TJ Maxx

Last week, a friend and I made our annual pilgrimage to find each other a present. We have this weird tradition of purchasing each other the same thing, though it can be in a different color. One of my favorite locations of this store, is right here on Telegraph. Great selection and the higher end merchandise eg. Off the rack items from designer collections. During my visit last week, I spied some incredible Missoni knitwear pieces that were available for a fraction of the price. Well organized branch with helpful staff and lots to choose from. This store store stocks precious jewelry in addition to the costume pieces available at most locations. I will most definitely be back for a return visit.

I am neutral towards this TJ’s. Unlike the Tj’s by my house (Southfield represent), this one has a really large ‘designer’ section. It has some nice pieces but I don’t find any of them to be especially remarkable deals. They are probably equal to what I would find in the sale section of a Neiman Marcus. Of course you can find a gem if you pick around long enough, but this place is not a bargain-​designer-​clothing shoppers oasis.
This store always has such long lines here, I come at my lunch break so you would think it would not be so busy at one o’clock on a Tuesday — nay. Regardless, I will still keep coming because they do have a large inventory and as mentioned above you can find some gems from time to time.

Very rude manager wouldnt let me take my item back. Accused me of switch tickets? And it was from the front desk coorinator. Needless to say i called the 1800 number

This is the best tj maxx I have ever been too… Amazing quality products and there is such a turn around on inventory!!!

Not all Tj Maxx’s are created equal. While the Carpenter Road one caters to a younger crowd and had lots of Betsey Johnson, Juicy Couture, etc., this one appeals to a more staid, moneyed customer. Lots of Anne Klein, Michael Kors, Coach., more clothes than housewares.
They have a section called «The Runway at TJ Maxx» and it caters to the designer gal that wants a good bargain!

Paige Jeans Reduced to $ 10, any Runway TJ makes me extreamly happy, and this is a great one! In a not so great area, it was a great find with a huge selection of great jewelry and clothes, I’m in heaven!

Everyone has heard of the TJX Companies. Most notable are the TJ Maxx stores. The concept is cool, overstock. All the name brand merchandise that was not sold to high end departments stores. What’s the big deal about this TJ Maxx you ask? Well, the Detroit News declared it «TJ Saks» and this shop-​arella definitely agrees. All TJ Maxx stores will carry a couple of high end couture pieces from time to time. This particular store host what they have titled «The Runway» section. This section carries everything from jeans to gowns. The best part are the prices and the selection. You can score Seven for All Mankind jeans for $ 99 bucks (MSRP $ 189), vince (no type-​o on the v), Gucci, Moschino, etc. Since the economy is in horrible shape these pieces are hitting the clearance rack, giving you a bigger discount! The accessories are absolutely beautiful and the handbags make me salivate! Oh how I love the Maxx (or Sacs if you prefer!)
