I have been training at the Afro-Brazilian Cultural Center of New Jersey since 2007. This facility has a multitude of classes from Capoeira which is an Afro-Brazilian Martial art, to a variety of dance and yoga classes for ages and levels. Everyone at this studio are always willing to help advance and work with the students that come through the door. The prices are affordable and the workouts are great.

What a work out! You want to get in tune with how your body can move and really learn the limitations of your strengths(and then feel embarrassed by how not-strong you are), Capoeira is the way to go. Not at all instructors are for everyone but Professor Gaivota is friendly and welcoming, he makes sure he is attentive and wants to get you up to speed. He isnt afraid to be playful and give you a kick or two on your first day! His passion speaks through each and every class and the two years I took classes with him were the most fun I had doing any martial arts. Kids classes are awesome, adults classes are awesome, this place is awesome!

Afro Brazilian Cultural Center is a very friendly environment with great teachers and a fun place to learn Capoeira where you can bring your kids with you. I love the being there!

Awesome energy in this class. Professor Gaivota is actually a Professor @ William Patterson in the Kinesiology Department teaching the first collegiate credit course for the art. If you are ever in Bloomfield NJ, please stop by and meet this top notch teacher of Capoeira. You will be glad you did!
