienced is a habit, it’s an (unethical) way for the restaurant to pad it’s bottom line.

Server was beyond great (other than he had to plead with the hostess to seat us). Not what I remembered :(no boysenberry syrup anymore. Owner doesn’t make temperature comfortable & will play with blinds while eating. Skip it.

The staff is good. The food is amazing as usual. I just love IHOP. The place was clean and staff was attentive. The service was quick.

Food is good, service is decent but the humidity while your just sitting there is miserable, went with my husband today and couldnt even eat because we were so hot.

Filthy Digesting Place To Eat… Puts Shame On The IHOP Namebrand From Waiters Having Saggy Pants, To Unprofessional To Finding Dirty Tables, Utensils I Just Had To get Up After Being Seated To Go Somewhere Else… Never Again… Even Called The Town Of Bloomfield Board Of Health As Well As Corporate On Them!!!

My husband and I went there last week on a twenty dollar budget and our waitress seemed nice in the beginning Lorraine was our waitress she gave us free orange juice I guess to manipulate us into giving her a tip. But then when we was leaving she gave us a horrible attitude and lacked professionalism. The food was great but the service was very poor and the other workers was talking loud and laughing instead of doing their jobs. I don’t recommended this place.

Usually go to other iHops simply because of the parking which is tight and pretty non existent here especially if going on a weekend for breakfast. I thought I’d give it a go for a sunday breakfast. Standard iHop menu and wait time thats about what I expected 10 – 15 min. My first problem is I don’t think they called my number — yeah instead of putting your name down they hand you numbers. So when I saw people come after me start going in I had to speak up, since apparently my number wasn’t called, the owner, I guess apologized and let me go next. This makes it seem they have difficulty handling big crowds which it kind of looked like. My server was ok but my next problem was she short changed me $ 0.30, not a big deal but c’mon. the register should calculate it for you. The iHop itself along with the parking lot is small. The service could be better. Definitely not the best i Hop I’ve been to and think I’ll pass for other breakfast spots in this area next time.

Garbage. Service was horrible. Our waitress never came to check on us and when I called her over because my boyfriend wanted more butter she didn’t even let him finish his sentence before putting her finger up and walking away and not coming back. Then when we left to pay we asked to split the bill down the middle. Well on a $ 22.95 bill they just gave us two separate bills of $ 13 and $ 9. Is that splitting it down the middle? No. And the person doing it was the manager. Get it together Ihop. Never going back.

I just left there so mad and hurt by the way they handle their customer service, especially by the manner (im assuming). Everything was fine until I handed the gentlemen my money, a twenty dollar bill, and he starts to check it… normal… then stats to rub it and so on the whole time this lousy waiter is behind me talking about (basically accusing me) «that’s a fake twenty, we don’t do fake twenties» giggling. The «gentlemen» gives me my change, I say thank you w/​no response given back, and I put my headphones on and sit down letting the issue go. However, I’m assuming they were still checking the TWENTY dollar bill and five minutes later he tells the waiter «HE AIGHT, HE AIGHT» and The quarter before giving me my meal ask once again «HE AIGHT». BTW THIS WAS OVER A FREE ROTTY TOTTY BREAKFAST MEAL. THANKS FOR THE HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND LOUSY ATTITUDE/​SERVICE.

Food was horrible when I went.
The pancakes weren’t even good.

I only give four stars because of. The service by our waitress, Destiny. She was sweet, gave suggestions, and took initiative thru out her service. Great job! The food wasn’t bad. My egg whites with cheddar were made to liking and my blueberry pancakes were to die for. My breakfast sampler was great! Unfortunately, my grits were cold and getting the help of other waitress was nearly impossible. Although I’m pretty sure my bowl was just topped off and put in the microwave, the rest of the meal was ok.

From my last experience at IHOP it So far so good! As soon as we came In we where seated and right away greeted by a waitress. Food came very fast and hot! And the bill at the end was great for all the food we had. I would definitely come back!

I give this IHOP three stars because it’s not about the food with them, but the service is kind of poor. They have like an dirty mop smell inside and there opening and closing time is falsely advertised.
