This is the best breakfast joint in the Birmingham/Troy area. Great diner atmosphere — and clean. The hash browns and omelettes are the best I’ve had. Parking is easy. Highly recommend.

When it was still Deli Unique it had very good food and good service. Under the new name Nosh & Rye the interior has been improved very nicely. Unfortunately, the service has become very poor. Most of the old wait staff moved to another restaurant. It seems like nobody of the remaining staff likes to work there. Very sad, especially for me since I used to go to Deli Unique three times a week and loved it(except for the dated interior).

Great classic Sy Ginsberg type deli in Bloomfield Hills. Place is great and I like the update and service. They even serve Starbucks coffee. I will definitely be back!

A great sandwich, corned beef and pastrami as good as it gets. Decent prices, large portion. If you eat it all you will need a nap! Will surely return whenever close

Had a quick lunch there. Some matzo ball soup and a chopped liver appetizer. Good soup, ok chopped liver(too smooth). Big disappointment, no Dr. Brown’s soda. But I would definitely return because of their selection. Next time, I try the corned beef. Good for lunch. Friendly staff.

We customized our order. We had the #10 Turkey Ruben with coleslaw. One with the rye bread it comes with the other with sourdough bread. The sandwiches were good, and the Russian dressing was great! We’d eat there again. Other people with us really enjoy the omelets(eggs whites only & really fluffy & fresh).

I was a little hesitant to go in there after Matt Prentice left and it had been closed awhile. I also didn’t like the fact that the hotel looked pretty desolate, and wondered how much business the place did and how fresh the food could be. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in and it looked just like any day from all the many decades I had been eating there; the place was full of people. The food was good dependable deli food and the service was very attentive. Happy to see it is thriving again. Not sure what the situation will be in the future with new owners of the hotel and major remodeling promised, but it is nice to have it back in the heighborhood, if only for awhile.

This used to be a different eatery/deli and it was purchased and moved. Then a new owner bought this and renovated it for a few months, and opened it up as a new deli… All of that aside, the renovations modernized the place and made it feel a little less grimy. I like the cleaner more updated look, and the menu seems to be fairly familiar with a few basic changes. I had the mushroom soup and a turkey sandwich. The soup tasted bitter like they had used old celery in it, and it lacked mushroom, herb, or any other discernible flavor other than bitter. I ended up not eating it. The turkey sandwich was supposed to be «heathy», but came with Russian dressing and coleslaw on it? I asked for those on the side. The coleslaw was a bit watery and had a decent amount of vinegar. Not very creamy at all, which is fine if you’re going for a greek style coleslaw, but this seemed stuck in limbo and wasn’t very good. The sandwich itself was a very small amount of toppings on a very large bread. The avocado wasn’t even detectable, and the tomato had one small slice for the entire sandwich. One of my friends got an egg salad sandwich and said it was dry, her toast was burned, and the sandwich fell apart. The other friend got scrambled eggs, which they scorched, and she had to send them back. After this experience you might ask why 3 stars? The service. Our waitress was busting her butt and despite all the problems was very friendly and on top of keeping our glasses full. You could tell with some of her other orders that it was clearly the kitchen that was messing up, and not the wait staff. If the kitchen can get their poop in a group it has good potential.
